Safety and Handling Information
Important Safety Instructions
➢Read this instruction manual before using your IQbuds2Max wireless earbuds (the product).
➢Only use the earbuds in environments where Bluetooth wireless transmission is permitted.
Recommended Use and Storage
➢The Nuheara IQbuds2Max, are true wireless (Active hybrid noise cancelling) Bluetooth
earbuds intended to be used for wirelessly listening to music or making phone calls as well
as listening to the world around you using hearing compensation and noise filter algorithms.
➢Bud operating temperature range: -10˚C to 55˚C while in ear use.
➢The Case temperature range is +10˚C to 45˚C when USB Case charging active.
➢The Case temperature range is 0˚C to 45˚C when un-plugged and bud charging active.
➢Recommended storage conditions: Temperature 20˚C to 30˚C, humidity less than 93%.
Hearing Safety
➢Protect your hearing from high volume levels. Hearing damage can occur when headphones
and earbuds are used at high volume for prolonged periods of time. The sound quality of
Nuheara products is good at low and medium volume levels. Nuheara IQbuds2Max are
compliant to EN50332-1 sound pressure levels.
➢IQbuds2Max are not hearing aids and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or alter the
structure or function of the body. IQbuds2Max will not restore normal hearing and will not
prevent or improve a hearing impairment resulting from organic conditions. IQbuds2Max
are intended to amplify environmental sound for non-hearing-impaired consumers. They are
not intended to compensate for hearing impairment or to address listening situations that
are typically associated with and indicative of hearing loss.
Batteries
➢Nuheara IQbuds2Max and the Charge Case include rechargeable lithium ion batteries. Do
not attempt to replace the IQbuds2Max bud batteries or the charger accompanying battery
yourself. You could damage the battery which could cause overheating, fire or injury.
Batteries in this product are only serviceable by Nuheara or an authorised service agent and
should be returned to Nuheara for service or replacement.
➢IQbuds2Max buds or Charge Case should not be recharged in temperatures exceeding 45˚C,
or when conditions are expected to exceed these temperatures. Doing so could result in
overheating, fire or injury.
Charge Case Rated Voltage
➢The rated voltage range is 4.40V to 5.25V (>1.1A Ideally) (As per the USB2.0 standard)
➢Ensure that the AC plug pack to USB2.0 charger (not provided) meets the requirements the
requirements of IEC/EN60950-1 or IEC 62368-1 (from Dec 2020) and has been tested and
approved according to national and local standards.

Safety instructions for Lithium rechargeable batteries
WARNING
➢If abused or misused, the rechargeable batteries may leak, in extreme cases they may even
present a risk of explosion, fire development, heat generation, smoke or gas development.
➢At end of life, dispose of IQbuds2Max at a battery / electronic waste collection centre.
Preventing accidents and damage to health
➢Keep the product, accessories and packaging out of the reach of children and pets to prevent
accidents such as chocking or swallowing.
➢Do not use the product in environments that require special attention for example when
driving or performing skilled or dangerous jobs.
➢This product generates magnetic fields that could cause interference with cardiac
pacemakers, implanted defibrillators (ICD’s) and other implants. Always maintain at least 10-
cm (3.94”) between the earbuds and / or charge case and the implanted device.
➢Earphones can lead to ear infections is not properly cleaned. Clean Nuheara IQbuds2Max
buds and silicone ear tips regularly. If skin problems develop, discontinue use and consult
with a doctor.
➢Ear tips are designed to sit comfortably in your ear and should not be forced into your ear at
any time. If you have trouble fitting the silicone ear tips or memory foam tips, please contact
Nuheara support.
Preventing damage and malfunctions to the product
➢For safe operation do not submerse the product in liquid. Liquids entering the housing of the
product can cause a short-circuit and damage the electronics.
➢Avoid exposure to extreme temperature (hairdryer, heater, extended exposure to sunlight
etc)
➢Only clean the product with a soft dry cloth.
➢Clean the charging contacts on the earbuds and the charge case from time to time using a
soft cloth or cotton swab.
Information on Disposal of Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
➢Disposal of your device and its batteries is subject to WEEE Directive Recast (Directive
2012/19/EU) and Battery Directive (Directive 2006/66/EC).
➢Used electrical and electronic equipment should not be mixed with general household
waste. For proper treatment, recovery and recycling, please take this product to designated
collection points where it will be accepted free of charge.
➢Alternatively, in some countries you may be able to return your products to your local
retailer upon purchase of an equivalent new product.
➢Disposing of this product correctly will help to save valuable resources and prevent any
potential negative effects on human health and the environment, which could otherwise
arise from inappropriate waste handling.
➢Please contact your local authority for further details of your nearest designated collection
point.
➢Penalties may be applicable for incorrect disposal of this waste, in accordance with your
national legislation.

Reduction of Hazardous substances
➢Your products comply with REACH regulation (EC 1907/2006) (SVHC list (201 substances as
of Oct 2019) and ROHS 3 Directive Recast (Directive 2015/863)
➢Your product is also is tested to Californian Prop 65 compliance. This means it is tested to
ensure that the exposure to current listed chemicals pose “no significant risk level” for
cancer causing chemicals or “no observable effect level” for chemicals causing birth defects
or reproductive harm.
Warranty
Your IQbuds2Max products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for the
warranty period from the date of original retail purchase (if purchased at a Nuheara Authorised
Retailer) or the date of purchase if purchased on the Nuheara site, www.nuheara.com when used in
accordance with the applicable usage documentation. The warranty period is one year, or the
minimum period mandated by the regulatory requirements in the country of sale.
If the product is exchanged, the replacement product becomes your property and the Product
becomes Nuheara’s property. When a refund is given, the Product becomes Nuheara’s property.
This warranty excludes defects due to normal wear, abuse, shipping damage or failure to use the
product in accordance with instructions. This warranty is void in the event of unauthorised repair or
modification, or removal or defacing of the product labelling.
Except to the extent precluded by applicable state law, Nuheara is not liable for consequential,
incidental, direct or special damages arising directly or indirectly in respect of such products or use
or failure thereof, whether based on breach of warranty, negligence, strict liability, tort or
otherwise.
No Nuheara reseller, agent or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension or
addition to this warranty.
Some states and countries do not allow limitations on how long such warranties, conditions and/or
implied terms may last, so the limitations described above may not apply to you. This warranty is
offered in addition to rights and remedies conveyed by consumer protection laws and regulations
that cannot be statutorily waived and does not affect your applicable statutory rights. To the extent
permitted under applicable law, the duration of any implied warranty shall be one year.
For Australian Consumers: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the
Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and
compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have
the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not
amount to a major fail.
