The Philips SenseIQ technology uses an infrared sensor to sense the hair’s
temperature & adapt the temperature. The infrared sensor has been tested
in a room temperature of 23°C. Please note that in some instances, such as
when the room temperature is warm (i.e. above 30°C), or when the dryer
is used for a longer period of time in combination with an attachment, the
sensor can become warm. When this happens, the sensor of the dryer is
triggered and temperature will automatically drop to a lower heat setting. If
this occurs, you can either continue using the dryer at the lower heat setting

for a higher temperature.
