The manufacturing process operates under Class 1 of the Medical
Devices Directive by fully complying with the essential
requirements for CE marking this product.
Flammability
The Cozyfoam Overlay meets the requirements of BS7177:1996 for medium hazard.
The interior materials meet the requirements of The Furniture & Furnishings (Fire) (Safety)
Regulations 1988.
User Instructions
The Cozyfoam Overlay has been designed for use over a mattress for patients in the
low-medium risk category.
Ensure that the surface of the mattress is clear from debris before placing the overlay –
debris can damage thecoating of the fabric.
Frequent rotation is strongly recommended for foam overlays as all foam grades fatigue
during use and turning will ensure loading is evenly spread across both ends of the
overlay.
The cover on this overlay is removable for cleaning purposes. Always ensure that, if
removed, the cover is returnedto the same inner. Using this cover on a difference foam
core MAY render the warranty invalid.
The label on this overlay has a unique batch number which should be used in the event
of a warranty claim. NEVERremove the label.
Instructions for use are screen printed onto the cover of the product for ease of
reference.
Indication of use based upon interface pressure readings–
not a prescriptive criteria. Always defer to clinician’s
judgement.
Cleaning
•For general cleaning andsuperficial dirt, usea single use wipe with a
solution of warm water and neutral detergent. Donot use abrasiveor
phenolic-based cleaners.
•To disinfect insitu, use a 0.1% sodium hypochloride solution (1,000ppm
chlorine) If required, a 1% Chlorine solution (10,000ppm) and cold water
may be applied fornot more than 2 minutes
•Thoroughly rinse the cover with clean water and allow to drybefore re-
use or storage
•Removable, contaminated covers should be laundered at 65ºC for not
less than 10 minutes or at 95ºC, for not less than 3minutes. Do not
mangle or iron.
•Spin & tumble dry at no morethan 60ºC
Warranty
Covered against faulty manufacture and materials as replacements goods.
Normal wear and tear expected would notbe included.
All warranties subject to terms and conditions of trading.

In order to claim under warranty refer to the batch number printed on the product
label.
Storage & Care
Store the overlay flat – do not fold
Do not place heavy objectson the mattresssurface whennot in use
Do not allow sharp objects to penetrate the cover coating
Keep the mattress clean
Regularly inspect the interior and exterior of the overlay
Do not store in damp conditions
