•Do not use with the cord bundled.

►Notes
• This hair dryer is equipped with an automatic
overheating protective device. If the hair dryer
overheats, it will switch to Cold Air mode. Switch o󰀨
the hair dryer and unplug it from the household outlet.
Allow it to cool down for a few minutes before using it
again. Check that no u󰀨, hair etc. is in the air inlets
and outlets before switching it on again.
• You may notice a characteristic odor when using this
hair dryer. This is the characteristic odor of nanoe™
MOISTURE+, mineral ions, or ozone, and is not
harmful to the human body.

►Concentrator nozzle
For precise styling and blow drying, attach the
concentrator nozzle to the hair dryer.
Concentrator nozzle helps to focus and direct the
airow straight to hair for giving more control.
• Attaching the concentrator nozzle may reduce the
performances under the Hot/Cold Alternating mode or
the Hair Tip Care mode.

►Intelligent sensing
Two sensors monitor environment conditions and your
way of using the dryer, and automatically control the
temperature to prevent extreme heat.
(The air and room temperature are constantly monitored.)
Mode explanation
Air temperature varies in each mode. Select your
desired temperature mode.
Hot Air mode [HOT]
Air temperature is automatically controlled based on the
actual room temperature. You can comfortably dry your
hair even in the summer heat with automatically
reduced air heat.
Hot/Cold Alternating mode [ ] < Airow is [Fast] or
[Medium] >
Automatically alternate between hot and cold air. The
hot air lengthens unruly hair, while the cold air keeps
your hair style in place. Smoothened hair surface
reects light, and give you a sleek, shiny nish.
Hair Tip Care mode [ ] < Airow is [Gentle] >
Automatically alternate between hot and cold air with
the most e󰀨ective cycle and airow for the hair ends
nishing based on the ambient temperature constantly
detected by the sensors. The gentle airow does not
tend to separate hair ends, so you can easily blow and
style your hair ends.
Cold Air mode [COLD]
Finishing with cold air helps keep your hair style in
place longer.
Scalp Care mode [SCALP]
Water remaining on your skin (scalp) may lead to
uncomfortable feeling such as stickiness. Dry your hair
comfortably with the airow of the temperature around
60 °C, which is kind to your skin (scalp).
Skin Care mode [SKIN]
The airow enriched with nanoe™ MOISTURE+ and
minerals helps prevent dehydration and leaves your
skin moisturized after cleansing.
• About 1 minute of face blowing will help keep your
skin moisturized.
• When selecting [SKIN] at the [Fast] or [Medium]
setting, the airow will change to [Gentle].
To return to previous airow, press the airow
switching button.
•When pressing the airow switching button during the
Skin Care mode, the airow lamp will blink twice,
while the airow won’t change.

About nanoe™
MOISTURE+ and mineral
nanoe™ MOISTURE+ and mineral
e󰀨ect
Controls waviness by balancing hair moisture content,
making hair glossy and silky smooth to the touch.
Makes hair strong against damage from brushing etc.,
and leads to beautiful hair.
nanoe™ MOISTURE+ and
mineral outlet.
What is nanoe™ MOISTURE+,
mineral?
nanoe™ MOISTURE+
nanoe™ MOISTURE+ are “nanoe™” ion particles
wrapped in water with increased moisture which makes
them highly penetrative into hair.
nanoe™ MOISTURE+ are generated by collecting the
available moisture in the air, so depending on the
usage environment, nanoe™ MOISTURE+ may not be
generated. In environments of low temperature and low
humidity, moisture in the air becomes di󰀩cult to collect.
When this occurs, negative ions are generated.
Mineral
“Mineral” means mineral ions generated by the
discharge unit containing the zinc electrode.
“nanoe™ MOISTURE+” and “Mineral” are invisible to
the human eye.
Ion charge plus
Hair is negatively charged
when nanoe™ MOISTURE+
and mineral ions are
continuously applied.
Negatively charged hair
repulses nanoe™
MOISTURE+ and mineral
ions, making it hard for
nanoe™ MOISTURE+ and
mineral ions to be applied to
the hair.
When this occurs, simply by holding the ion charge plus
panel together with the handle, the negative charge
accumulated on hair is released.

By doing this, nanoe™ MOISTURE+ and mineral ions
can continue to penetrate the hair, supplying moisture
and moisturizing the hair thoroughly right up to the tip.
How to use the hair dryer
Preparation

Use a towel to partially dry your hair�

towards the roots.

When the hair is about 90 % dry, use
the Hot/Cold Alternating mode to
nish it well, making the hair shiny.

2. Apply the Hot/Cold
Alternating mode while
running your ngers
through your hair from the
top of your head to the tip
of your hair. (One side)

2 on the opposite side.
If you are concerned about damaged ends, use Hair

with your nger comb,
blow‑dry the inside and
outside of your hair to
the ends.

To decrease hair volume
Run your hand through your hair in the
same direction as the hair ow, and
apply hot air from the top to bottom.
To dene the curls and waves with a di󰀨user
1. Gently place the tip of your hair on the di󰀨user.
2. Lift your curls up and down from your scalp whilst
they are drying.
3. Repeat all sections.
4. Finally, adjust the overall nished look with your hands.
To increase hair volume with a di󰀨user
Attain volume by moving the
di󰀨user in a circular motion over
the scalp. Keep the di󰀨user held
on specic areas of your head for
a few seconds to attain volume as
you wish. Repeat until your
desired look is achieved.
To adjust hair ow with a di󰀨user
Comb the hair with a di󰀨user to dry
the hair from the roots to the tips while
pulling the ends of the hair.
To set your hair
1. Dampen the area of your hair you want to set with
water etc.
2. Select [Gentle] with the airow switching mode.
3. Select [HOT] with the mode switching button and
apply hot air.

To make your hair setting last longer
Apply cold air to the area of your hair you want to set
after applying hot air.
►Notes
• Be careful not to bump the air inlet such as on the
corner of a desk.
• Do not look into the air outlet while in use.
• Wave perms may temporarily become easy to stretch
when you apply nanoe™ MOISTURE+ and mineral
ion to your hair, but return to their original state when
you apply water or styling agents.
• Styling and treatment agents etc. can be used.
However, if you use sticky substances such as oil, gel
or wax, the intended e󰀨ect of nanoe™ MOISTURE+
and mineral ion may become di󰀩cult to achieve.
• Since nanoe™ MOISTURE+ and mineral ions are
generated, you might encounter the following.
‑ Water droplets may be blown out of the nanoe™
MOISTURE+ and mineral outlet during use.
‑ You may hear a noise from the nanoe™
MOISTURE+ and mineral outlet.
‑ You may notice a characteristic smell during use.
• Results of nanoe™ MOISTURE+, mineral ions and
each mode on hair vary according to the individual,
and the following people may nd it hard to
experience an e󰀨ect.

Maintenance of the hair dryer
Always turn the power switch o󰀨 and disconnect
the plug from the household outlet� (Except when
performing maintenance on the air outlet)
Maintaining the air outlet
Do this about once a month or more
1. Plug into the household
outlet.
2. Turn the switch on and
select [Gentle], [Medium]
or [Fast] with the airow
switching button.
3. Select [COLD] with the
mode switching button.
4. While scraping dust and
hair jammed in the mesh
with a cotton swab, blow
them away with air.
►Notes
• When performing maintenance, do not block the air
inlet with your hand.
•Dust may y out when you use the appliance for the
rst time after maintenance.
Use the appliance after conrming that dust no longer
ies out.
(Do not look into the air outlet.)
Maintaining the air inlet
Do this about once a month or more
Wipe to clean lint, hair, or other
matter from the air inlet with a
tissue or toothbrush.
(If dust is attached to the inside,
remove it with a vacuum cleaner.)
►Note
• Do not press or rub with your nails or sharp items.
Doing so may cause the air inlet to break.

Maintaining the nanoe™
MOISTURE+ and mineral outlet
At least once a month
In order to maintain the generation amount of nanoe™
MOISTURE+ and mineral outlet.
1. Prepare a commercially available new cotton swab
(intended for babies) and moisten the tip of the
cotton swab with water.
2. Pinch the tip of the cotton
swab with clean hands and
make the tip thin as shown
in the gure to the right.
3. Gently insert the swab in
the nanoe™ MOISTURE+
and mineral outlet until it
stops (about 1 cm).
4. Turn the cotton swab 2‑3
times carefully.
When turned, you may sense
the swab getting caught, but
this is not an issue.

Do not put a cotton
swab in any portion
other than the part
indicated by .
Maintaining the main body
Do this when dirty
To clean the hair dryer (when it is
dirty), soak a cloth in the soapy
water and squeeze it out rmly, then
wipe with the cloth.
►Notes
• Do not use substances such as
alcohol, nail polish remover or
detergent (hand soap).
Doing so may result in malfunction
or part cracks or discoloration.
• Do not leave the appliance with
hairdressing products or
cosmetics on it.
Doing so may cause deterioration
of the plastic, leading to
discoloration and cracks.

Troubleshooting
Problem Possible cause Action
The airow cannot be adjusted despite
pressing the airow switching button, while
the airow lamp will turn on after blinking
two times.
Check that the Skin Care
mode is selected.
On the Skin Care mode, the

Sparks can be seen inside the product.

These sparks are caused by protective device
(thermostat switch). They are not dangerous.
Lint has accumulated on the

Hot air repeatedly turns into cold air.
Do not block the air inlet.
The hot air is abnormally hot.
The plug is abnormally hot.
The plug does not t snugly in
the outlet being used.

Insert the plug rmly into the
outlet.
Sparks are generated inside the nanoe™
MOISTURE+ and mineral outlet. The needle‑shaped part
located at the back of the
nanoe™ MOISTURE+ and
mineral outlet is dirty.
Perform maintenance on the
nanoe™ MOISTURE+ and
mineral outlet. (See page 18.)
A noise (crackling) is heard inside the
nanoe™ MOISTURE+ and mineral outlet.
The temperature of the air is not hot. The intelligent sensing function automatically controls the
