Important Safety Information
Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions may result in serious injury
or property damage.
The warnings, cautions, and instructions in this manual cannot cover all possible conditions or
situations that could occur. Exercise common sense and caution when using this box scraper.
Always be aware of the environment and ensure that the box scraper is used in a safe and
responsible manner.
Do not allow persons to operate or assemble the box scraper until they have read this manual
and have developed a thorough understanding of how it works.
Do not modify this box scraper in any way. Unauthorized modification may impair the function
and/or safety and could affect the life of the product. There are specific applications for which the
box scraper was designed.
Use the right tool for the job. DO NOT attempt to force small equipment to do the work of larger
industrial equipment. There are certain applications for which this equipment was designed. It will
be safer and do the job better at the capacity for which it was intended. DO NOT use this box
scraper for a purpose for which it was not intended.
Industrial or commercial applications must follow OSHA requirements.
WORK AREA SAFETY
Inspect the work area before each use. Keep work area clean, dry, free of clutter, and well-lit.
Cluttered, wet, or dark work areas can result in injury. Using the box scraper in confined work
areas may put you dangerously close to other cutting tools and rotating parts.
Do not allow the box scraper to come into contact with an electrical source. The box scraper is not
insulated and contact will cause electrical shock.

Keep children and bystanders away from the work area while operating the box scraper. Do not
allow children to handle the box scraper.
Be aware of all power lines, electrical circuits, water pipes, and other mechanical hazards in your
work area. Some of these hazards may be hidden from your view and may cause personal injury
and/or property damage if contacted.
PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating the box scraper.
Do not use the box scraper while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or
medication. A moment of inattention while operating the tool may result in serious personal injury.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing, dangling objects, or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing
and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in moving
parts. Air vents on the tool often cover moving parts and should be avoided.
Wear the proper personal protective equipment when necessary. Use ANSI Z87.1 compliant
safety goggles (not safety glasses) with side shields, or when needed, a face shield. Use a dust
mask in dusty work conditions. Also use non-skid safety shoes, hardhat, gloves, dust collection
systems, and hearing protection when appropriate. This applies to all persons in the work area.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
Remove keys or wrenches before connecting the box scraper to an air supply, power supply, or
turning on the tool. A wrench or key that is left attached to a rotating part of the box scraper may
cause personal injury.
Secure the work with clamps or a vise instead of your hand when practical. This safety precaution
allows for proper box scraper operation using both hands.
PRODUCT USE AND CARE
Do not force the box scraper. Products will be safer and do a better job when used in the manner
for which they are designed. Plan your work, and use the correct product for the job.
Check for damaged parts before each use. Carefully check that the box scraper will operate
properly and perform its intended function. Replace damaged or worn parts immediately. Never
operate the product with a damaged part.
Store the box scraper when it is not in use. Store it in a dry, secure place out of the reach of
children. Inspect the box scraper for good working condition prior to storage and before re-use.
Use only accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer for use with your box scraper.
Accessories that may be suitable for one product may create a risk of injury when used with
another tool. Never use an accessory that has a lower operating speed or operating pressure
than the tool itself.
Keep guards in place and in working order. Never operate the box scraper without the guards in
place.

⚠CAUTION
SCRAPER USE AND CARE
Do not force the scraper. Products are safer and do a better job when used in the manner for
which they are designed. Plan your work, and use the correct product for the job.
Check for damaged parts before each use. Carefully check that the product will operate
properly and perform its intended function. Replace damaged or worn parts immediately.
Never operate the product with a damaged part.
Do not use a product with a malfunctioning switch. Any power tool that cannot be controlled
with the power switch is dangerous and must be repaired by an authorized service
representative before using.
Select an area for assembly that is clean and free of any debris which might cause persons

working on the assembly to trip.
Do not lift heavy parts or assemblies. Use a crane, jack, tackle, fork trucks, or other lifting
mechanical devices.
Preview the assembly instructions before proceeding further.
If the assembly instructions call for parts or assemblies to be blocked up, use only blocking
material that is in good condition and is capable of handling the weight of the assembly to be
blocked. Also insure that the blocking material is on a clean, dry surface.
Never put hands, or any part of body, under blocked up assemblies, if at all possible.
After completing assembly, thoroughly inspect the machine to be sure that all nuts, bolts,
hydraulic fittings, or any other fastened assemblies have been thoroughly tightened.
Before operating the machine, thoroughly read the operation section of your Owner’s Manual.
Before operating equipment, if you have any questions regarding the proper assembly or
operation, contact you dealer or representative. Keep guards in place and in working order.
Never operate the box scraper without the guards in place.
1. Take all the components out from the packing crate. You will find most of the parts have been
assembled. Only the 3 Point Lift Bracket (#10), Brace (#8), and the Scraper Box Frame (#1)
need be connected.

2. Assemble the left & right 3 Point Lift Bracket (#10) and the left & right Brace (#8) first, using 2
sets of M16 x110 Bolts (#2), M16 Lock Washers (#7), and M16 Nuts (#6). Connect them to
the Scraper Box Frame (#1) with 2 sets of M16 x 60 Bolts (#9), M16 Lock Washers (#7) M16
Nuts (#6), and 2 sets of Lift Pins (#11), M22 Lock Washers (#5), and M22 Nuts (#4).
Operating Instructions
It is the responsibility of the operator to see that no one else is within twenty-five feet (25’) of the
tractor when it is started.
•Raise or lower the Box Scraper and shanks to determine how much or how little material you
would like to move.
•The deeper you set the shanks, the slower you will need to go with your tractor and the more
stress you put on the box scraper, as well as the tractor. It is better to take less material and
make more trips than to try to do it all in one pass.
•This unit can be used to push, but is really made to be pulled. If you are pushing, be very
careful not to over bind the lift and tie arms on the Box Scraper. Damage can also occur to
the top link on the tractor, as well as the tractor lift arms.
•Lower the blade to ground and start moving forward. Your speed will be determined by the
condition of the soil. You may need to use less or more angle depending on the job.
•The speed of the tractor should not exceed 5 mph.
•When you are turning, lift the unit from the ground.
•Pass diagonally through sharp dips and avoid sharp drops to prevent “hanging up” the tractor
and blade.
•Watch for hidden hazards on the terrain during operation.

⚠CAUTION
To prevent property damage, watch for and avoid catching the rake on stumps, large rocks, large dirt
piles, and other immovable objects.
⚠WARNING
DO NOT TAKE A DITCH AT 90° (straight on)! Always approach from an angle or damage may occur.
⚠CAUTION
Before dismounting power unit or performing any adjustments to the box scraper, make sure to
disengage power to equipment, lower 3-point hitch and all raised components to the ground, operate
valve levers to release any hydraulic pressure, set parking break, stop engine, remove key and allow
implement to come to a complete stop before dismounting tractor. Never leave equipment unattended
with tractor running.
It is essential that everyone involved in the operation, transportation, maintenance, and
storage of this equipment is aware, concerned, prudent, and properly trained in safety.
⚠DANGER
The shanks are extremely sharp. Exercise extreme caution when working around or near
the Box Scraper shanks. Failure to stay clear of the blade edges can result in serious injury.
⚠CAUTION
Stop IMMEDIATELY upon striking an obstruction. Turn off the engine, remove the key, inspect, and
repair any damage before resuming operation. Never leave the seat of the tractor while the engine is
engaged.
⚠CAUTION
Watch for hidden obstructions, like buried pipes, rocks, concrete piers, or uneven slabs of concrete
when operating the Box Scraper, as damage to the unit can occur. This is especially true with snow
removal.
Maintenance
Maintenance Safety
1. Keep all persons away from operator control area while performing adjustments, service, or
maintenance.
2. Periodically tighten all bolts, nuts and screws and check that all cotter pins are properly
installed to ensure unit is in a safe condition.

3. Never use your hands to locate a hydraulic leak on attachments. Use a small piece of
cardboard or wood.
4. Never replace hex bolts with less than grade five bolts unless otherwise specified. Refer to
bolt torque chart for head identification marking.
Storage Safety
1. Store the unit in an area away from human activity. Do not permit children to play on or
around the stored unit.
2. Make sure all parked machines are on a hard, level surface and engage all safety devices.
3. At the end of the working season, or when the box scraper will not be used for a long period,
it is good practice to clean off any dirt or grease that may have accumulated on the blade and
any of the moving parts.
4. Inspect the blade for loose, damaged, or worn parts and adjust or replace if needed.
5. Repaint parts where paint is worn or scratched to prevent rust.
6. Store box blade in a clean, dry place.
