SW8000 How To
Prepare for Sweeping
1
Before operating any
machine, read the owner’s
manual carefully and take
time to learn the control
panel functions.

Check the machine for
damage, oil and coolant
leaks.

Check the hydraulic
system oil.
4
Check the battery
electrolyte level
(add
distilled water if needed).
Make sure the battery is
fully charged
.

Check the fuel level: LP
models – lift the engine
cover and replace the
Propane tank
(secure the
tank with the strap).
Gas and Diesel models -
carefully add fuel through
the fill port.

Check the engine air filter
service indicator – engine
models
(squeeze the rubber
dust cup to release built-up
dust).
Check the tire pressure
(90
- 95 psi for all tires).
7
Familiarize yourself with
the operator’s interface.
Adjust seat accordingly.
Insert key and turn
ignition on to continue
inspection.

Inspect controls, parking
brake, headlights, horn
and hour meter. Install
appropriate main broom.
Fill dust guard system
with clean water
(optional
for machines with this feature)

Plan cleaning route. Re-
inspect the parking brake
then prepare for sweeping.

Machine Operation

Adjust seat to desired
position.
Start the machine. Release
parking brake.

Engage foot pedal then
transport to designated
work area
(drive safely)
.

Push the Lower Hopper
Switch.
Move the main broom
level to the sweep
(middle) position.
4
Turn off the dust control
switch when sweeping
floor with puddles.
5
Push the Shaker Switch to
clean the dust control
filter.
6
Check your cleaning path
occasionally to make sure
machine is picking up
debris.
7
Put the main broom lever
in the Up/Off position.
Use shaker to remove
excess dirt. Drive to
dumping site to empty
hopper.

Hold the raise hopper
switch. Position machine
over trash receptacle
Set parking brake
Press open dump door
switch

Apply Hopper Safety
switch. Lower the hopper.
Inspect hopper door and
front edge seal. Use a
broom to remove litter if
needed. Release parking
brake. Push the hopper
safety handle forward then
lower hopper. Prepare
machine for storage and
daily maintenance.

After Use & Daily Maintenance

Shake the Hopper Dust
Control Filter.
Empty the hopper.

Shut down engine:
Raise brooms, change
engine speed to idle
(Gasoline/Diesel models),
turn
service valve off
(LPG),
run
engine until all LOP is
dispelled from the line.
Apply parking brake

Check engine coolant,
engine oil, hydraulic oil
level, parking brake and
clean main and side brooms.
(gas, LPG and diesel models)
