OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The battery pack is designed for supplying power to the Panasonic
computer series. The battery pack is not charged when it is first
purchased. Be sure to charge it before using it for the first time.
zBefore using the battery pack, read this Operating Instructions
and the relevant portions of the computer’s Operating Instruc-
tions and Reference Manual carefully.

designed, electrolyte leakage, generation of heat, ignition or
rupture may result.
zDo Not Charge the Battery Using Methods Other Than
Those Specified
If the battery is not charged using one of the specified meth-
ods*1, electrolyte leakage, generation of heat, ignition or rupture
may result.
*1 Refer to the manual of your product (or battery charger).
zDo Not Throw the Battery Pack Into a Fire or Expose It to
Excessive Heat
Generation of heat, ignition or rupture may result.
zAvoid Extreme Heat (Near the Fire, In Direct Sunlight, for
Example)
Electrolyte leakage, generation of heat, ignition or rupture may
result.
zDo Not Deform, Disassemble, or Modify the Battery Pack
Electrolyte leakage, generation of heat, ignition or rupture may
result.
zDo Not Apply Shocks to the Product by Dropping It, Apply-
ing Strong Pressure to It, etc.
Electrolyte leakage, generation of heat, ignition or rupture of
the battery may result.
• If a strong impact is applied to the battery pack whether or
not attached to the main unit, remove the battery pack from
the computer immediately.
zDo Not Short the Positive (+) and Negative (-) Contacts
Generation of heat, ignition or rupture may result.
• Do not place the battery pack together with articles such as
necklaces or hairpins when carrying or storing.
zWhen the battery pack has deteriorated or if abnormal
swelling occurs, replace it with a new one
Continued use of a damaged battery pack may result in heat
generation, ignition or battery rupture.
zIf a Malfunction or Trouble Occurs, Immediately Stop Use
Generation of heat, ignition or rupture may result.
• If the battery pack appears to be deformed or damaged, or if
it emits smoke, abnormal odor, excessive heat, or other ab-
normality, remove the battery pack from the computer imme-
diately.
zUsing this product continuously in a hot environment will
shorten the product life. Avoid use in these types of envi-
ronments.
zWhen using in low temperature environment, battery oper-
ation time may become short.
zDo not use battery pack if wet.
Generation of heat, ignition or rupture may result.
zDo not touch the terminals on the battery pack and the com-
puter. The battery pack may no longer function properly if the
contacts are dirty or damaged.
zDo not expose the battery pack to water, or allow it to become
wet.
zShould the battery leak and the fluid get into your eyes, do not
rub your eyes. Immediately flush your eyes with clear water and
see a doctor for medical treatment as soon as possible.
zStore the battery pack in a place with a temperature of between
10 °C to 30 °C {50 °F to 86 °F}.
zWhen the battery pack is left installed in a computer, it dis-
charges electricity gradually in small amounts even if the com-
puter’s power is off. If left for a long period (several months or
more), the battery pack will over discharge and its performance
may deteriorate.
If the battery pack will not be used for a long period of time (a
month or more), charge or discharge (use) the battery pack un-
til the remaining battery level becomes 30% to 40% and store it
in a cool, dry place.
zRead the computer’s Reference Manual or the Operating In-
structions before use. For how to start up the Reference Manu-
al, please refer to the computer’s Operating Instructions.
How to Replace and Charge the Battery Pack
The battery pack is not charged when it is first purchased. Be sure
to charge it before using for the first time.
Refer to the computer’s Reference Manual or the Operating In-
structions.

1. Turn off the computer.
2.Turn the computer over.
3.While sliding the left and right
latches (A) to the unlocked

Connect the AC Adaptor to the computer.
The battery charging starts automatically.
zCharging time and operating time vary according to the state of
the computer’s power supply and the temperature.
zThe battery pack may become warm during charging or normal
use. This is completely normal.

sedang terpasang ke unit utama atau tidak, keluarkan pack
baterai dari komputer segera.

Dapat terjadi pembangkitan panas, penyalaan atau pecah.
• Jangan meletakkan pack baterai bersama dengan benda-
benda seperti kalung atau jepit rambut ketika sedang
dibawa atau disimpan.
zSaat kondisi pack baterai telah mengalami penurunan
atau jika terjadi penggembungan yang tidak normal,
ganti dengan pack baterai yang baru.
Penggunaan pack baterai rusak secara terus menerus dapat
mengakibatkan pembangkitan panas, penyalaan atau baterai.
zJika Terjadi Kerusakan Fungsi atau Masalah, Segera
Hentikan Pemakaian Produk
Dapat terjadi pembangkitan panas, penyalaan atau pecah.
• Jika pack baterai tampak berubah bentuk atau rusak, atau
jika mengeluarkan asap, bau tidak normal, panas berlebih,
atau abnormalitas lainnya, segera keluarkan pack baterai
tersebut dari komputer.
zMenggunakan produk ini secara terus-menerus di ling-
kungan yang panas akan mempersingkat usia produk.
Hindari penggunaan di jenis lingkungan seperti ini.
zKetika digunakan di lingkungan bersuhu rendah, daya
operasi baterai mungkin akan menjadi singkat.
zJangan menggunakan pak baterai jika basah.
Dapat terjadi pembangkitan panas, penyalaan atau pecah.
zJangan menyentuh terminal pada pack baterai dan komput-
er. Pack baterai mungkin tidak akan lagi berfungsi dengan
benar jika titik kontak baterai kotor atau rusak.
zJangan sampai pak baterai terkena air atau basah.
zApabila baterai bocor dan cairannya masuk ke mata, jangan
mengusap mata. Segera basuh mata dengan air mengalir
dan hubungi dokter untuk mendapatkan perawatan sesegera
mungkin.
zSimpan pack baterai di tempat yang bersuhu antara 10 °C
hingga 30 °C.
zKetika pack baterai dibiarkan tetap terpasang di komputer,
maka arus listrik akan dilepaskan secara perlahan-lahan dari
pack baterai tersebut dalam jumlah kecil sekalipun komputer
dalam kondisi mati. Jika dibiarkan seperti itu dalam periode
waktu yang lama (beberapa bulan atau lebih), pack baterai
akan melepaskan daya berlebih dan performanya akan
menurun.
Apabila pak baterai akan tidak digunakan dalam waktu lama
(sebulan atau lebih), lakukan pengisian daya atau buang
dayanya (digunakan) hingga tingkat daya pak baterai men-
jadi sekitar 30% hingga 40% lalu simpan di tempat sejuk
yang kering.
zBaca Reference Manual atau Petunjuk Pengoperasian sebe-
lum penggunaan. Untuk cara memulai Reference Manual,
harap baca Petunjuk Pengoperasian komputer.
Cara Mengganti dan Mengisi Pack Baterai
Pack baterai tidak diisi pada saat pertama kali dibeli. Pastikan
untuk mengisinya sebelum menggunakan untuk pertama kalinya.
Silakan lihat Reference Manual atau Instruksi Operasional
komputer.
