General Safety Instructions
1. This manual shall be considered an integral
part of the battery pack / charger and should
be carefully looked after for subsequent
reference.
2. WARNING Read this instruction manual
before using this battery pack / charger and
always follow the Safety and Maintenance
instructions.
3. CAUTION This battery pack / charger is for
indoor use only.
4. CAUTION This battery pack / charger must be
stored indoors only.
5. Remove the battery pack / charger from
packaging and ensure it is in perfect condition.
Contact the place of purchase immediately in
the event of any discrepancies.
6. Regularly check the battery pack / charger’s
power cords for damage, such as cuts,
abrasions, exposed wiring or ageing. If the
power cord or plug is damaged, the complete
power cord must be replaced by an Authorised
Pacvac Service Centre in order to avoid an
electric shock. The power cord should only be
replaced with a Pacvac Approved Spare Part.
7. If either the battery pack / charger have been
dropped, damaged, left outdoors or have been
exposed to liquids, return it to an Authorised
Pacvac Service Centre for a safety check.
8. Do not immerse the battery pack / charger in
any liquid.
9. Do not leave battery pack to recharge
unattended overnight in charger.
10. These appliances are not intended for use
by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless
theyhavebeengivensupervisionorinstruction
concerning use of the battery pack / charger
by a person responsible for their safety.
11. Only use Pacvac’s recommended attachments
/ components.
Battery Pack
1. WARNING Before every use, check the
battery pack for any sign of damage or
leakage.
2. If the battery pack is leaking or damaged,
ensure it does not come into contact with
exposed skin. Return it to an Authorised
Pacvac Service Centre for disposal. WARNING
Contact with leaking liquid from battery pack
can cause skin irritation, burns and chemical
burns. Wash aected areas of skin with
plenty of clean water and soap; seek medical
attention.
3. Do not crush or expose the battery pack to any
shock or force such as hammering, dropping
or stepping on it.
4. Do not open or disassemble the battery pack.
5. Do not expose the battery pack to high
temperature above 50°C (122°F) such as in
direct sunlight.
6. Do not expose to re or open ame.
7. Do not short-circuit and do not allow metal
objects to come into contact with the battery
pack connectors.
8. Do not immerse the battery pack in any liquid.
9. Do not charge the battery pack below 0°C or
above 50°C.
10. Do not charge damaged or leaking battery pack.
11. Do not store battery pack in areas below 0°C
or above 50°C.
12. Do not puncture, deform, incinerate or heat
above the declared operating temperature
range.
13. Only charge the battery pack using a genuine
Pacvac approved battery charger.
14. Do not pull or carry the battery by the power
cords.
15. The battery pack may be charged while xed
to the vacuum (machine must be switched o)
or it may be removed for charging.
16. This battery contains Lithium-ion batteries
Used battery packs should be placed in a
sealed plastic bag and disposed of safely
according to local environmental regulations.
17. ATTENTION Transportation and Storage
Please visit www.iata.org for further
details regarding the transportation of the
rechargeable battery pack.

Battery Charger
1. CAUTION To reduce the risk of injury,
charge only Pacvac approved lithium-ion
type rechargeable batteries. Other types of
batteries may burst causing personal injury
and damage.
2. The electrical specications are noted on the
label found on the battery charger.
3. Check all cords regularly for any sign of
damage.Do not use if damaged.
4. In case of damage to the device or cords,
return it to your place of purchase.
5. Use and store charger in a dry place and do
not expose charger to moisture.
6. Do not use the charger if it is wet or in an
environment which is explosive or hazardous.
7. Do not pull, carry or drag the charger by its
cords.
8. Do not handle the charger or the cords with
wet hands.
9. Do not pull the cord to unplug charger from
the mains.To unplug, switch o socket,
grasp the plug head and pull gently.
10. Do not cover the charger.
11. Do not open the charger.Repairs must be
conducted by an Authorised Pacvac Service
Centre.
1. WARNING If liquid from battery pack comes
into contact with eyes, ush eyes with clean
water for at least 15 minutes without rubbing
and imediately seek medical attention.
2. WARNING Contact with leaking liquid from
battery pack can cause skin irritation, burns
andchemicalburns.Removeallcontaminated
clothing, including footwear. Wash aected
areas of skin with plenty of clean water and
soap; seek medical attention.
3. WARNING Avoid inhaling any vapours formed
or released. If vapours are inhaled, provide
fresh air and immediately seek medical
attention.
4. WARNING Ingestion; if electrolyte has been
ingested,seekmedicalattentionimmediately.

1. Meaning of crossed–out wheeled
dustbin with line:
Do not dispose of electrical
appliances as unsorted municipal
waste, use separate collection facilities.
Contact your local government for more
information.
If electrical appliances are disposed of in
landlls or dumps, hazardous substances
can leak into the groundwater and get into
the food chain, damaging your health and
wellbeing.
Europe Only - When replacing old
appliances with new ones, please check
if the retailer is legally obligated to take
back your old appliance for disposal.
2. Meaning of crossed–out wheeled
dustbin:
Disposal of waste batteries. This
symbol on the battery pack or on the
packaging indicates that the battery pack
provided shall not be treated as household
waste. By ensuring this battery pack is
disposed correctly, you will help prevent
potentially negative consequences for the
environment and human health which could
otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste
handling of the battery. The recycling of
the materials will help to conserve natural
resources. Contact your local government for
more information.
Europe Only - When replacing old
appliances with new ones, please check

3. The CE Mark certies that a product
has met EU consumer safety, health
or environmental requirements.

Operating Instructions
Charging the battery pack
1. Before rst use, ensure the battery pack is
fully charged.
2. The battery pack must be stored fully charged.
3. Ifbatterypackremainsunusedforlongperiods
of time, ensure the battery pack is removed
from storage to fully charge at least once every
45 days.
4. There is a power level indicator located at
the connector side of the battery pack which
indicates the amount of power left in the
battery pack by pressing on to the“Push”
button.
5. The battery pack can be charged at any time,
and does not need to be entirely discharged.
6. A battery pack lasts for approximately 300-
500 cycles of charging.
7. If charging is required, use original charger
(Part No. KC470B) when charging this battery
pack.
8. You do not need to remove battery pack from
machine to charge (Do Not operate machine
whilst charging battery pack).
9. Ensure the machine and charger are on a level
surface with adequate ventilation.
10. Ensure machine is in the OFF (o) position.
11. Plug in charger power cord to power supply
(ensure power supply is switched OFF when
plugging in).
12. Plug charger socket head into battery
pack.Ensure correct direction so as not to
damage socket pins.
13. Switch ON power supply at the wall.
14. See diagram below for location of the Light
Emitting Diode (LED) Indicator on the charger.
LED indication (light change):
RED LIGHT ON: Power On
ORANGE LIGHT (FLASHING): Pre-charging
ORANGE LIGHT ON: Charging
GREEN LIGHT (FLASHING): Almost Charged
GREEN LIGHT ON: Fully Charged (Disconnect)
*If a ashing red light appears please contact
an Authorised Pacvac Service Centre or
PLEASE NOTE:
The battery will be fully charged in 2 hours.
15. Switch o the power supply and unplug the
charger socket head from the battery pack.
16. The battery pack is ready to use.
17. The battery pack can become heated while in
use.

Troubleshooting
PROBLEM: CAUSE: SOLUTION:
Battery Pack
Battery fails to charge. Battery not properly connected
to battery charger.
Ensure battery and charger connectors are
rmly connected.
Battery is too hot (above 50°C). Disconnect battery from charger. Wait for
battery to cool down.
Battery is too cold (below 0°C). Disconnect battery from charger. Put
battery in a moderately warm room. Never
expose the battery pack to a heat source.
Circuit breaker or RCD of mains
power supply has tripped.
Check the machine is in good working
order. If OK, reset circuit breaker or RCD.
If circuit breaker or RCD trips again contact
your nearest Authorised Pacvac Service
Centre.
Battery pack has reduced run
time. Battery is too old. Replace battery.
Battery Charger
LED (POWER) light is OFF. Power supply is o. Switch on power supply.
The charger connectors are not
correctly connected.
Ensure charger connectors are rmly
connected.
Battery may be defective. Replace with another Pacvac Approved
Battery Pack from an Authorised retailer.
ORANGE light cannot turn
to GREEN.
Battery may be defective. Disconnect thebatteryand reconnect after
10 seconds.
ORANGE light turns to GREEN
immediately.
Battery may be defective. Check if the battery is fully charged.
Charger may be defective. Test another battery pack in charger. If
problem persists contact your nearest
Authorised Pacvac Service Centre.

We urge you to take good care of your product and be sure to follow instructions carefully. This will provide
you with the best possible performance and lifespan of the product.
The inclusion of the following paragraph is a requirement by Australian Law. It explains that consumers
have rights by law regardless of any warranties provided or not by a manufacturer or supplier.
“Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You
are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably
foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail
to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.”
In addition to guarantees under Australian Consumer Law, Pacvac warrants against faulty material and/or
workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase by the original consumer.
The following explains conditions and what to do in the event of a claim:
• Warranty does not cover the battery / charger being altered, abused, neglected, modied, used with
non-genuine Pacvac components or has not been used and maintained as indicated in the Product
and Training Manual.
• All reasonable expenses associated with returning goods for a warranty claim are the consumer’s
responsibility.
• Claims related to the battery or charger must be made within one year of the date of purchase and
proof of purchase must be supplied with the claim.
• To make a claim under warranty, take the product with proof of purchase to the place of purchase. In
the event the place of purchase does not satisfactorily rectify the matter, please contact Pacvac using
the contact details above.
