5. Switch on the iPad and unlock it (no passcode required from factory)
6. Setting up the internal wireless network and iPad connection settings:

6
7. For the iPad to communicate with the instrument a WiFi connection has to be
established. New instruments usually have this set up already.
a) If WiFi isn’t set up already, open the settings screen on the iPad.
b) Go to the WiFi tab
c) If ColdBlock is switched on, it should appear in the available network list.
Typically, it will be named “Bathxxx”, where the xxx stands for the unique
ColdBlock number. Select the network and enter the password. The
password is: orbisdraadloospw (for the network to appear it might take a
minute after switching on ColdBlock)
d) If the network does not appear, see Troubleshooting (chapter 10).
8. Opening and setting up the iLab app for the first time:
a) Open up the iLab app by tapping the icon from the iPads home screen.
b) No user has yet been created: the default account is “Open user” and
gives Admin level access.
c) To create users with either most restricted For security reasons it is
recommended to create one or more users, with or without password
protection. (User level), medium restricted access (Editor level) or none
restricted access (Admin level), go to User Settings in the System menu.
See Operation (chapter 4).
d) The iLab app is divided in three main menus: Tasks, Methods and
System. These menus ordered as a carousel. (image 6)
1. The first menu after entering the iLab app is always the Tasks menu.
The next menu is Methods. To enter this menu, press Methods.
2. You’re now in the Methods menu. The next menu is System. To enter
this menu, press System.
3. You’re now in the System menu. The next menu is Tasks again. To
enter this menu, press Tasks. Etc.
e) Most required testing programs for either CFPP, Cloud Point and Pour
Point are pre-installed in the Methods menu in the iLab app. For editing or
creating new programs, see Operation (chapter 4).
f) For more information about working with the iLab App, see Operation
(chapter 4).
