WARNING
Plug and cord
Do not use the unit when the
cord is tied.

WARNING
Do not use or store the unit when the cord is
twisted. Do not apply load to the cord.
- Doing so may cause breakage to the wire of
the cord, or result in electric shock, or re due

Always unplug the unit by holding the plug
instead of the cord.
- Failure to do so may cause breakage to the
wire of the cord, or result in burning, electric

Regularly clean the plug to prevent dust from
accumulating.
- Failure to do so may cause re due to insulation
failure caused by humidity. Disconnect the plug
and wipe it with a dry cloth.
After use, be sure to set the power switch to
“O”, and unplug the unit from the household
outlet.
- Failure to do so may cause burning or re.
Fully insert the plug.
Make sure to use only
220 V ～ voltage.
Independently use a household outlet, and do
not use an extension cord.
- Failure to do so may cause electric shock or
re.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualied persons in order
to avoid a hazard.
- Failure to do so may cause an accident or
injury.
In case of an abnormality or malfunction
Immediately stop using the unit and remove
the plug if there is an abnormality or failure.
- Using the unit in such conditions may cause
electric shock, injury or re.
<Abnormality or failure cases>
• Air is not emitted.
• The appliance stops sporadically.
• The interior gets red, and smoke comes out.
- Immediately contact a service center
authorized by Panasonic.
Maintenance
When the unit outputs hot air, if
sparks are seen at the air outlet,
immediately stop using it, and
then clear away dust adhered to
the air outlet and air inlet.
- Failure to do so may cause
burning or re.

other parts of your body.

For additional protection, it is suggested to
install a residual current device (RCD) with
a rated residual operating current of 30 mA
or lower in the power supply system of the
bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.

When the unit is used in a bathroom, unplug
it after use since the proximity of water
presents a hazard even when the unit is
switched off.
- Failure to do so may cause suffocation of
infants or other accidents.
This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance

During use, the air outlet and the nozzle may
get hot. Do not touch them with your hand.
- Doing so may cause burning.
When unfolding or folding the handle, do
not touch the shaded area as shown in the
following gures.

When folding it, do not have your ngers
pinched.
- Doing so may cause nger injury.
Close your eyes when the unit blows air in
your face in the skin care mode.
- Failure to do so may cause eye discomfort.
Do not look into the air outlet during
operation.
- The air may carry dust or other foreign objects,
which may cause injury.
Notes
This unit is equipped with an automatic over-heating
protective device. If the unit overheats, it will switch
to the cool air mode. In such a case, switch off the
unit and unplug it from the household outlet. Leave it
to cool down for a few minutes before using it again.
Check that no uff, hair etc. Is in the air inlets and
outlets before switching it on again.

Installing or removing the nozzle
To install
Align the nozzle with the air outlet of the hair dryer to
install it. When the nozzle has been xed, a click will
be heard.
To remove
Pull up and remove the nozzle from the air outlet of the
hair dryer.

About nanoe™ and double mineral*
* “Double mineral” means mineral ions generated by
two zinc electrodes .
nanoe™ and double mineral effect
Controls waviness by balancing
hair moisture content, making
hair glossy and easy to style.
In addition to making hair strong
against damage from brushing
etc., limits the inuence of UV
on hair,leading to beautiful hair.
Mineral anion outlet
What is nanoe™, mineral ion?
(nanoeTM, mineral ion generation method: high voltage
discharge)
nanoe™
nanoe™ is water-wrapped particulate ion, generated by
applying high voltage to split water.
Their diameter is smaller than approx. 1/100 of steam
and they cannot be seen by the eye.
nanoe™ may not be generated depending on the usage
environment because nanoe™ is generated by collecting
moisture in the air. In low temperatures and low humidity
it becomes difcult to collect moisture from the air. In this
case, ions are generated.
Mineral ion
Ions generated by a zinc electrode that cannot be seen
by the eye.
Scalp care mode
[SCALP] Green
Blows gentle hot air for scalp care.
When the power switch is set to [ ⅢTurbo] or [ ⅡDry]
Intelligent temperature control mode
[Intelligent] Yellow
The unit detects the ambient temperature and
blows air at a comfortable temperature for drying.
In the intelligent temperature control mode, press the
mode switching button once again to switch to the hot
air mode.
In all modes, the nanoe™ lamp glows, and air including
nanoe™ and mineral ion blows.

ion charge plus
Hair is negatively charged when
nanoe™ or mineral ions are
continuously applied. Negatively
charged hair repulses nanoe™
and mineral ions, making it hard
for nanoe™ and mineral ions to
be applied to the hair. When this
occurs, simply by holding the ion
charge plus panel together with
the handle, the negative charge
accumulated on hair is released.
By doing this, nanoe™ and mineral
anions can continue to penetrate the hair,
supplying moisture and moisturizing
the hair thoroughly right up to the tip.

How to use
Preparations
1 Use a towel to partially dry your hair.
2 Detangle your hair with a comb or your ngers.
3 Insert the plug into a household outlet.
If you want to concentrate the
airow for easier hair styling,
adjust the set nozzle as shown in
the illustration.
If you want to concentrate the
airow for easier hair styling,

Drying hair
1.
Select the airow strength.
Set the power switch to
[ⅢTurbo] or [ ⅡDry].
2. Direct warm air throughout
your hair.
Points
Your hair will dry quickly if you
direct the warm air towards the
roots.
3. After blowing your hair dry by
about 90 % , switch to the
hot/cold alternating mode to
leave your hair shiny.
Select with the mode switching
button.
I n order to thoroughly apply hot
and cold air, part your hair to the
left and right to dry it.
1Run your hand through your hair
from the inside while blowing
it with the hot/cold alternating
mode. (One side)
2Run your hand through your hair
from the top while blowing it with
the hot/cold alternating mode.
(One side)
3Repeat steps 1and 2on the
other side.
4. Set the power switch to [ O ].
5. Remove the plug from the household outlet.
After drying, tidy your hair with a comb or your ngers.
Keep the unit at a dry place after it has completely
cooled down.

Caution
Keep a distance of over 3 cm
between the air outlet and your hair.
Keep a distance of over 10 cm
between the air inlet and your hair.
Be careful not to hit the air inlet such
as on the corner of a desk.
Note
Styling and treatment agents etc. can be used.
However, if you use sticky substances such as oil, gel
or wax, the intended effect of nanoe™ and mineral ions
may become difcult to achieve.
When nanoe™ ions are generated, the following
cases may occur:
Water droplets may be blown out of the nanoe™ outlet
during use.
You may hear a noise from the nanoe™ outlet.
You may notice a characteristic smell during use.
Skin care mode
Since the skin is likely to become dry after bathing, the
moisture content of skin can be improved by blowing
hair with air containing nanoe™ and mineral ions,
leaving your skin moist.
Do the following after drying your hair by Step 3-3
of "How to use":
1Set the power switch to
[ⅠSet].
2Select [COLD] with the mode
switching button.
3Hold the unit with the air
outlet about 20 cm away
from your chin, and blow
your hair for about 1 minute
while swinging the main
body.
During use, keep your eyes
closed.
You can apply lotion,
emulsion or other skin care
products for routine care as
usual.

Scalp care mode
Moisture remaining on the surface of the scalp leads to
stickiness or other discomfort.
This mode can gently blow dry your scalp with warm air
of approx 50 °C.
Do the following after drying your hair about 70 %
by Step 3-2 of "How to use":
1Select [SCALP] with the
mode switching button.
2Lift up your hair with your
hand and dry your scalp.
You may feel cold
depending on the ambient
temperature.
In this case, switch to the
[HOT] mode, and move the
unit further away from.
3Select [HOT] with the mode
switching button and dry
your hair thoroughly.
Intelligent temperature control mode
(to reduce hot sensation of the hot air)
At times when it is unpleasantly hot and humid, such
as after bathing in summer, the hot air temperature
is controlled automatically depending on the room
temperature to achieve comfortable drying.

Do the following if you want to reduce the burning
sensation of hot air in Step 3-2 of "How to use" :
1Press and hold the mode
switching button for 1 second
or more when using the hot
air mode of [ ⅢTurbo] or
[ⅡDry]. ([HOT] will begin
blinking.)
2Dry your hair thoroughly.
Press and hold the mode
switching button again for
1 second or more to return
to normal hot air.
Set the power switch to
[ O ]. The unit will start with
the hot air mode on next
startup.

How to use the diffuser
Making a fluffy hairstyle
To puff up the hair near your ears
First, install the diffuser to the main body, then hold
the unit, insert the comb teeth into the hair beside your
ears with the upper and lower teeth clinging to your
scalp, and slowly move the unit to the top of your head.
Repeat this action for at least 5 times.
To puff up the top of your hair
Hold the hair on the top of your head with one hand,
insert diffuser into the right side of your head top with
the upper and lower teeth clinging to your scalp, and
slowly move the unit to another side of your head top
(around 10 cm beyond the center line of the head top).
As shown in the gure below, puff up the hair on top
of your head in the order of right→left, left→right, and
front→back. Operate in the same way in the order of
left→right and front→back.

Notes
All the comb teeth must cling to the scalp.

Making a drooping and smooth hairstyle
If you want to comb and tidy your
hair, hold your hair tip with your
hand, and then use the comb on the
multi-purpose uffy & styling nozzle
to comb the hair from root to tip.
Maintaining the curly hairstyle
Support your curly hair with the
diffuser before using the unit.
To use the diffuser, please select
the intelligent temperature control
mode or the cold air mode. If you
select the hot air mode or the
intelligent hot/cold alternating
mode, you may have burning
sensation on your face or scalp.
Note
Wave perms may temporarily become easy to stretch
when you apply nanoe™ and mineral ions to your hair,
but they will return to their original state when you apply
water or styling agents.
Maintenance
Always turn the power switch off and disconnect the plug
from the household outlet. (except when cleaning the air
outlet).
At least once a month
If dust accumulates and blocks the unit, the performance
may be degraded and the following problems may be
caused:
Sparks may be seen from the interior when hot air
is used. These sparks are caused by the action of
thermo switch as a protective device, and this is not
dangerous.
Hot air sometimes switches to cold air.
Hot air becomes abnormally hot.
Cleaning the air inlet
Wipe to clean dust or hair
from the air inlet with a
tissue or toothbrush.
Vacuum cleaner
If dust accumulates
inside the air inlet,
remove it with a
vacuum cleaner.
Note
Do not press or rub with your nails or sharp items.
Doing so may cause damage to the air inlet.

Cleaning the air outlet
1. Insert the plug into a household outlet.
2. Set the power switch to [ ⅠSet],
[ⅡDry] or [ ⅢTurbo].
3. Select [COLD] with the mode
switching button.
4. While scraping dust and hair jammed in the
mesh with a cotton swab, blow them away
with a hair dryer.
Note
During maintenance, do not block the air inlet with your
hand.
Dust will disperse during or after cleaning. Make sure
there is no dust before using the unit.
(Do not look into the air outlet.)
At least once a month

Mineral Ion outlet
In order to maintain the generation amount of nanoe™
and mineral ions.
1. Prepare a commercially
available new cotton swab.
2. Gently insert the cotton
swab in the outlet until it
stops (about 10 mm), and
then turn the cotton swab
2-3 times carefully.

Notice
It is recommended to use thin cotton swabs dedicated
for infants.
Clean the dirt if any in the following way
Cleaning the main body
Soak a cloth in the soapy water and
squeeze it out rmly, and then wipe the
main body with the cloth.
Notes
Do not use substances such as
alcohol, nail polish remover or
detergent (hand soap). Doing so may
result in malfunction or part cracks or
discoloration.
Do not store the unit with hairdressing
products or cosmetics on it. Doing
so may cause deterioration of the
plastic, leading to discoloration and
cracks.

Troubleshooting
Problem Possible cause Action
Dust is attached to the air
inlet or air outlet.
Hair or something is blocking
the air inlet.
Remove the attached dust.

Hot air repeatedly turns into cold air.
Do not block the air inlet.
The hot air is abnormally hot.
The power plug is abnormally hot. Use an outlet in which the
power plug fits snugly.
Sparks are generated inside the
nanoe™ outlet.
The needle-shaped part
located at the back of the
nanoe™ outlet is dirty.
Perform maintenance on the
nanoe™ outlet.
(See page 18.)
A noise (crackling) is heard inside
the nanoe™ outlet.
There is a peculiar smell. This is because nanoe™ and mineral ion produce a peculiar
smell; there is no influence to your body.
Device abnormality. Please consult an authorized
service center for repair.
If the problems still cannot be solved, contact the store where you purchased the unit or a service center
authorised by Panasonic for repair.
Sparks can be seen inside the
appliance when using [HOT]. (These
sparks are caused by the thermostat
switch, the protective device, and this
is not dangerous.)
The [HOT] lamp is blinking
quickly (twice persecond).
Water droplets fly out from
the nanoeTM outlet.
The power plug is not firmly
inserted into the outlet.
Water droplets occasionally fly out from when generating
nanoeTM; this is not an abnormality.
