IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT: Read the safety precautions of this booklet carefully before attempting to assemble, install,
operate or maintain the product described. Protect yourself and others by observing all safety
information. Failure to comply with instructions could result in personal injury and/or property
damage. If you are unsure about anything regarding your heater or these instructions, please
contact Omega Altise on 1300 795 572 in Australia or (09) 415 6000 in New Zealand before
operating your appliance.
1. Read all instructions carefully before using the heater.
2. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may
cause fire, electrical shock, or injury to persons. Do not modify this appliance.
3. Remove the package and ensure that the appliance is undamaged (keep packing box for later storage). In case
of doubt do not use the appliance and contact Omega Altise Service. Do not let children play with any parts of
the packaging.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance. Extreme caution is necessary when the heater is used by or near children or
individuals with decreased mental and physical capacity and whenever the heater is left operating unattended.
5. Before you use the appliance, check if the voltage marked on the rating label corresponds to the mains in your
home. The appliance must be connected to a grounded power supply.
6. Avoid using extension cords as the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire. If the use of an extension
cord cannot be avoided, always use one with a minimum rating of 13Amps. Do not use this appliance with a
programmer, timer or any other device that switches the appliance on automatically, since a fire risk exists if the
appliance is covered or positioned incorrectly.
7. Do not pull the power cord to disconnect with the power source. Always grasp the plug to pull it out.
8. Do not run power cords under rugs or other combustible materials. Do not place power cords in areas where they
can be a tripping hazard. Do not operate directly below a power outlet.
9. Do not insert any objects into the heater as it may cause an electric shock or fire or damage to the heater. Do not
block or tamper with the heater in any manner while it is in operation. To prevent a possible fire, do not cover the
appliance in any manner. Do not place on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
10. Do not leave the heater unattended. Always unplug the heater when not in use.
WARNING: The Function buttons should not be used as the sole means of disconnecting power. Always
unplug the power cord before servicing or moving the unit.
11. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Always use the handle when
moving the heater (where available) or hold on the sides if not available (make sure the unit is turned off). Keep
combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 1m from the heater
to the sides, front, rear & top.
12. The heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. It must NOT be used in potentially dangerous locations such
as flammable, explosive, chemical-laden, corrosive, salty or wet atmospheres. This heater is intended for general
indoor domestic use ONLY.
13. This heater is not intended for use in wet or damp locations. Never locate a heater where it may fall into a bathtub
or other water container.
14. Do not use the heater outdoors.
15. This heater includes a tilt switch that turns the heater off if it falls over. Once righted, the heater will completely
reset and can be used as normal.
16. Always move or hold the heater from the handle or top & bottom of the appliance, where less heat is generated.
WARNING:
To avoid danger of electric shock, unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. If the
supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its Service Agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the
heater. The heater must NOT be located immediately below a socket outlet. Do not use the
heater in the immediate surrounding of a bath, shower or swimming pool.

GENERAL HEATER PARTS
GETTING STARTED
1. Carefully remove the heater from the plastic bag and the carton, and unwind the cord to its full length.
2. Place the base on the screw thread at the bottom of the appliance and fix in place with the large plastic nut.
2. Place the heater onto a stable, flat and dry surface. Do not place the heater directly on carpet as the heat
generated may damage some carpets.
3. Turn the main power switch (at rear of appliance) off (down). Plug the cord set into a 230-240V~A.C. 50Hz
earthed electrical outlet. Turn the power on at the electrical outlet.

CONTROLS
MAIN POWER SWITCH
The Main Power Switch is situated on the rear of the appliance. To use the appliance, first switch this on (up). The
power indicator (blue LED) will light up and an audible beep will be heard. When not in use, this switch should
be turned off (and when possible, removed from the power socket).

There are 4 buttons on both the control panel of the heater and the remote control. Pressing any button will be
acknowledged by an audible beep.
a) On/Off button: Press this button to start the appliance working (the default starting point is the Fan Only
mode). To stop the appliance, press a second time. While the appliance is running, the fan indicator will be
on.
b) Mode button: This button selects one of the three heating modes available. The first mode is the Fan Only
mode (no heat), and is signified by the fan indicator being lit on the control panel (left hand side). Press the
Mode button once to activate the second mode, which is the Low Power mode (1200W). The control panel
will display the power “1200” next to the fan symbol. Press the button again to activate the High Power
mode (2000W). The control panel will display the power “2000” next to the fan symbol. Press again and the
mode cycles back to the Fan Only mode.
c) Timer button: The Timer button allows you to set up a timer (0-7.5 hours in 30 minute intervals). Each press
of the Timer button increases the timer by 30 minutes, and is indicated by 4 displays (0.30, 1.00, 2.00 &
4.00). The time to run is determined by adding up the different amounts (4.00, 1.00 & 0.30 would mean 5
hours & 30 minutes). This value can be adjusted at any time. To disable the timer, keep pressing the button
until the timer displays all turn off (timer = 0). During this time, the display will change showing the progress
of the timer. At the end, the heater will beep once.
d) Oscillation button: This button turns the oscillation of the appliance on and off (signified by the oscillation
indicator on the right side of the control panel). This works with the appliance in any mode.

SAFETY FEATURES
1. A thermal overload protector is built in to prevent overheating.
2. When an overheat temperature is reached, the heater will automatically shut off. It can only resume operation
when the user resets the unit (see reset instructions below).
To reset your heater:
1. Unplug the heater and wait between 5-10 minutes for the unit to cool down.
2. Then, turn on the unit again and operate normally.
A tilt switch is built into this appliance. If tipped over the appliance will shut off. Right the appliance to restart.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
WARNING: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE CORD BEFORE MOVING OR SERVICING, DO NOT
IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER!
Clean the body of the heater with a soft damp cloth. Always make sure that the heater is completely dry before
connecting back to the mains supply.
CAUTION: Do not use gasoline, benzene, thinner, harsh cleaners, etc. as they will damage the heater. NEVER
use ALCOHOL OR SOLVENTS.
STORAGE: Store the heater with these instructions in the original packaging, in a cool, dry place.
WEEE WARNING
This product should not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle where facilities exist and
check with your local authority for recycling advice.

HINTS & TIPS
Where possible your electric heater should be connected to a power outlet that uses a separate 10 amp power
circuit. This will avoid overloading your household fuse.
In the event that your household fuse is overloaded and trips, please note this is normally caused by the use of
excessive power outlets at the same time your heater is operating (for example, a steam iron, kettle, toaster etc.).
Please ensure to check the use of the power circuit and adjust when heater is in use (i.e. turn off the heater when
boiling a kettle).
