Important
Read these instructions for use carefully before you use the appliance and
save them for future reference.
Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the
local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.
Do not use the appliance if the mains cord, the plug or other parts
are damaged.

If the mains cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Philips, a
service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualied persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
Switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains before
you change accessories or approach parts that move during use.
Never immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid, nor
rinse it under the tap. Only use a moist cloth to clean the motor
unit.
Never let the appliance run unattended.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.
Do not allow children to use the appliance without supervision.
This appliance is intended for household use only.
Do not exceed the quantities and processing times indicated in the
table.
Do not process more than three batches without interruption. Let
the appliance cool down to room temperature before you continue
processing.
Never touch the blades when the appliance is plugged in.The
blades are very sharp.
If the blades get stuck, unplug the appliance before you remove the
ingredients that block the blades.
Noise level: Lc = 70 dB [A]
Overheat protection
This appliance is equipped with overheat protection. If the appliance
overheats, it switches off automatically. Unplug the appliance and let it
cool down for 5 minutes.Then put the mains plug back into the wall
socket and switch on the appliance again. Please contact your Philips
dealer or an authorised Philips service centre if the overheat protection is
activated too often.

This Philips appliance complies with all standards regarding
electromagnetic elds (EMF). If handled properly and in accordance with
the instructions in this instruction manual, the appliance is safe to use
according to scientic evidence available today.

Thoroughly clean the parts that come into contact with food before you
use the appliance for the rst time (see chapter ‘Cleaning’).
Preparing for use
1 Let hot ingredients cool down before you chop them, blend
them or pour them into the beaker (max. temperature 80°C).
2 Cut large ingredients into pieces of approximately 2cm before you
process them.
3 Assemble the appliance properly before you put the plug in the wall
socket.
Using the appliance
Hand blender
The hand blender is intended for:
blending uids, e.g. dairy products, sauces, fruit juices, soups, mixed
drinks and shakes.
mixing soft ingredients, e.g. pancake batter or mayonnaise.
pureeing cooked ingredients, e.g. for making baby food.
1 Attach the blender bar to the motor unit (‘click’) (Fig. 2).
2 Put the ingredients in the beaker.

3 Immerse the blade guard completely in the ingredients to avoid
splashing (Fig. 3).
4 Press the normal speed button or the turbo speed button to
switch on the appliance.
When you use the normal speed button, you can adjust the speed
with the speed selector. (Fig. 4)
The higher the speed, the shorter the processing time required.
When you use the turbo speed button, the appliance operates at
maximum speed. In this case, you cannot adjust the speed with the
speed selector.
5 Move the appliance slowly up and down and in circles to blend the
ingredients (Fig. 5).
Mini chopper (HR1372 only) and extra-large chopper
(HR1372/HR1371 only)
The choppers are intended for chopping ingredients such as nuts, meat,
onions, hard cheese, boiled eggs, garlic, herbs, dry bread etc.
Be very careful when you handle the blade unit, the blades are very
sharp. Be particularly careful when you remove the blade unit from
the chopper bowl, when you empty the chopper bowl and during
cleaning.
HR1372 only: use the extra-large chopper bowl and the serrated blade
unit to crush ice.

3 Put the coupling unit on the chopper bowl (Fig. 7).
4 Fasten the motor unit onto the chopper bowl (‘click’) (Fig. 8).
5 Press the normal speed button or the turbo speed button to
switch on the appliance.
If the ingredients stick to the wall of the chopper bowl, loosen
them with a spatula or by adding liquid.
After processing one batch, let the appliance cool down to room
temperature before you continue processing.
Whisk (type HR1372 only)
The whisk is intended for whipping cream, whisking egg whites, desserts
etc.
1 Connect the whisk to the coupling unit (‘click’) (Fig. 9).
2 Connect the coupling unit to the motor unit (‘click’) (Fig. 10).
3 Put the ingredients in a bowl.
Tip: Use a large bowl for the best result.

Note: Do not process more than 1 batch without interruption. Let the
appliance cool down to room temperature before continue processing.
4 To prevent splashing, set the speed selector to a low setting and
press the normal speed button.
5 After approx. 1 minute, you can press the turbo button to
continue at turbo speed.
Cleaning
Do not immerse the motor unit, the whisk coupling unit (HR1372
only) and the extra large chopper coupling unit in water.
1 Unplug the appliance.
2 Press the release buttons on the motor unit to remove the blender
bar or coupling unit.
3 Disassemble the rest of the parts.
Tip:You can also remove the rubber rings from the chopper bowls for extra
thorough cleaning.
4 See the separate cleaning table for further instructions.
Environment
Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste
at the end of its life, but hand it in at an ofcial collection point for
recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the
environment (Fig. 11).
Accessories
You can order a direct-driven mini chopper (under service code number
4203 035 83460) from your Philips dealer or a Philips service centre as
an extra accessory for the HR1372, HR1371 and HR1370.
Use the quantities and processing times of the mini chopper for this
accessory.

Før apparatet tages i brug første gang
Sørg for at rengøre de dele, der kommer i berøring med mad, inden du
bruger apparatet første gang (se afsnittet “Rengøring”).
Klargøring
1 Varme ingredienser skal køle af, før du hakker, blender eller hælder
dem i bægeret (maks. temperatur 80° C).
2 Større ingredienser skal skæres op i stykker af ca. 2 cm, før de
tilberedes.
3 Apparatet skal samles korrekt, før du sætter stikket i stikkontakten.

Stavblender
Stavblenderen er beregnet til:
blendning af ydende ingredienser, f.eks. mejeriprodukter, sauce,
frugtjuice, suppe, mixede drinks og shakes.
mixning af bløde ingredienser, f.eks. pandekagedej eller mayonnaise.
purering af kogte ingredienser, f.eks. ved tilberedning af babymad.
1 Sæt blenderstaven på motorenheden (“klik”) (g. 2).
2 Kom ingredienserne op i bægeret.

Jo højere hastighed, desto kortere tilberedningstid.
Når du bruger turbo-knappen, arbejder apparatet med maksimal
hastighed, og hastighedsvælgeren kan ikke aktiveres.
5 Bevæg apparatet langsomt op og ned og i cirkler for at blende
ingredienserne (g. 5).
Mini-hakkeren (kun HR1372) og den ekstra store hakker
(kun HR1372/HR1371)
Hakkerne er beregnet til at hakke ingredienser som nødder, kød, løg, hård
ost, kogte æg, hvidløg, urter, tørt brød osv.
Vær meget forsigtig, når du rører ved knivenheden, knivene er meget
skarpe.Vær ekstra forsigtig, når du fjerner knivenheden for at tømme
hakkeskålen, og ved rengøring.
Kun HR1372: brug den ekstra store hakkeskål og den savtakkede
knivenhed til at knuse is.
1 Sæt hakkeknivenheden i hakkeskålen (g. 6).
2 Kom ingredienserne i hakkeskålen.

Tip: Det bedste resultat opnås med en stor skål.

4 For at undgå at sprøjte, skal man sætte hastighedsvælgeren på en
lav indstilling og trykke på den normale hastighedsknap.
5 Efter ca. 1 minut kan man trykke på turbo-knappen og fortsætte
med turbo-hastighed.
Rengøring
Motorenheden, koblingsenheden til piskeriset (kun HR1372) og
koblingsenheden til den ekstra store hakker må aldrig kommes i vand.
1 Tag stikket ud af stikkontakten.
2 Tryk på udløserknapperne på motorenheden for at fjerne
blenderstaven eller koblingsenheden.
3 Adskil de øvrige dele.
Tip: Man kan også fjerne gummiringene fra hakkeskålene, så de kan
rengøres ekstra grundigt.
4 Det separate rengøringsskema indeholder yderligere oplysninger.
Miljøhensyn
Apparatet må ikke smides ud sammen med almindeligt
husholdningsaffald, når det til sin tid kasseres. Aevér det i stedet på
en kommunal genbrugsstation. På den måde er du med til at
beskytte miljøet (g. 11).
Tilbehør
Du kan bestille en aksel-drevet minihakker (typenr. 4203 035 83460) hos
din Philips-forhandler som ekstratilbehør til HR1372, HR1371 og HR1370.
Brug de angivne mængder og tilberedningstider for minihakkeren til dette
tilbehør.
