Voice Activated Weat er Station. T is device is designed to
give you many years of reliable service, including t e
following conveniences:
• Atomic calendar clock
• Optional wireless vibration alarm wit 8-minute snooze
function (Wake-Up Vibrating Alarm VR101A can be
purc ased separately)
• Sleep function wit 6 soot ing sounds
• 5 alarm melodies wit 2 volume levels
• 2-minute dual alarm wit 8-minute snooze function
• Time / alarm status projection unit
• Talking clock – can be trained to tell you t e time, alarm
and temperature status, turn t e alarm ON / OFF and

ETTIN STARTED
BATTERIES
T e main unit uses:
• 3 x UM-4 / AAA 1.5V batteries
T e optional wake-up vibration alarm VR101A (not included
in t e package) uses:
• 2 x UM-3 / AA 1.5V batteries
NOTE It is recommended t at you use alkaline batteries
wit t is product for longer performance.
Insert batteries before first use, matc ing t e polarity (+ and
-) as s own below. Press RESET after eac battery c ange.
NOTE Do not use rec argeable batteries wit t is product.

Batteries are low, or t ere are no
batteries installed and only t e adaptor
is connected
T e LED indicator on t e vibration alarm will flas red w en
t e batteries are low.TOR
T e batteries serve as a back-up power supply. To operate
t e voice activated function and for continuous use of t e
projector, install t e AC adaptor at t e base of t e unit as
s own below.
NOTE To elp conserve energy, turn t e PROJECTION
ON switc to OFF w en you do not wis to use it.
ABOUT ATOMIC CLOCK RECEPTION
T e clock automatically sync ronizes t e current time and
date w en it is broug t wit in range of t e WWVB-60 atomic
clock signal generated from Fort Collins, Colorado. For more
information, please visit: www.boulder.nist.gov/timefreq/sta-
tions/radioclocks. tm
NOTE T e signals are collected by t e main unit w en it is
wit in 932 miles (1500 km) of a signal.
TURN THE ATOMIC CLOCK RECEPTION ON / OFF
To turn t e atomic clock reception ON:
• Press and old for 2 seconds.
• T e reception icon will appear and flas on t e display to
indicate it is searc ing for t e atomic clock signal.

SET CLOCK / CALENDAR
Before you can manually set t e clock and calendar, you
must specify t e current time zone you live in and t e time
format (12- or 24- our) as follows:
1. Press and old CLOCK for 2 seconds. T e time zone
will flas . W en an offset our as been set (e.g. +1, t e
time displayed will be t e RF clock time plus 1 our).
2. Press or to c ange t e setting.
3. Press CLOCK to confirm t e setting and move onto t e
next one.
4. T e settings appear in t e following order: Time zone
our offset, 12 / 24 our format, our, minute, year,
MM / DD or DD / MM format, mont , day and language
for day of t e week and talking clock.
5. Press CLOCK or ALARM to exit t e Clock Setting Mode.
NOTE T e US time zones are PA (Pacific), MO (Mountain),
CE (Central) and EA (Eastern).
NOTE T e talking clock as 4 languages available -
Englis , Italian, Frenc and Spanis .
Once batteries ave been installed in t e clock, t e reception
icon will flas to indicate it is searc ing for a signal.
W en t e reception signal as been received t e reception
icon will s ow t e signal strengt as s own below:

To turn t e atomic clock reception OFF:
• Press and old for 2 seconds.
• T e reception icon will disappear from t e display.

Press SNOOZE / LI HT to activate t e backlig t for 8
seconds.
TEMPERATURE
T e clock displays t e current indoor temperature. To c oose
between °C / °F, press t e °C / °F button to select t e setting
you want.
ALARM
ALARM DISPLAY AND SOUND
T is product as two daily alarms t at can be set to go off
at t e same time every day. You can c oose to be woken
up by a melody, beeping or talking alarm sound and / or
vibration. See t e table below for t e alarm sound icon and
its meaning:

and 1 beep alarm to c oose from)

SET THE ALARM(S)
1. Press and old ALARM for 2 seconds.
2. Alarm 1 will start flas ing. Use or to toggle
between alarm 1 and 2.
3. Press ALARM to select alarm 1 or 2. T e our will start
flas ing.
4. Press or to c ange t e setting.
5. Press ALARM to confirm t e setting and move onto t e
next one.
6. T e settings appear in t e following order: Hour, minute,
alarm type, alarm sound and alarm volume (if melody
alarm as been selected).
7. T e daily alarm is automatically turned on after setting.
ACTIVATE / DEACTIVATE THE ALARM(S)
• Press t e ALARM button to toggle between alarm 1 and
alarm 2 ON / OFF.
• W en t e alarm sound icons appear on t e display t e
alarm is activated. W en t e icons do not appear t e
alarm is deactivated.

If you want to c ange t e time, sound or volume, continue
as follows:
2. Press or to c ange t e soot ing sound volume.
3. Press Sound / on / off to confirm.
4. Press and old Sound / on / off for 2 seconds to
enter setting mode.
5. Press or to c ange t e soot ing sound.
6. Press Sound / on / off to confirm.
7. Press or to set t e sleep timer to turn off after 120
90 60 30 15 or 0 minutes. W en 0 minutes is
selected t e soot ing sound will automatically turn off
after a few seconds.
8. Press Sound / on / off to confirm t e setting. SOUND
will flas on t e LCD display to indicate t at t e sleep
timer is activated.
TALKIN CLOCK
T e talking clock can learn to turn t e projector on, t e
alarm(s) on or off, and tell you t e time, temperature and
alarm status by listening to simple commands given by you.
It can recognize commands from up to 2 users. T e talking
clock voice prompts take you t roug ow to train and use
t is feature.
SNOOZE / TURNIN THE ALARM OFF
W en activated, t e alarm icon flas es, t e backlig t and
projector turn on for 8 seconds and t e alarm sounds for 2
minutes if no key is pressed.
To silence t e alarm:
• Press SNOOZE / LI HT to silence it for 8 minutes. T e
alarm 1 or alarm 2 icon will flas to s ow snooze is
enabled.
OR
• Press any key except SNOOZE / LI HT to mute t e alarm
and activate it again in 24 ours.
SLEEP TIMER / SOOTHIN SOUND
You can c oose 1 of 6 soot ing sounds to play for a set
time w ile you fall asleep:
• Bird
•Wind
• River
• Raindrop
• Waterfall
• Ocean Wave
To turn t e sleep timer ON:
1. Press Sound / on / off once, t is will automatically
activate t e last setting you used.

TRAIN THE TALKIN CLOCK
To use t e talking clock you need to train it to recognise
your commands. To do t is, follow t e key steps below and
listen to t e clock’s voice prompts:

prompts after approx. 1 min, it will sound a beep and go into
Standby Mode. To activate it, simply say your password.
NOTE T e talking clock as 4 languages available -
Englis , Italian, Frenc and Spanis .

• Adjust t e FOCUS knob to make t e image clearer.
• Adjust t e IMA E ROTATION knob to rotate t e image
clockwise or anti-clockwise.
• Manually tilt t e projection unit to position t e image or
press t e 180° ROTATION button to reverse t e image
and turn it upside down.
NOTE You can also press t e SNOOZE / LI HT button to
project t e time and alarm status for 8 seconds.
WAKE-UP VIBRATIN ALARM – VR101A
(OPTIONAL)
T e vibrating alarm receives a signal from t e clock and
performs a wake-up function by vibrating. It is designed to
go under your pillow.
T e device as a range of roug ly 50 feet and as an LED
meter to s ow data transmission and battery level.
T e switc wit in t e vibrating alarm can adjust to alarm 1
or alarm 2, or bot . Simply select t e alarm time on t e
clock unit w en you want t e vibrating alarm to wake you
up.
NOTE T e vibrating alarm is powered by 2 x UM-3 / AA
1.5V batteries. It is also compatible wit rec argeable
batteries.
T e talking clock language can be c anged in t e Clock
Setting Mode, see t e “Set Clock / Calendar” section for
furt er information.
TALKIN CLOCK VOLUME
To c ange t e talking clock volume, press or w en t e
voice-activated function is on.
ERASE THE TALKIN CLOCK TRAINED VOICE
COMMANDS
1. Turn t e AC adaptor power OFF and t en ON again, or
press RESET.
2. Press and old Sound / on / off and t e screen below
will appear.
3. Press TALK to erase t e trained voice commands. T e
“IIII” icon will stop moving w en t e memory as been
erased.OCK / CALENDAR
PROJECTION UNIT
T e projection unit can display bot time and alarm status.
To use t is feature:
• Slide t e PROJECTION switc to ON to activate
continuous projection. However, t is function will not work

return to t e default settings.
