2.6. Antenna Connections
Both the GPS and GSM share exactly the same connectors, but are labelled to
assist with connection to the rear of the DVR.
Placement
The GSM antenna should ideally be stuck to the windscreen as high up as
possible and on the passenger side. The GPS antenna should ideally be placed
in the centre of the vehicle hidden under the dashboard with the black face of
the antenna facing upwards. It needs a clear view of the sky and not blocked by
any dense material and in particular metal.

two-way fly lead. This fly lead is then connected to the CH2-1 socket on the rear
of the DVR
The correct orientation of the front camera is shown below, with the camera
affixed to the windscreen the mounting plate must be to the left-hand side of the
camera.
Rear Camera – If a Rear Camera is to be installed, the correct orientation of the
Rear camera is shown below, with the camera affixed to the vehicle, the IR

2.8. Monitor Connection
If a Monitor is to be installed, there are two options HDMI or AV. If HDMI is used
then a separate 12v power supply must be used to power the Monitor. If AV
monitor is used then power is supplied via the CVBS port on the
PSODDVR4C-LIVE.
2.9. Unit Placement within the Vehicle

Installation notes
Where possible the PSODDVR4C-LIVE should be placed horizontally
with the rear of the PSODDVR4C-LIVE and cables facing the inside of
the vehicle to ensure that the X axis is consistent with the driving
direction and the Y axis is perpendicular to the driving direction.
For the connection of camera and PSODDVR4C-LIVE, the joint of the
extension cable needs to be wrapped with waterproof tape to prevent
water stains from entering the cable core.
2.10.Default View on the Monitor
If a monitor has been installed the PSODDVR4C-LIVE has the ability to show a
default camera view, which is displayed on the monitor during normal operation
when no trigger has been activated. The default view is for 4 Channels to
be viewed. If an alternative view is required then this can be requested via
the Parksafe Technical Support team.
2.11.Triggers
The PSODDVR4C-LIVE allows for the use of inputs to trigger actions, such
as changing the view, generating a video etc. The default setup for the
Triggers is as follows :
