5.1 Storag and Transportation

nuts or mounting aids.

6 Operation
6.1 G n ral Information about Tag Typ s
Read/Write Tag 13.56 MHz (Inductive)
R ad/writ tags in this fr qu ncy rang off r a consid rably high r r ading sp d than
r ad/writ tags for th 125 kHz syst m. Sinc this is a non-propri tary syst m, cost- ff ctiv
r ad/writ tags ar availabl from many third-party manufactur rs.
By using a command, you can t ll th d vic which sp cific r ad/writ tag to communicat
with.
IQT1-*-IO-V1 r ad/writ stations curr ntly support th following r ad/writ tags:
13.56 MHz/ISO 15693 Tag Type
Th r ad/writ tags usually hav a 64 byt uniqu r ad-only cod that has b n d fin d by
th manufactur r and can only b r ad, but not chang d, by th us r. In addition, most
r ad/writ tags hav a m mory bank (R/W us r m mory) that can b r ad and writt n. Th
siz of this m mory bank d p nds on th tag typ . Th m mory bank of most r ad/writ tags
is divid d into blocks that ar 4 byt s in l ngth. Wh n a r ad/writ command is issu d, th
start addr ss and th r qu st d numb r of data blocks or numb r of byt s ar indicat d for
acc ss purpos s.

6.2 IO-Link
Th IQT1-*-IO-V1 r ad/writ h ads support IO-Link v rsion 1.1. SIO mod is not support d.

6.3 IO-Link Easy Mod
Easy mod nabl s th intuitiv commissioning of th r ad/writ h ad without a function
block. Th data for asy mod is split into param t rs that ar acyclically transf rr d into
proc ss data that is cyclically xchang d b tw n th r ad/writ h ad and th IO-Link
mast r.
You can adjust th param t rs of th r ad/writ h ad that ar d fin d by th IODD fil via a
configuration tool. Th param t rs ar stor d in th non-volatil m mory of th r ad r until
th n xt chang . Th r ad/writ commands ar also part of th s t of param t rs and ar not
transf rr d as cyclic proc ss data. You can s l ct th r ad/writ command you want via th
configuration tool from a list of possibl r ad/writ commands.
