Maintenance
Because
the head and capstanassembliesare in contaclwith the tape, dirt and residue
trom the tape can easilyadhereto these parts,
causingdistortion.
Thesepartsshould be
cleaned
periodically
in the mannerdescribedbelow.
.Clean the head surface, pinch roller and capstan with a cotton swab.
lf these surfacesare extremely dirty,dampenthe cottonswab with alcohol.
NOTES:
.Do not
bring
magneticormetal objects,suchas
ascrewdriver,nearthehead
assemblies,and
such objectscould magnetizethe heads.
