Carefully remove the rubber
ring and the plastic cover.
Use a flat head screwdriver to
slide the battery out of its
position and replace it with
a new CR2032 battery only.
(note the correct polarity)
Beside the battery are two
small springs which function
as speaker contacts.
Take extra care when
removing the battery as
these springs are very small
and loose. When replacing
the plastic covering please
ensure that the springs are
standing upright. The plastic
covering fits correctly in
one position only.
Please check that all parts
have been correctly
positioned before the watch
backing is put on. Each time
a new battery is fitted into
the watch, please press
the RESET button before
using the watch.

Learn States & Capitals. Using the most advanced

unique interactive qualities that make invaluable
contributions to childhood development. The Oregon
Scientific Watch N’ Learn series brings the world of
interactive learning to your child’s fingertips.
With the Watch N’ Learn States & Capitals, a child can
embark on the journey of a lifetime to learn about each of
the 50 states and their capital cities. Fun animations and
exciting sound effects accompany each question. The
added stopwatch feature allows children to time their
adventures with precision.
When it comes to developing a child’s mind, Oregon
Scientific products will help them achieve their maximum
potential.
Instructions
Initial Activation
When purchased the Watch N’ Learn States and Capitals
is in "Try Me" mode for demonstration purposes. Use the
tip of a pencil to press the "Re-Set" button located
between the "Time Display" and "Question" buttons, on
the left side of the watch.
Your Watch N' Learn States and Capitals operates with a
CR2032 battery (included). If the display or sound is
weak and unclear, please replace the battery as indicated
(see "Battery Replacement"). The battery included is for
store demonstration purposes only, please replace after
purchase.
Setting The Time
To set the time, press both the "Question/Left" and
"Answer/Right" buttons simultaneously. Pressing the
buttons once selects the hour hand. Pressing the buttons
twice selects the minute hand. When the correct hand is
flashing use the "Question/Left" and "Answer/Right" to
move the hands to the required positions. When the time
has been set, press the "Time Display" button to verify the
settings.
Once the time has been set and there is no further user
input, the watch will revert to "Stand-by" mode.
Dual Analog/Digital Time Display
You can personalize the Time Display format on the
Watch N’ Learn States and Capitals. Press the "Time
Display" button twice to switch from Analog to Digital
Time Display. Repeat this process to switch back to
Analog Display.
Please note that the default
setting is analog time display,
if the watch is "Re-Set"
it will automatically
revert to this setting.
Question and Answer Mode
To begin the Question and Answer Mode press the
"Question" button once. A question will be asked,
followed by supporting animations and sound effects.
Press the "Answer" button once to hear the answer to the
question asked.
Please note, if there is no user input within 10 seconds
after the last question, the watch defaults to the "Stand-
by" mode. If the "Answer" button is pressed after the
watch has returned to "Stand-by" mode, the watch will
automatically jump to the next question.
Stopwatch Mode
Press the "Stopwatch" button once to enter
the Stopwatch Mode. Press the "Stopwatch"
button again to activate the timer.
To stop the timer, press the "Stopwatch" button.
Press the button again to re-set the timer to "00:00".
To exit the Stopwatch Mode, press the "Time Display"
button, the watch will then return to "Stand-by" mode.

Battery Notice
• Keep away from fire at all times.
• Remove battery from Watch N’ Learn States and Capitals when not
used for extended periods of time.
• If display becomes weak or the sound is distorted, please replace
battery immediately.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
• Rechargeable batteries must be removed from the watch before being
recharged.
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
• Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to
be used.
• Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
Caution
• Keep your Watch N’ Learn States and Capitals free from water, liquid
toiletries (cologne, perfume, hair liquids, etc), and moisture.
• Keep your Watch N’ Learn States and Capitals free from dirt, sand and
other small particles.
• Keep the watch clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
• Avoid long-term exposure to direct sunlight.
• Avoid extreme temperatures.
• Do not drop the watch on hard surfaces.

Gently tap the watch on
a flat surface to loosen
the back cover.
