1.3. Safety pin
The barrier uses a safety pin to connect the actuator to the barrier arm. The pin allows manual
operation, by removing the pin and lowering the barrier, and acts as a safety device to protect
the barrier from excessive force. The pin is designed to break into three pieces in case of
excessive force to the arm and may be replaced by a new one.

2. Parking Barrier features
This section will provide a description of the parking barrier features.
2.1. Vehicle detection
The Parklio Smart Parking Barrier is equipped with a small size, high efficiency, solar panel. The
solar panel enables extended autonomy of the barrier by gradually charging the barrier's
battery when there is enough sunlight.
2.2. Vehicle detection
The Parklio Smart Parking Barrier is equipped with software and a set of sensors designed to
detect vehicle presence over the barrier.
The barrier will not allow the user to open it while there is a vehicle on top.
2.3. Auto-close
The auto-close feature enables automatic barrier closing when the vehicle parked over the
barrier departs.
The barrier detects the vehicle presence with a set of sensors. The auto-close feature is
activated after the vehicle stays parked over the open barrier for more than 45 seconds. After
