Introduction
The Philips SalonVolumeVitesse has been
especially designed to meet your personal needs.
The amount of settings gives you maximum
control over maximum power suitable for your
hair.With the professional ergonomically designed
attachments you can dry efficiently and create the
style you want.
Important
◗Check if the voltage indicated on the
appliance corresponds to the local mains
voltage before you connect the appliance.
◗Keep this appliance away from water! Do not
use this product near or over water
contained in baths,washbasins,sinks etc..
When used in a bathroom,unplug the
appliance after use since the proximity of
water presents a risk,even when the
hairdryer is switched off.
◗For additional protection we advise you to
install a residual current device (RCD) with a
rated residual operating current not
exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit
supplying the bathroom.Ask your installer for
advice.
◗Keep the appliance away from children.
◗Never block the air grilles.
◗If the appliance overheats,it will switch off
automatically.Unplug the appliance and let it
cool down for a few minutes.Before you
switch the appliance on again,check the grilles

Drying
1Put the plug into the wall socket.
C2Switch the appliance on by the air speed
selector.
C3Select the desired air speed:switch to I for
a gentle air stream.Switch to II for a
strong air stream.
4Select the desired air temperature:
position xfor cool air,position xfor warm
air and position @for hot air.
5Use a strong air stream and hot air for fast
drying.
6Use a gentle air stream and warm air for
drying short hair or styling your hair.
C7Dry the hair by making stroking
movements.
When styling
◗For long lasting results,direct a cool airflow at
your final style:

C8Press the blue button and keep it pressed
down to activate the cool airflow.
◗If the knob is released,the appliance will
operate again at the preset temperature.

Concentrator
◗To concentrate the airflow,you can connect
the concentrator to the air outlet
C1Connect the concentrator by simply
snapping it onto the appliance.Disconnect
it by pulling it off.
C◗The concentrator allows you to direct the
airflow straight at the brush you are using to
style your hair.
Ergonomic Care diffuser
C◗The diffuser is developed to gently dry both
straight and curly or wavy hairs.It generates a
soft and gentle airflow,which dries the hair
quickly.The diffuser allows to create a bouncy
and softly flowing hairdo.

C1Connect the diffuser by simply snapping it
onto the appliance.Disconnect it by pulling
it off.
C◗To add volume at the roots,insert the pins
into your hair in such a way that they touch
your scalp.
C◗Then make rotating movements with the
appliance to diffuse the warm air evenly
through your hair.
Curled hair
◗When you are styling curly or wavy hair,hold
the diffuser at a distance of 10-15 cm from
your head to let the hair dry gradually.
C◗In the meantime you can model your hair
with your free hand or with a wide-toothed
comb.
◗You can also scrunch locks of hair in your
hand to model the curls and waves while
drying.This will prevent the curls from sagging
or becoming frizzy.

Long hair
C◗To dry long hair,you can spread out locks of
hair on top of the diffuser...
C◗...or you can comb it downwards with the

Styling and drying tips
Here is one style you can create easily and gently
with the Philips SalonVolumeVitesse Hairdryer.As
you become more familiar with the appliance,you
will discover many other ways to create great
styles.Just use your imagination!
1After washing and conditioning your hair
as usual,start drying it by dabbing the wet
hair with a towel,then comb it through
carefully.
2Place the diffuser in your hair so that the
tips of the air pins touch your scalp.By
making circular movements with the
diffuser,the hair will be lifted towards the
base of the diffuser and the air flowing
from the air pins will dry the hair from the
root upwards.This will add more volume

to your hair.Continue drying until your
hair is dry at the roots.
C3Set the airflow to a lower position and dry
your hair completely.Use a comb or brush
to style your hair in the desired way while
drying.
C4To create volume at the hair ends,hold the
diffuser in horizontal position and place
some locks of hair on the base of the
diffuser between the air pins and leave
them there for a few moments.The gentle
airflow will prevent your curls or waves
from being blown out of style while drying.
C5Finish off with a cool shot to fix your style.
Replacement

starke Leistung des Geräts Ihrem Haar individuell
anpassen.Mit den ergonomisch gestalteten
Aufsätzen trocknen Sie Ihr Haar gründlich und
gestalten die Frisur,die IhrenWünschen
entspricht.
Wichtig
◗Prüfen Sie,bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb
nehmen,ob die Spannungsangabe auf dem
Gerät mit der örtlichen Netzspannung
übereinstimmt.
◗Halten Sie das Gerät vonWasser fern!
Verwenden Sie das Gerät niemals in der Nähe
vonWasser oder über gefülltenWaschbecken
bzw.Badewannen.Ziehen Sie nach dem
Gebrauch in einem Badezimmer sofort den
Stecker aus der Steckdose.Auch ein
unbenutztes und ausgeschaltetes Gerät ist in
der Nähe vonWasser eine Gefahr,solange

starker Erwärmung ausschaltet.Ziehen Sie
dann den Stecker aus der Steckdose.
Nachdem das Gerät einige Minuten abgekühlt
hat,können Sie es wieder benutzen.Prüfen Sie
aber zuvor,ob Lufteinlaß- und
Luftauslaßöffnungen von Haaren oder Flusen
frei sind.
◗Ziehen Sie nach Gebrauch stets den
Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.
Das Haar trocknen
1Stecken Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose.
C2Schalten Sie das Gerät am Gebläseschalter
ein.
C3Schalten Sie die gewünschte Gebläsestufe
ein:I für einen sanften Luftstrom,II für
einen starken Luftstrom.
4Schalten Sie die gewünschte
Temperaturstufe ein:x für Kaltluft,und @
fürWarmluft.
5Zum schnellenTrocknen wählen Sie
starken Luftstrom (II) undWarmluft ( @).
6ZumTrocknen von kurzem Haar und zum
Stylen wählen Sie den sanften Luftstrom (I)
undWarmluft ( @).

C7Trocknen Sie das Haar,indem Sie das
Gerät in parallelen Bewegungen durch das
Haar führen.
Stylen
◗Richten Sie einen kalten Luftstrom auf Ihr
Haar,um die Frisur zu fixieren.
C8DieAbkühlstufe wird eingeschaltet,indem
Sie den blauen Schalter drücken und
gedrückt halten.
◗Wenn Sie den blauen Schalter loslassen,
schaltet das Gerät auf die eingestellte
Temperatur zurück.
DieAufsätze
Die Stylingdüse
◗Die Stylingdüse dient dazu,den Luftstrom am
Luftauslaß zu konzentrieren.
C1Die Stylingdüse wird auf das Gerät
aufgesetzt und rastet ein.ZumAbnehmen
wird sie einfach wieder abgezogen.
C◗Mit der Stylingdüse läßt sich der Luftstrom
direkt auf die Bürste konzentrieren,die Sie
beim Stylen verwenden.

Der ergonomisch gestaltete Diffusor
C◗Mit dem Diffusor können Sie sowohl glattes
wie lockiges oder welliges Haar auf sanfte
Weise trocknen.Er erzeugt einen ruhigen und
gleichmäßigen Luftstrom,der das Haar schnell
trocknet.Mit seiner Hilfe kommt eine weich
fallende,lockere Frisur zustande.
C1Der Diffusor wird auf das Gerät aufgesetzt
und rastet ein.ZumAbnehmen wird er
einfach wieder abgezogen.
C◗Setzen Sie die Diffusorfinger in das Haar,so
daß sie die Kopfhaut berühren.So erhalten Sie
vom Haaransatz her vollesVolumen.
C◗Lassen Sie dann die warme Luft in kreisenden
Bewegungen gleichmäßig durch das Haar
strömen.
Lockiges Haar
◗Halten Sie den Diffusor auf 10 bis 15 cm
Abstand vom Kopf,wenn Sie lockiges oder
welliges Haar stylen,damit das Haar langsam
trocknet.
C◗Dabei können Sie Ihr Haar mit der freien
Hand oder einem groben Kamm modellieren.

◗Sie können auch einzelne Haarsträhnen beim
Trocknen mit der freien Hand kneten,um das
Haar zu modellieren.Die Locken fallen
dadurch locker.
Langes Haar
C◗Langes Haar läßt sich trocknen,indem Sie es

Hinweise zumTrocknen und Stylen

andere Anwendungsmöglichkeiten ausfindig
machen.Gebrauchen Sie Ihre Phantasie!
1Waschen und konditionieren Sie Ihr Haar
wie üblich.Trocknen Sie das Haar mit
einem Handtuch vor,und kämmen Sie es
sorgfältig durch.

2Setzen Sie den Diffusor so in Ihr Haar,daß
die Diffusorfinger die Kopfhaut berühren.
Unter kreisenden Bewegungen heben Sie
das Haar amAnsatz an.Die Luft,die aus
den Diffusorfingern strömt,trocknet das
Haar von der Haarwurzel her.So erhält die
Frisur mehrVolumen.Setzen Sie den
Vorgang fort,bis das Haar von der
Haarwurzel an trocken ist.
C3Schalten Sie am Gebläseschalter auf die
niedrige Stufe (I) zurück,und trocknen Sie
das Haar zu Ende.Geben Sie Ihrer Frisur
dabei mit einem Kamm oder einer Bürste
die endgültige Form.
C4Zu den Haarspitzen hin erhalten Sie mehr
Volumen,indem Sie den Diffusor aufwärts
richten und einige Strähnen für einen
Augenblick zwischen die Diffusorfinger
legen.Das sanfte Gebläse trocknet das
Haar,ohne die Frisur zu beeinträchtigen.
C5Fixieren Sie Ihre Frisur abschließend mit
derAbkühlstufe.
Ersatz und Reparatur
◗Wenn das Netzkabel defekt oder beschädigt
ist,muß es durch ein original Philips Netzkabel
ersetzt werden,weil für die Reparatur
speziellesWerkzeug und/oder Ersatzteile
benötigt werden.

contrôle maximum de la température de séchage
des cheveux.Avec les accessoires ergonomiques
au design professionnel vous pouvez sécher vos
cheveux efficacement et réaliser le style de
coiffure que vous désirez.
Important
◗Avant de brancher l'appareil,vérifiez que la
tension indiquée sur l'appareil correspond
bien à la tension de votre secteur.
◗Evitez tout contact de l'appareil avec de l'eau!
N'utilisez pas l'appareil près ou au-dessus de
la baignoire,l'évier etc.Si vous utiliser
l'appareil dans la salle de bains,débranchez-le
après usage.La proximité de l'eau peut
présenter un danger même quand le sèche-
cheveux est arrêté.
◗Pour plus de protection,il est conseillé de
brancher l'appareil sur une prise de courant
protégée par un disjoncteur différentiel de
30mA.Demandez conseil à votre électricien.
◗Tenez l'appareil à l'écart des enfants.
◗N'obstruez jamais la grille d'entrée d'air.
◗En cas de surchauffe,l'appareil se mettra
automatiquement à l'arrêt.Débranchez alors

Séchage
1Branchez l'appareil.
C2Mettez l'appareil en marche en sélectant le
bouton de vitesse du flux d'air.
C3Sélectionnez la vitesse souhaitée:réglez
sur la position I pour un flux d'air doux.
Réglez l'appareil sur la position II pour un
flux d'air puissant.
4Sélectionnez la température souhaitée:
position x pour air frais,xpour un flux
d'air tiède et position @pour un flux d'air
chaud.
5Utilisez un flux d'air puissant et une
température chaude pour un séchage
rapide.
6Utilisez un flux d'air doux et une
température chaude pour sécher les
cheveux courts ou pour vous coiffer.
C7Séchez vos cheveux avec des mouvements
doux.

Pendant le coiffage
◗Pour obtenir des résultats de longue durée,
dirigez un flux d'air frais vers vos cheveux
pour fixer la coiffure finale.
C8Appuyez sur le bouton bleu et maintenez-
le appuyé pour activer le flux d'air frais.
◗Si vous relâchez le bouton,l'appareil
fonctionnera de nouveau à la température
réglée antérieurement.
Accessoires
Concentrateur d'air
◗Pour concentrer le flux d'air,vous pouvez
fixer le concentrateur sur la sortie d'air.
C1Fixez le concentrateur sur l'appareil.
Détachez-le en tirant dessus.
C◗Le concentrateur d'air vous permet de diriger
le flux d'air directement vers la brosse que
vous utilisez pour arranger vos cheveux.

Diffuseur Soin Ergonomique
C◗Ce diffuseur a été conçu pour sécher
délicatement les cheveux raides,bouclés ou
ondulés.Il produit un flux d'air doux et chaud
qui sèche les cheveux rapidement.Le diffuseur
vous permet de donner un maximum de
corps et de volume à votre coiffure.
C1Fixez le diffuseur sur l'appareil.Détachez-le
en tirant dessus.
C◗Pour donner du volume aux racines,faîtes
pénétrer les pointes du diffuseur dans vos
cheveux jusqu'à ce qu'ils touchent le cuir
chevelu.
C◗Ensuite faîtes des mouvements rotatifs avec
l'appareil pour diffuser l'air chaud dans vos
cheveux.
Cheveux bouclés
◗Quand vous bouclez ou ondulez les cheveux,
tenez le diffuseur à une distance de 10 à 15
cm de la tête pour laisser les cheveux sécher
graduellement.
C◗Pendant ce temps vous pouvez modeler votre
coiffure avec les doigts ou avec un peigne à
grandes dents.
