This document describes how to set and use the OSD menu for HDPTZ33X high speed dome camera
managed by DVR.

1 Precaution
1.1 Electrical safety
Conform to country and local electrical safety standards when using or installing the product.
Using local special power adapter.
1.1.1 Transportation
The dome should be protected against extremes of pressure, vibration and humidity during
storage and transportation. It should be shipped in the original packing.
Damage caused by improper transportation is not covered by warranty.
1.1.2 Installation with Care
Do not install it in any other orientation. Do not force structure parts which may cause
mechanical damage. Glass cover is a precise optical product. Do not touch it directly to avoid
fingerprints and scratches which can affect image quality.
1.1.3 Environment Requirements
Operation environment temperature：-10℃～+60℃/-40~+60℃
Humidity：< 90%
Air pressure：86-106Kpa
Don't point the dome directly into the sun or other bright objects when in use. It may affect image
quality.

1.2 Performance and Feature
This product is high-technology surveillance product with high definition and color camera,
variable-speed pan/tilt and multifunction decoder.
This product is easy to install and it has the following advantages: panning, tilting, zooming, low noise
and simple operation.
1.2.1 Bulit-in Digital Camera
●High sensitivity, high resolution, and integrated digital processing
●Auto-focus
●Auto-Iris
●Auto brightness control
●Auto white balance
●IR cut filter
●Auto back light compensation
●Auto slow shutter
1.2.2 Integrated and Multi-protocol Decoder
●All the data is stored inside of the camera, when powered off the storage
data will not be lost.
●Built-in decoder, integrated multi-protocol，including PELCO-D, PELCO-P, FACTORY, etc.
●128 presets can be stored, preset 1-80 support auto tour, and each tour can store up to 32 presets.
●4 patterns, 4 scans, 4 tours
●Built-in direction indicator and temperature indicator
●RS485 bus controlling in series, and dome ID 1-255 optional
1.2.3 Built-in Pan/Tilt
●Iron and carbon alloy structure, high intensity, and good heat dissipation.
●Precise stepping motor, rotates smoothly, reaction sensitivity and orientates accurately.
●Exquisite mechanical drive, support pan 360 continuously, tilt 0-90 and rotates 180°
with auto flip.

1.2.4 OSD Menu
●All the menu options are displayed in English.
●Video OSD menu. It is easy to adjust the dome information and parameters by
keyboard and menu display.
●May set park action, and set power up action or carry out appointed actions.
1.2.5 Internal Temperature Test
●When the temperature exceeds the upper limit, the screen will display alarm information.
●Automatic fan will measure temperature and auto starts or stops to prolong the
life of fan.
1.3 Function Instruction
This section mainly describes the main function and general principle of high speed dome,
and does not refer to the operation methods.
1.3.1 Auto-run Motion
●Focus/Speed Proportion Pan
The dome automatically adjusts pan and tilt rotation speeds according to zoom level which make it is
convenient to operate manually when tracking objects. When zoomed far the speeds will slow, when
zoomed near the speeds will increase. In the menu you may change system parameter setting proportion
pan to ON to run this function.
●Auto Flip
If user click the direction icon in PTZ keyboard, the camera rotates pan 180 degrees, then the camera
rotates tilts up to 90 degrees. In the menu, you may set the system parameter setting to AUTO
FLIP as ON to run this function
●IDLE RUN
By the menu “IDLE RUN” and “idle action”, user may set auto-call preset or run tour, pattern, and scan,
etc. After the specified time if the dome doesn't run any actions，the dome will run the set action.
●Power Up Run
By the menu “power up run”, after the dome powers up or restarts, user may set auto- resume motions
before power up and auto- call preset or run tour, pattern, and scan etc.

The user can control "Wide/Tele" to adjust zoom far and near of the image by keyboard controller to
obtain panoramic image or close view that you need. The speed dome support digital zoom and optical
zoom.
●Focus control
System defaults to Auto focus. When the lens changes, camera will auto-adjust focus according to the
center of the image to get a usable image; user also can manually focus to get desire image by operating
keyboard "FAR/NEAR". When operating keyboard joystick, camera resumes to auto focus.
The camera cannot auto focus in the following status:
●Target is not the Centre of the image.
●Observing both near and far targets at the same time, cannot be clear at the same time.
●Target is a strong light object, such as spotlight etc.
●Target moves too fast.
●Target has no edges, such as wall.
●Target is too dark or vague.
●Target image is too small.
Iris control
System defaults Auto Iris. Camera can rapidly adjust size of Iris, through the automatically induct the
changing of environment ray, and thus make the brightness of different image stable.
User may adjust iris by controlling keyboard "OPEN/CLOSE" to get required brightness that you need.
User also can resume auto Iris by keyboard. When controlling the Iris manually, the dome locks current
position you manually controlled; when operating keyboard, the dome resume auto Iris.
Auto back light compensation
Camera sub-area can carry out auto back light compensation. Under a strong back lighting conditions,
camera will auto compensate light for the darker object and adjust daylight to the bright background.
Auto white balance
Camera can automatically adjust white balance in accordance with the alteration of background
brightness to reach a true color.
1.3.2 Monitor Function
Set and Call Preset
Preset function where dome stores current pan/tilt angle, zoom and other position parameters into
memory. When necessary dome recalls these parameters and adjusts camera to that position.
User can store and recall presets easily and promptly by using keyboard controlling. The dome can
store up to 128 presets.

Tour
Tour is the built-in function in the speed dome. It can appoint setting in advance, and make pre-
sets arranged in needful order in tour dwell. By inserting presets in tour dwell, to make the camera
tour between these presets. Tour order can be programmed, each time you run tour, you can set park
time. A tour can store 32 preset.
Scan
User can easily preset right limit and left limit by controlling menu and menu, to make
the camera scanned between right limit and left limit at a setting speed.
Pattern
Pattern is built-in function in the speed dome; the dome can record the tracks that are no less than
180s, when running pattern, the dome moves repeatedly according to the recorded tracks. Each dome
can set up to 4 patterns.
Lens position display
The position that the speed dome has finished to self-testing as 0 point of pan rotation and tilt
rotation. The pan range is 0-360°, and tilt range is 0-90°. According to the displayed information,
to set the position of camera lens, and the position can display on the screen
1.3.3 Constant Temperature Function
Inner temperature sensor monitors temperature inside of the dome. When the dome works in
the high temperature it will automatically start-up the fan to reduce heat buildup and make
sure the dome works in the reliable temperature environment, increase its stability and prolong the
life time of the dome.

2.1 Procedure
2.1.1 Camera Control over DVR UTC
Step 1 Connect the high speed dome camera to digital video recorder(DVR), use the DVR pan-tilt-
zoom(PTZ) control module to invoke the PTZ operation interface, and select UTC,

Step 2 Click to enter the PTZ setting interface, as shown in Figure 2-2.

Step 3 Choose RS485 from PTZ Control Type drop-down list.
Step 4 Choose PelcoD from Protocol drop-down list.
Step 5 Choose 4800 from Baud rate drop-down list.
Step 6 Click Save to save the setting.
After setting PTZ, the user can control the mini high-speed camera with PTZ keyboard.
: UTC keyboard, it can control the direction of camera, also can set the main menu.
: UP button.
: DOWN button
: RIGHT button
: SET button
2.2 OSD Main Menu Interface
Call preset 9 or 95 twice with 3 seconds to enter MAIN MENU interface. The OSD main menu
interface includes SYSTEM, CAMERA, FUNCTION and INFRARED LED as shown in Figure 2-3.

Menu operation：
“BACK”: Back to the former menu.
“EXIT”： Exit to menu
“ON”： Open some setting
“OFF”： Close some setting

3 OSD Setting
3.1 SYSTEM
The SYSTEM interface includes DOME INFO, ID SETTING, CLOKCK SETTING, AUTO RUN and
DEFAULTS, as shown in Figure 3-1.

3.1.1 DOME INFO
Procedure
Step 1 Press the UP or DOWN button to select DOME INFO.
Step 2 Press the SET or RIGHT button to open the DOME INFO interface, as shown in Figure 3-2.

Step 3 User can view VERSION, MODEL, PROTOCOL, DOME ID and BAUDRATE.
Step 4 Choose BACK to return upper menu.
Step 5 Choose EXIT to exit the main menu.
3.1.2 ID SETTING
Procedure
Step 1 Press the UP or DOWN button to select ID SETTING.
Step 2 Press the SET or RIGHT button to open the ID SETTING interface, as shown in Figure 3-3.

Step 3 User can view S/N, CON, ID, and BAUDORAT.

Step 4 Choose BACK to return upper menu.
Step 5 Choose EXIT to exit the main menu.
3.1.3 CLOCK SETTING
Procedure
Step 1 Press the UP or DOWN button to select CLOCK SETTING.
Step 2 Press the SET or RIGHT button to open the CLOCK SETTING interface, as shown in
Figure 3-4.

Step 3 Press the UP or DOWN button to choose TIME and DATE to modify.
Step 4 Press the SET or RIGHT button to make sure to modify the value.
Step 5 Press the UP or DOWN button to increase or decrease value
Step 6 Press the LEFT or RIGHT button to choose next value to change
Step 7 Press the SET button to save the setting
Step 8 Choose BACK to return upper menu.
Step 9 Choose EXIT to exit the main men

3.1.4 AUTO RUN
Procedure
Step 1 Press the UP or DOWN button to select AUTO RUN.
Step 2 Press the SET or RIGHT button to open the AUTO RUN, as shown in Figure 3-5.

Step 3 Press the UP or DOWN button to choose AUTO FLIP,PROPORTION, POWER UP RUN
and IDLE RUN to modify.
Step 4 Press the SET or RIGHT button to make sure to modify the value.
Step 5 Press the UP or DOWN button to change modes. The modes of POWER UP RUN are none,
auto, preset 1-80, scan 1-4, tour 1-4 and pattern 1-4.
Step 6 Press the UP or DOWN button to choose IDLE RUN, as shown in Figure 3-6, the IDLE
TIEM can set the value 0 to 240 minutes. The modes of IDLE RUN are none, preset 1-80,
scan 1-4, tour 1-4 and pattern 1-4.

Step 7 Press the SET or RIGHT button to save the setting
Step 8 Choose BACK to return upper menu.
Step 9 Choose EXIT to exit the main menu
3.1.5 DEFAULTS
Procedure
Step 1 Press the UP or DOWN button to select DEFAULTS.
Step 2 Press the SET or RIGHT button to open the DEFAULTS, as shown in Figure 3-7.

Step 3 Press the SET or RIGHT button to clear all presets, patterns, and tours, restore factory or
restart. The character will be shining when the camera is performing the operation.
Step 4 Choose BACK to return upper menu.
Step 5 Choose EXIT to exit the main men
3.2 CAMERA
Choose CAMERA at main menu. User can set ZM DISP, AF MODE, LENS INIT, VIDEO,
DEFAULT and NEXT, as shown in Figure 3-8.

Procedure
Step 1 Press the UP or DOWN button to select ZM DISP. Press the RIGHT button to open or close
zoom display
Step 2 Press the UP or DOWN button to select AF MODE. Press the RIGHT button to switch
mode, such as AUTO, MANU and KEYAUTO,.
Step 3 Press the UP or DOWN button to select ZM SPEED. Press the RIGHT button to add value,
the value is 1 to 8.
Step 4 Press the UP or DOWN button to select LENS INIT. Press the SET button to initial lens
Step 5 Press the UP or DOWN button to select VIDEO. Press the SET button to choose mode of
video, it is only AHD mode.
Step 6 Press the UP or DOWN button to select DEFAULT. Press the SET button to restore the
default setting of camera.
Step 7 Press the UP or DOWN button to select NEXT, enter to interface as shown in Figure 3-9.
User can set LENS, EXPOSURE, BACKLIGHT, WHITE BAL, DAY&NIGHT, NR,
SPECIAL and ADJUST

3.2.1 EXPOSURE
EXPOSURE: Press SET button to enter the exposure interface, EXPOSURE includes SHUTTER,
AGC, SENS-UP, BRIGHTNESS, D-WDR, DEFOG, as shown in Figure 3-10.
