2.1 Features
Four types of operating mode
External control Unit
– DMX512 Lighting Console (7 DMX channel modes are available for KREIOS PAR 162W/ KREIOS
PAR 162W IP/ KREIOS 144W/ KREIOS 144W IP, 5 DMX channel modes are available for KREIOS
108W)

Self-defined Program
– Powerful, useful, interesting software programming. Program without con- sole, fading, stepping,
strobing eect and random combination
– Download program data between luminaires (master to slave)
Static Mold
– Configure any color without console, and apply with strobe eect
Sound Active Mode
– Including two commonly used mode
“Software Blackout”
– Set the value of master DIM channel at 0 when executing internal program and self-defined program
under STAG mode (program run continually)
– Dierence from using “Hardware Blackout” such as “BLACKOUT” button: apply to individual (or
individual group of) luminaires only, avoid data clearance of console
ID Address Code
– Individual control of luminaires of lighting group (maximum 66) with the same address code under
– STAG mode (turn on, dynamic RGB, strobe, fade eect in sequence)

(Note: When temperature is at designated value, the controlling system will regulate the power
consumption to adjust the temperature until it’s balanced. The ranges of the temperature
adjustment will be different in different environments.)
2.2 Quick Start Guide
Operation Mode Switch and Configuration
– Any option displayed under main menu is defined as “external control mode”
• Default setting for the equipment is “DMX512 console control” with the 4th decimal point flicker-
ing, which receives DMX512 signals only. If doesn’t, please check if it is correctly connected to the
console.
• If you want to change DMX address code, please press the “MENU” button continually till “DMX”-
shown on the screen, then press “ENTER” to enter sub-menu
• If you need to choose DMX channel mode, please press the “MENU” button continually till “PERS”
shown on the screen, then press “ENTER” to enter sub-menu
• Five changing speed available, which decide softness of light changing ( “DIM” and 11th channel of
STAG mode under “SET” menu)
– If you need to apply “Master/Slave Control”, please enter “RUN” menu and select “SLAV”, and then
signals from master controller can be received (or download self-defined program from master
controller).
– Make sure that only one control unit connected (a master controller or a console): if multi signal
generators existing in the same channel, signals will interfere with each other and slave controller will
not receive data correctly.
– Please enter “STAT” menu to switch to “Static Mode” (switch to master mode automatically).
– Please enter “AUTO” menu to switch to “Auto-run Mode” (switch to master mode automatically).
– Please enter “SOUD” menu to switch to “Sound Active Mode” (switch to master mode automatically).

2.3 Master Mode
Only under below 5 conditions, it can be a master controller to generate signals:
– Enter “STAT” menu
– Enter “AUTO” menu
– Enter “SOUD” menu
– Enter “EDIT” menu
– Use “UPLD” to upload self-defined program under “SET” menu
2.4 Synchronize Multi-controller
When control multi luminaires via console and apply strobe, auto run mode, the console is simply
used to generate channel data. Strobe and auto run effects are realized by individual luminaires.
Please note information below:
In practical use, unsynchronization can be caused by many reasons, such as dierent start time and con-
nection time to console. You can change the value of fader to fix them (e.g. adjust from 20 to 0 and back
to 20).
1. Due to crystal frequency deviation among dierent luminaires, unsynchronization will appear after a
long time running.
2. Two ways to keep synchronization during long time running:
a. Strobe and auto run eect under programmed console control
b. Under master/slave control mode

3.3.9 Local Equipment Setting (SET)

• Select [SET] menu and press [ENTER]; it quits “External Control Mode”
• [UPLD] to submit self-defined data, press [ENTER] to confirm password, key-in the right password [UP,
DOWN, UP, DOWN] + [ENTER], light turns yellow* which means delivering data, and upload progress
bar will display on the screen, light turns green after finished. Light turns yellow* when slaves receive
data, and turns green after finished. If light of slave remains yellow, it means failure when receiving
data, please cut off the slave and reload data from master.
(*Note: for KREIOS PAR 162W/ KREIOS PAR 162W IP, the light color “yellow“ is actually green as
compensation.)
• [REST] is used to restore default settings, and press [ENTER] button for execution. Password: [UP,
DOWN, UP, DOWN] + [ENTER]
• [ID] is use to switch on/off ID address, press [ENTER] button, then press [UP]/ [DOWN] button, select
[ON] to permit ID address, [OFF] to shut down ID address
• [RGBW] is used to correct color shift, press [ENTER], and then press [UP]/[DOWN] button, select [ON]
to permit color shift correction,[OFF] to forbid. You can also set RGB proportion via [CAL2] menu
• [POW] is used to set power, press [ENTER],and then press [UP]/[DOWN] button to select [Normal] or
[High], [Normal=33%], [High=100%]
• [DIM] is used to set non-linear dimming, press [UP]/[DOWN] button to select, [OFF] to close dim speed,
[DIM1] to speed 1(fastest), [DIM2] to speed 2, [DIM3] to speed 3, [DIM4] to speed 4(slowest),slower
speed create softer lighting effect

4 Edit learning Program
In this chapter, you will learn some extension functions. You can skip over this chapter, if you are not
interested in.
You can edit 10 program at most, 30 scenes for each program, and 8 data for each scene. These data
means:
R-Red,G-Green,B-Blue,Y-Green Compensation*,W-White,ST-Strobe,T-Time,F-Fade time
(*Note: “Y-Green Compensation” is applicable only for KREIOS PAR 162W/ KREIOS PAR 162W IP)
In order to help you understand functions of each data, and edit your own program quickly, we provide
below example for your reference. Initial data of each program as below:

• Fade in or fade out effect is created by different value of two adjacent scenes, and light effect can only
display correctly when program runs continuously.
• If “Time” equals 0,the scene will be skipped over. If “Fade Time” is larger than “Time”, then “Time” will
be fading time.
• You can set “Strobe” and “Fade Time” simultaneously.
• If not familiar, you can write down the program on paper sheet and then key into the LUM, run the
program, check the progress and make adjustment.
• To grasp EDIT function is not a hard job, try to begin with easy programs and then complex ones. You
can create various of magnificent effects by yourself, use them and enjoy them.
• If use “REST” under “SET” menu to return to default, edited program will not be cleared out.
