Important
Read this important information booklet carefully before you use the
shaver and the Jet Clean System (specic types only) and save it for
future reference.
Note: In this booklet the term ‘appliances’ refers to the shaver and the Jet
Clean System. If your shaver does not come with a Jet Clean System, it refers
to the shaver only.
General
Danger
- Make sure the adapter does not get wet (Fig. 1).
Warning
- The adapter contains a transformer. Do not cut off the adapter to
replace it with another plug, as this causes a hazardous situation.
- These appliances are not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a
person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliances.
- Be careful with hot water when you clean the appliances.Always
check if the water is not too hot, to prevent your hands from getting
burnt.
Caution
- Never immerse the Jet Clean System and the charger in water, do
not rinse them under the tap and do not put them in the dishwasher.
- Always place and use the appliances on a surface that is uid-resistant.
ENGLISH

- Use, charge and store the appliances at a temperature between
5°C and 35°C.
- Only use the accessories supplied.
- Always check the appliances and accessories before you use them.
Do not use the appliances or any of their parts if they are damaged,
as this may cause injury. Replace damaged parts by the original type.
- Water may leak from the socket at the bottom of the shaver when
you rinse it.This is normal and not dangerous because all electronics
are enclosed in a sealed power unit inside the shaver.
- RQ12xx series: Noise level: Lc = 65 dB [A]
- RQ11xx series: Noise level: Lc = 67 dB [A]

Caution
- Only use the Beard Styler attachment to trim facial hair (beard,
moustache and sideburns). Do not use it to trim body parts below
the neckline.
- Only use the Beard Styler attachment in combination with the
following shaver types: RQ12xx,RQ11xx, RQ10xx.
- The Beard Styler attachment is not dishwasher-proof.
- Do not use the Beard Styler attachment if it is damaged.

Caution
- Never immerse the Jet Clean System in water.
- Only use the Jet Clean System with the original HQ200 cleaning uid.
- Always place the Jet Clean System on a stable, level and horizontal
surface to prevent leakage.
- Empty the cleaning chamber and clean it thoroughly by rinsing it with
hot tap water every 15 days.
- The Jet Clean System thoroughly cleans but does not disinfect your
shaver, therefore do not share the shaver with others.
- The cleaning chamber of the Jet Clean System is not dishwasher-
proof.
- When the Jet Clean System is ready for use, do not move it to
prevent leakage of cleaning uid.

Compliance with standards
- This shaver complies with the internationally approved safety
regulations and can be safely used in the bath or shower and cleaned
under the tap (Fig. 2).
- These Philips appliances comply with all standards regarding
electromagnetic elds (EMF). If handled properly and according to the
instructions in this important information booklet and in the usage
information booklet packed with the shaver, the appliances are safe to
use based on scientic evidence available today.
Disposal
- Do not throw away the appliances with the normal household waste
at the end of their life, but hand them in at an ofcial collection point
for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the
environment (Fig. 3).
- The rechargeable shaver battery contains substances that may pollute
the environment. Always remove the battery before you discard and
hand in the shaver at an ofcial collection point. Dispose of the
battery at an ofcial collection point for batteries. If you have trouble
removing the battery, you can also take the shaver to a Philips service
centre.The staff of this centre will remove the battery for you and
will dispose of it in an environmentally safe way (Fig. 4).
Removing the rechargeable shaver battery
Only remove the rechargeable battery when you discard the shaver.
Make sure the battery is completely empty when you remove it.
Be careful, the battery strips are sharp.
1 Check if there are screws in the back of the shaver. If so, remove
them.
2 Remove the back panel of the shaver with a screwdriver.
3 Remove the rechargeable battery.

Consumer Care Centre in your country. You nd its phone number in the
worldwide guarantee leaet. If there is no Consumer Care Centre in your
country, go to your local Philips dealer.
Guarantee restrictions
The shaving heads (cutters and shaving guards) are not covered by the
terms of the international guarantee because they are subject to wear.
Ordering accessories
To purchase accessories for this appliance, please visit our online shop at
www.shop.philips.com/service. If the online shop is not available in
your country, go to your Philips dealer or a Philips service centre. If you
have any difculties obtaining accessories for your appliance, please
contact the Philips Consumer Care Centre in your country. You nd its
contact details in the worldwide guarantee leaet.
Cleaning
- We advise you to use the HX110 Philips Cleaning Spray to clean the
shaver.
- Specic types only: The best and most hygienic way to clean the
shaver is in the Jet Clean System. Only use the Jet Clean System with
the original HQ200 cleaning uid.
Replacement
- We advise you to replace your shaving unit (RQ12xx series) or
shaving head holder (RQ11xx series) every two years. (Fig. 5)
- RQ12xx series:Always replace the shaving unit with an original
RQ12 Philips Shaving Unit.
- RQ11xx series:Always replace the shaving head holder with an
original RQ11 Philips Shaving Head Holder.

Forsigtig
- Brug kun skægstyler-tilbehøret til trimning af ansigtshår (skæg,
overskæg og bakkenbarter). Brug den ikke til trimning af kropszoner
fra halsen og nedefter.
- Brug kun skægstyler-tilbehøret sammen med følgende shavertyper:
RQ12xx,RQ11xx, RQ10xx.
- Skægstyler-tilbehøret kan ikke gå i opvaskemaskinen.
- Brug ikke skægstyler-tilbehøret, hvis det er beskadiget.

Forsigtig
- Nedsænk aldrig Jet Clean-systemet i vand.
- Anvend kun Jet Clean-systemet med den originale HQ200-
rensevæske.
- Placer altid Jet Clean-systemet på et stabilt, plant og vandret underlag
for at undgå lækage.
- Tøm rensekammeret hver 15. dag, og rengør det omhyggeligt ved at
skylle det under den varme hane.
- Jet Clean-systemet renser din shaver meget grundigt, men desincerer
den ikke. Derfor bør du ikke dele shaveren med andre.
- Rensekammeret i Jet Clean-systemet må ikke kommes i
opvaskemaskinen.

- For at undgå udsivende rensevæske må Jet Clean-systemet ikke
yttes, når det er klar til brug.
Overholdelse af standarder
- Denne shaver overholder de internationalt godkendte
sikkerhedsregler og kan bruges i badet eller bruseren og rengøres
under vandhanen uden sikkerhedsrisiko (g. 2).
- Disse Philips-apparater overholder alle standarder for
elektromagnetiske felter (EMF). Ved korrekt håndtering og anvendelse
i overensstemmelse med instruktionerne i denne brochure med
vigtige oplysninger og den brugervejledning, der medfølger til
shaveren, er apparaterne sikre at anvende ifølge den videnskabelige
viden, der er tilgængelig i dag.
Bortskaffelse
- Apparatet må ikke smides ud sammen med det almindelige
husholdningsaffald, når det til sin tid kasseres. Aevér det i stedet på
en kommunal genbrugsstation. På den måde er du med til at beskytte
miljøet (g. 3).
- Det indbyggede genopladelige batteri indeholder stoffer, der kan
forurene miljøet. Fjern altid batteriet, før du kasserer apparatet, og
aeverer det på en genbrugsstation. Aever batteriet på et ofcielt
indsamlingssted for brugte batterier. Kan du ikke få batteriet ud, kan
du aevere apparatet til Philips, som vil sørge for at tage batteriet ud
og bortskaffe det på en miljømæssig forsvarlig måde (g. 4).
Udtagning af det genopladelige shaverbatteri
Tag ikke batteriet ud, før apparatet skal kasseres. Sørg for, at batteriet
er fuldstændigt aadet, inden det tages ud.
Pas på: Strimlerne på batteriet er skarpe.
1 Kontroller, om der er skruer bag på shaveren. Hvis der er, skal de
fjernes.
2 Fjern shaverens bagbeklædning med en skruetrækker.
