the electrical outlet, and disconnect point C
from point B.
47 • Insert point B into point A, pressing until it
clicks into place. Always remember to close and
fasten the cover on the battery compartment
when you have finished working on the
battery.
48• Reposition the hood by inserting the front
hook into the opening on the bottom of the
tractor (see detail).
49 • Slightly widen the hood, and lower it to its
original position.
50 • Replace the two plastic disks and fasten
everything down with the screws.

51 • GEAR SHIFT LEVER.The vehicle has 3 speeds.
ATTENTION: when the vehicle is taken out of
the box, it runs only in first gear and reverse
gear.To use the second speed, follow the
instructions in figure 52.
52 • Loosen the lock screw for the second speed
(fig. A).Turn the lock screw to the next notch
(fig. B), and tighten it. All of the gears are now
ready for use.
53 • ACCELERATOR PEDAL/ELECTRIC BRAKE.When
the foot is lifted from the accelerator pedal, the
electric brake automatically stops the tractor.
54 • To tip the shovel, lower the command lever.
55 • To lower the entire bucket block, push the
handle forwards.
REMOVING THE BATTERY
56 • Unscrew the two safety screws from the hood.
Remove the hood. Disconnect the battery from
the electrical sistem by squeezing the sides of
the plugs.
57 • Loosen the 2 screws on the battery brace, has
shown in the figure.
58 • Remove the battery.
59 • Remove the battery clamp from the dead
battery and put it on the new battery.
INSTALLING BATTERY
60 • If you have bought or own a Peg Perego
12V/12Ah battery, you will have to remove the
plastic filler (A) by slipping it off the battery
clamp.
61 • Reposition the new battery with the battery
clamp in its housing. Fasten the clamp with the
two screws.
62 • Connect the battery plugs to the electrical
system. Reposition the hood. Attention: always
screw the two safety screws back onto the sides
of the hood.
Before riding, charge your battery for
18 hours to initiate them. Failure to
do this will result in permanent
battery damage.
CAUTION:
Only adults should recharge batteries,
never children.
Never allow children to handle
batteries.
Only use the batteries specified by
the manufacturer.
Only use the charger specified by
the manufacturer.
Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard
(carbon-zinc), or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium) batteries.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
• Charge the batteries no longer
than 24 hours, following the
instructions enclosed with the
battery charger.
• Charge the battery, as the vehicle
shows low power, in this way you
will avoid damage to the battery.

ASSEMBLY
1 • Attach the plastic drop to the hood,as shown
in the figure.
2 • Apply the stickers to the special areas on the
front headlights.
3 • Position the headlight glass by attaching the
outer side.
4 • Press as shown in the figure to snap the glass
into place.
5 • Repeat this step for the other front headlight.
6 • Position one of the two parts of the weight on
the front of the tractor.
7 • Join the other part of the weight by pressing
the two parts together.
8 • Press the side inserts into place on the body.
9 • Press the trim piece into place under the

steering wheel.
10 • Push the steering column through the bottom
of the tractor to the upper part of the body.
11 • Hold the column in place and slip the steering
wheel onto it.
12 • Fasten the steering wheel with its screw and
nut, being careful to insert the screw into the
circular hole and to screw the nut onto the
hexagonal part.
13 • Apply the stickers to the special areas on the
rear headlights as shown in the figure.
14 • Attach the headlights by pressing from the
bottom upwards.
15 • Unscrew the knobs on the bottom of the seat.
16 • Line the seat up with the two holes on the seat
support.
17 • The seat can be adjusted to 2 positions to suit
the height of the child (see figure).
18 • After adjusting the seat, tighten the 2 knobs
that hold it in place.
19 • Position the seat support on the body of the
tractor.
20 • Reposition the seat support on the body of the
tractor and tighten the 2 screws.
21 • Position the roll bar (see figure).
22 • Push the roll bar all the way in.
23 • Tighten the 2 lock screws.
24 • Press the gas tank cap into place on the back of
the tractor.
25 • Insert the plugs in the handlebar.
26 • Insert and fit the handlebar with the screws
provided.
27 • Place the bucket block on the shovel,arranging
the pieces as shown in diagram A. Fasten the
pieces together with screws and nuts,working
with the supplied wrench and a screwdriver
from the side shown in the figure.
28 • Partially insert the second screw on the
opposite side, to make it easier to carry out the
next operation.
29 • Insert the spring into the hole in the bucket
block. Turn the spring while pressing
downward (see side diagram).
30 • Push the screw into the spring. Place a washer
and a nut on the screw, following the order
shown in the diagram.
31 • Tighten the screw, using the supplied wrench
and a screwdriver.
32 • Slip the bucket drawstring through the special
hole on the shovel.
33 • Place a stud in the special tool that comes with
the toy, as shown in the diagram.
34 • Apply decal No.12R and No.12L.Fasten the
bucket drawstring by pressing the stud all the
way in.
35 • Using the two wrenches, fasten one of the two
lock nuts on the bucket drawstring,as shown in
the figure.
36 • Slip out the bucket drawstring with the washer
(A), taking care not to lose it.
37 • Loosen the two safety screws from the sides of
the hood, and remove the two plastic disks
(save the disks for putting the hood back on).
38 • Press the two buttons and at the same time
widen the hood to detach it, as shown in the
figure.
39 • Lift the hood off.
40 • Position the hood and hook it to the bucket
block.
41 • NO: The hood is not fastened.
OK: The hood is correctly fastened.
42 • Move the hood to line up the two openings on
its sides with the openings on the bucket block.
43 • Replace the drawstring (with the washer) you
removed before, passing it out the opposite
part of the hood.
44 • Fasten the drawstring with the second washer
and the nut removed before.
45 • Tighten the nut using the two wrenches
supplied with the toy, as shown in the figure.

WITHOUT REMOVING IT FROM THE
VEHICLE.
46 • Insert the battery charger plug into an
electrical outlet, following the instructions that
come with the charger. Connect point B to
point C on the battery charger.
When the battery has been completely
recharged, disconnect the battery charger from

• Surfaces that are appropriate for
safe use: grass, gravel, hard surfaces,
inclines up to 10%.
• Not suitable for children under the
age of 36 months.The small pieces
could be swallowed or inhaled.
• The loader is not designed to
support a child’s weight. Do not
place loads over 6.6 lbs. on the
loader.
• Never use the vehicle on steep
slopes or near steps or stairs.This
vehicle is not suitable for use on
public highways.
• Do not allow children to place
their hands, feet or any part of
their body, clothing or other
articles near the moving parts
while vehicle is in operation.
• Do not allow the electrical
components, motors, wiring,
switches of your motorized vehicle
to become wet and never wash it
with a hose.
• Never use gasoline or other
flammable substances near the
vehicle.
DON'T STOP THE FUN: always have
freshly charged, back-up batteries
on hand.

2nd SPEED
Initially we suggest using only the
1st speed and the reverse gear.
Before moving into 2nd speed be
sure that the child has become
familiar with operating the vehicle.
• 1ST SPEED slow speed (beginner
drivers):
With both hands on the
steeringwheel, press down on the
accelerator pedal; the vehicle goes
forward at 2.25 mph.
• 2ND SPEED fast speed
(experienced drivers):
With both hands on the
steeringwheel, press down on the
accelerator pedal; the vehicle goes
forward at 4.5 mph.
• REVERSE:
Place the left hand on the
steeringwheel.With the right hand
holding the gearshift in reverse,
press your foot down on the
accelerator; the vehicle reverses at
2.25mph. (Reverse is spring-loaded
for safety).
• BRAKE:
The electric braking system stops
the vehicle automatically when
your child lifts his foot off the
long period of time unplug the
battery from the main wire
harness of the vehicle. Remember
to charge the battery at least every
three months.
• Never charge the battery upside
down.
• Do not forget batteries during
charging! Check them periodically.
• Never use a replacement recharger
or batteries unless they are approved
by PEG PEREGO.
• Batteries are sealed and maintenance
free.
• Battery polarity must be observed
when connecting battery to
wiring.
WARNING:
• BATTERIES CONTAIN TOXIC AND
CORROSIVE SUBSTANCES. DO NOT
TAMPER WITH THEM.
• Batteries contain an acid-based
electrolyte.
• Do not make direct contact
between battery terminals, as this
can cause an explosion or fire.
• Charging produces explosive
gases. Charge batteries in a well
ventilated area away from sources
of heat and flammable materials.
• Exhausted batteries are to be
removed from the vehicle.
• Do not place the batteries near
clothing to avoid damage.
IF A LEAK DEVELOPS
Shield your eyes. Avoid direct
contact with the electrolyte, protect
your hands.
Place battery in a plastic bag and
follow directions listed below.
IF ELECTROLYTE COMES IN
CONTACT WITH SKIN OR CLOTHING
Flush with cool water for at least 15
minutes.
See a physician at once.
IF ELECTROLYTE IS INGESTED
Give tap water, milk of magnesia or
egg whites at once.
Do not induce vomiting.
See a physician at once.
DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES
Help protect the environment!
Do not throw used batteries in your
regular, household trash.
Dispose of the old batteries in an
approved dumping station; contact
your local environmental protection
agency office for further
information.
RULES FOR SAFE DRIVING
This product conforms to EN 71 and
conforms to EN 50088 safety
standard for electric toys.
This vehicle is not intended for use
on streets, around traffic or parked
cars.
This product meets and/or exceeds
all ASTM TOY SAFETY STANDARDS,
including F 963, Consumer Toy
Safety Specifications.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
• Regularly check the conditions of
the vehicle, particularly the
electrical system, the plug
connections, the covering caps
and the charger. In case of fault, do
not try to use the vehicle and the
charger. For repair use only
original PEG PEREGO’s spare parts.
• PEG PEREGO assumes no liability if
the electrical system is tampered
with.
• Do not leave vehicle or batteries
near sources of heat such as
radiators, stoves, fireplaces, etc.
• Protect vehicle from water, rain,
snow, etc.
• It can operate on grass, dirt or hard
surfaces.
• When operating in overload
conditions, such as soft deep sand,
mud or rough uneven terrain, the
overload circuit breaker will
automatically disconnect the
power. After 10 or more
seconds,the circuit breaker will
automatically reset, however you
must eliminate overload
conditions to resume normal
driving.
• Periodically lubricate (with a light
weight oil) moving parts, such as
wheel bearings, steering linkages,
where they rotate or touch one
another.
• The vehicle’s surface can be
cleaned with a dampcloth. Do not
use abrasive cleaners.The cleaning
must be carried out by adults only.
• Never disassemble the vehicle
mechanisms or motor unless
authorized by PEG PEREGO.

7 • Unir la otra parte del contrapeso presionando a
la vez los 2 componentes.
8 • Enganchar a presión las piezas laterales al
chasis.
9 • Montar a presión la tuerca que hay debajo del
volante.
10 • Empujar desde el fondo del tractor la varilla del
volante hasta que salga por el extremo superior
del chasis.
11 • Mantener la varilla en esta posición y meter el
volante.
12 • Fijar el volante con el tornillo y la tuerca que se
entregan, teniendo cuidado en meter el tornillo
en el orificio circular y la tuerca en el
hexagonal.
13 • Poner los adhesivos en los alojamientos de los
faros traseros como indica la figura.
14 • Enganchar los faros desde abajo hacia arriba.
15 • Desenroscar los botones esféricos que hay en el
fondo del asiento.
16 • Colocar el asiento de manera que corresponda
con los orificios del soporte del asiento.
17 • El asiento se puede regular en 2 posiciones
según la altura del niño (véase la figura).
18 • Después de haber colocado el asiento, volver a
atornillar los dos botones esféricos de fijación.
19 • Volver a colocar el soporte del asiento en el
chasis del tractor.
20 • Volver a colocar el soporte del asiento en el
chasis del tractor y volver a atornillar los 2
tornillos.
21 • Colocar el roll bar (véase la figura).
22 • Empujar el roll bar hasta el fondo.
23 • Atornillar los 2 tornillos de fijación.
24 • Meter a presión el tapón de la gasolina que
está en la parte de detrás del tractor.
25 • Insertar los tapones del brasomando.
26 • Insertar y fijar el conjunto brazomando con el
tornillo apropiado.
27 • Colocar el brazo de la cuchara sobre la pala
orientando los componentes como indica el
esquema A. Fijar los componentes con tornillo
y tuerca ayudándose con la llave en dotación y
un destornillador, por el lado que se indica en la
figura.
28 • Poner el segundo tornillo por el lado opuesto
sin introducirlo del todo para facilitar las
operaciones siguientes.
29 • Introducir el resorte en el orificio del brazo de
la cuchara, girarlo y al mismo tiempo hacer
presión hacia abajo (véase el esquema al lado).
30 • Empujar el tornillo hacia el interior del resorte.
Colocar una arandela y una tuerca en el tornillo
siguiendo el orden que se indica en el
esquema.
31 • Apretar el tornillo con la ayuda de la llave en
dotación y de un destornillador.
32 • Introducir el tirante del brazo de mando en el
orificio de la pala.
33 • Colocar una tacha en la herramienta en
dotación como se indica en el esquema.
34 • Aplicar el adhesivo n°12Ly 12R. Fijar el tirante
del brazo de mando presionando la tacha a
fondo.
35 • Destornillar una de las dos tuercas de fijación
del tirante de la cuchara con la ayuda de las dos
llaves, como se indica en la figura.
36 • Extraer el tirante de la cuchara con la arandela
(A), con cuidado para que ésta no se pierda.
37 • Quitar los dos tornillos de seguridad de los
lados de la cabina y quitar los dos discos de
plástico (conservar los discos para cuando haya
que cerrar la cabina).
38 • Presionar los dos botones e al mismo tiempo
ensanchar la cabina como indica la figura para
desbloquearla.
39 • Levantar y quitar la cabina.
40 • Poner la cabina y engancharla en la cuchara.
41 • NO: La cabina no está enganchada.
OK: La cabina está enganchada correctamente.
42 • Hacer presión sobre la cabina hasta alinear los
dos orificios laterales con los orificios de la
cuchara.
43 • Introducir completamente el tirante (con la
arandela) que se ha quitado anteriormente,
haciéndolo salir por la parte opuesta de la
cabina.
44 • Fijar el tirante con la segunda arandela y la
tuerca que se han quitado anteriormente.
45 • Apretar la tuerca con la ayuda de las dos llaves
en dotación como se indica en la figura.

• When operating in overload
conditions, such as soft deep
sand, mud or rough uneven
terrain, the overload circuit
breaker will automatically
disconnect the power. After 10 or
more seconds,the circuit breaker
will automatically reset, however-

conditions to resume normal
driving.
IF THE VEHICLE DOES NOT
OPERATE?
• Check that all the plugs are
properly connected.
• Check to make sure that no wires
are disconnected from the
reduction gears.
• Check the accelerator switch, if
vehicle runs replace switch.
• Check that the battery is
connected to the electrical system.
IF THERE IS NO POWER?
• Fully recharge the batteries. If the
problem persists, check with an
Authorized PEG PEREGO Service
Center.
