Piper’s HFW-1 Multiple Well Drop-ins add a dependable,
convenient and economical hot food unit to your counter
section. Designed to be used wet or dry, and installed into
all-metal counter fixtures. Multiple well units are available
with or without drains.
ASSEMBLY STRUCTURE
One-piece top-mounting flange is stainless steel with
die-stamped openings in which the wells are mounted
Individual wells are 20-gauge stainless steel, one-
piece, die-stamped construction
Locks are included on all sides to fasten unit into the
countertop
Units are fully insulated for high heat transfer
Drains are manifolded together and include fittings at
each end for field attachment of the pipe cap and 3/4
NPT drain valve provided
Units are UL listed and meet the standards of NSF
The recommended mounting procedure is to seal the
one-piece top-mounting flange to the countertop by
application of silicone NSF Standard 51 rated at 450 F
around the topmounting flange before mounting in place.
ELECTRICAL
All units available in 208/240V - 1200W/1600W, single-
phase or 3-phase. Specify voltage and phase needed.
Each well is individually controlled with an infinite control
and high limit thermostat with indicator light
Models with the suffix “T” (example: 2HFW-1T) have
thermostat controls in place of the infinite control and
high limit
Four, five and six-well units with thermostat controls
require two control boxes
NOTE: Consult factory for part number and availability of
thermostat control units
AUTO WATER FILL OPTION
An optional automatic water fill is available on all units
with drains and manifold
Auto-fill system allows the unit to maintain the proper
water level in each well
A water level sensor is located in one well and a solenoid
and water filter is located under the wrapper bottom
To add this option add the suffix “AF” (example: 2HFW-
1AF) to the model number
NOTE: Consult factory for part number and availability of units
with auto-fill option

Piper’s MD Series Multiple Well Drop-ins add a

The MD Series Multiple Well Drop-ins are designed for

transfer and for easy serviceability
Drains are manifolded together and include fittings at
each end for field attachment of the pipe cap and 3/4
NPT drain valve

CC series is a coved corner builtin designed as a bottom-

The CC Series are available with or without drain, with
a 1/2 NPT stainless steel welded drain in one end with a
removable stainless steel screen
Piper’s hot food wells are either fully-insulated (4 sides
and bottom) with a galvanized wrapper or bottom
insulated only

Piper’s Bottom-mount Built-in is constructed of
heavyduty deep drawn seamless stainless steel 20 gauge
thickness.
The unit can be bottom-insulated or fully-insulated and
is designed to be built into a metal counter.
All drains are of stainless steel construction, 1/2 NPT
fused welded to the bottom pan with a stainless steel
removable screen.
Heating element is metal sheath tubular calrod
construction, shaped in a double “U” configuration for
even heat transfer to the well pan.
Element is mounted under the well pan and attached to
an enclosed heat deflector which is fully insulated and
shielded for best BTU transfer.
Deflector pan is installed to well pan with quick-removal
threaded retainers.
Units are either RU recognized component construction
with open wires and controller of either infinite or
thermostatic design or UL listed construction including
electrical conduit and control box with face plate. Units are
standard with thermostats.

Piper’s Top-mount Drop-in Wells are designed to maintain
the serving temperature of prepared food during the serving
period. These drop-in wells are designed to be mounted in
metal counters using the “Lock” method of installation. Hot
food wells may be used wet or dry. For wood application, a
wood mounting kit is necessary.

Drop-In Dish Dispensers

SPECIFICATIONS
Models AT, ATH, and ATS drop-in tubular dish dispensers.
BODY: Constructed of 18 and 24 ga. stainless steel, fitted with top flange with die formed outer rim and three vertical contoured
plastic dish guides. Model ATS has the body split into sections for use in counters where over-shelves, over-cabinets and
sneeze guards may present a problem for removing in the future. Sections are 16" long and are mechanically joined together to
permit separation.
DISPENSING MECHANISM: Dispensing level is maintained by a complement of springs attached to the top member and to a
stainless steel wire frame fitted with a stainless steel dish platform. The dispenser is easily adjusted by engaging or disengaging
individual springs.
HEATING SYSTEM: Model ATH units have a 120 or 220 volt* single phase heating system with push button switch, neon pilot
light and adjustable thermostat. An outer 24 ga. stainless steel sleeve encloses the unit. Unit is provided with a 4' long, 3
wire cord set which is fitted with NEMA 5-15P plug for 120V or NEMA 6-15P plug for 220V.

Drop-In Souffle & Cup Dispensers
BODY: Consists of a rectangular tubular housing with top flange
and removable bottom. The housing is constructed of 24 ga.
stainless steel and the top is 18 ga. stainless steel. Special
plastic retainers are provided to dispense the cups one at a

service, with trouble-free dispensing guaranteed by its no-jam
design. The quick release mounting bracket supports the
dispenser in vertical, angled or horizontal positions and allows
easy removal for cleaning.
BODY: The body consists of a 24 ga. stainless steel tube with
the top edge rolled for safety. Three specially formed stainless
steel leaftype retainer springs are mounted inside the tube at
the top. A bottom plate is inserted into the tube and retained
by two screws. The tube is inserted through a round hole in
the top plate until its rolled edge rests on the plate.
TOP PLATE: The round stainless steel top plate is flanged
down 1/2" around its perimeter to help keep dirt form being
wiped into the tube. Three stainless steel strips formed to
act as cams, and an adjustable locking clip, are welded to
the inside surface. A single screw is inserted into the clip
through a slot in the tube and serves to hold the body and
top plate together.
DIAMETER ADJUSTMENT: The retainer springs fit through slots
in the body and reach the underside of the top plate, where
they engage with the cams. With the screw loosened the
tube can be rotated with respect to the cams, forcing the retainer springs to
move either in or out. When the desired ID of the retainer springs is reached,
tightening the screw locks this setting so that proper single cup dispensing can
be achieved.
LOADING AND DISPENSING: The dispensing mechanism consists of a stainless
steel coil spring which rests on the bottom plate and is capped with a plastic
cup. Two different springs are provided to give the proper dispensing pressure
for foam cups or for paper or plastic cups. Loading is accomplished by placing
a stack of cups into the top of the tube and pushing it down.
MOUNTING AND CLEANING: The provided mounting bracket mounts through the
counter. After the dispenser is fully inserted, a small counter-clockwise rotation
firmly locks it to the counter, A clockwise rotation unlocks the dispenser,
permitting it to be removed for cleaning. Removal of the bottom plate permits
easy disassembly of the entire unit for thorough cleaning.
DIMENSIONS, CAPACITY AND APPROVALS: The maximum diameter is 7-3/8" and
the height under the counter is 24-1/2". The unit accepts cups with overall
diameters between 3" and 4-5/8". Capacity depends on the particular cup in
use.
NOTE: Samples of the paper cups to be dispensed are NOT required. It
is, however, the customer's responsibility to ascertain that the cups are
within the acceptable diameter range indicated above. The cups must be of
normal light weight and made of either foam, plastic or paper.
