1Overview and Environment

Overview
HVMV is a professional video surveillance system designed for 30 series NVR on managing
security surveillance devices conveniently and efficiently. It supports live view, playback, tour
& task, E-Map, Event trigger management, smart search and other services. The main
features of HVMV are listed as below:
•View real-time video of multiple camera channels.
•Auto Streaming Size for Clients, saving decode and streaming bandwidth.
•Supports various view settings: time, bandwidth, codec, etc.
•Customized layouts can also be displayed on standalone player.
•View the playback video files from various cameras and synchronized playback.
•Multiple monitors configurable to display live view, tour, E-map or event views.
•Manually export event clips.
•Smart search.
•Support multiple scheduled events to realize auto surveillance.
•Support E-Map: clearly view and manage all devices at different locations.
•Multiple Fisheye Dewarping modes.
•Customizable layouts for unique camera types, e.g., corridor or panoramic.
•Log / Alarm Search & Export.

2Install HVMV
1. Download the latest version of HVMV installation program from
https://mywebtech.honeywell.com.
2. Double click the installation program and the following window is displayed.

3. Click I agree and the following window is displayed:

4. Enter the user name, password and confirm password. Click Next.

5. Leave the port as default and modify the default database path if necessary. Click Next.

6. Select the installation path and click Install.

7. Wait for the installation to progress.

Login Interface
Double click the HVMV icon on the desktop, and the login interface is displayed:

For the first time logging in, use the admin account and enter the password you set in Install
HVMV on page 3.
You can create other accounts as described in User on page 8and log in with other accounts.

Click Login to go to the main interface:

Click to add a function tab on the top pane.

Settings: Click to access the Devices Management, Event

Full screen: Click to enter the full screen mode. Press Esc
on the keyboard to exit the mode.

About: Click to view the version and copyright information.
Log out: Click to log out the current user.
4 It includes Liveview, Playback, Event and Log. Click an
icon to open the function in a new tab.
5 It includes Event search, Smart search and E-Map view.
Click an icon to open the function in a new tab.

7 It includes SMTP and Preferences. Click an icon to open

User
You can add, modify and delete users and set user’s authorities.
Click on the Settings pane in Figure 3-2 to go to the following interface:

Enter the user name, password, confirm password and select a role from Administrator and
Customize.

Type Description
Administrator An administrator has all permissions and is allowed to access all
devices.
Customize
A customized user has customized permissions and is allowed to
access customized devices. To create users with the permissions
for different operational capabilities, select Customize in the
Role menu, and then select the options in the Permissions
and/or the Accessible devices menus.

In the Permissions tab, click to unfold the Configuration and Operation menus. Select or
deselect the checkboxes to configure the user privileges. For example, you may not want a
user to operate Event and E-Map, deselect these checkboxes.

In the Accessible devices tab, click to select the cameras that a user can access. Some users
may only need to access specific devices.

After the settings are done, click Add to create a new user.
The new users will be listed under the admin’s icon . Repeat the process to create more
users.

If you want to change the password, click Change password.
Devices
You can add a single device or a batch of devices automatically or manually.

Adding a Device
You can add new devices via:
•P2P
•IP/Domain
•Auto search
Click on the Settings pane in Figure 3-2 to go to the following interface:

Adding New Device via P2P
1. Click as shown in Figure 3-10 and the following interface is displayed:

2. Enter the serial number and the admin user’s password of NVR. Click Add and the devices
will be added in the devices list in the left pane, see Figure 3-16.
Adding Devices via IP/Domain
1. Click as shown in Figure 3-10 and the following interface is displayed:

2. Enter the IP/Domain name and the password of NVR. Click Add and the devices will be
added in the devices list in the left pane, see Figure 3-16.
Adding Devices via Auto Search
1. Click as shown in Figure 3-10 , the system will search the devices in the same
network segment. After the search is completed, the following interface is displayed:

Note
You need to authorize the devices first. Before the
authorization, the devices will be locked and shown as .
2. Select the target device from the device list.

3. Enter the admin user’s password of the device and click Authorize.

4. The device will be unlocked and the status of the device will change to . Click Apply
and the device will be added to the devices list in the left pane.

If your devices cannot be added via auto search, perform the following steps:
1. Go to Control PanelAll Control Panel ItemsWindows Defender Firewall.
2. Click Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall.

3. Click Allow another app.

4. Click Browse, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Honeywell\HVMV\Server and add
Configuration Server in the Apps list.
