2. Initial Setup Guide

•Be sure o use he adap er be ween he camera and ripod moun o ensure cable clearance.
•The USB- o-e herne adap er is required for simple single camera ins alla ions.
•Fur her considera ions for he final ins alla ion are discussed in Sec ions 8 hrough 10 of his User
Guide.
•Compu er should have RAM: 4G or above; CPU: i5 and higher; OS Version: win7 and higher

5. User Interface Basic Functions
Camera
Cap ures pic ure from curren video s ream; Viewable inside display Pic ure Log

Toggle

Expanded Video
En ers display in o full screen mode; Exi full screen mode by ei her using he mouse o
double lef -click on he display or by pressing <Esc> on keyboard.
Child Window
Spawns a scalable video s ream window ha can be dragged in o an ex ended public
display.
Alarm Indicator
Flashes red rapidly when a empera ure reading occurs above he hreshold se poin
value.
Mute Alarm
Toggles alarm be ween mu e and audible. This does no disable he alarm. However,
if alarm is mu ed, care mus be aken o visually moni or empera ure screening.
Set Threshold
Opens dialog box for user defined hreshold se poin empera ure and empera ure
uni s. The hreshold se poin defines empera ures above which he alarm will ac iva e.
Calibration
S ar s an in erac ive calibra ion procedure; Procedure suppor s calibra ion on human
subjec s and he use of a blackbody.

7. ThermaCheck Calibration
With Human Subject
1) ThermaCheck should be on for at least 50 minutes before calibration is performed.
2) Calibration subject should stand at the same distance from the camera as the screening
subjects.
3) Start interactive calibration procedure with icon function found below main displa :

hermome er (FDA approved device is preferred); he sof ware opera or will en er his value
when promp ed.

user is no ified when calibra ion is comple e
•The calibra ion procedure may ermina e unsuccessfully if he camera has no been urned on for
a sufficien leng h of ime (>50 min), or if here is a s rong ex raneous hea signa ure in he
background.

With Blackbod
1) The blackbod should be placed at the same distance from the camera as the screening
subjects.
2) Set blackbod temperature to 95–97 ˚F (35–36 ˚C) and allow the setpoint temperature to be
reached.
3) Start interactive calibration procedure with icon function found below main displa :

8. Temperature Screening Location

•Preferred environmen al empera ure: 60 - 90˚F (16 - 32˚C), and less han 85% rela ive humidi y.
•Tempera ure measuremen s of subjec s en ering he screening area from he ou side could be
affec ed if here is a significan empera ure difference be ween hese wo environmen s.
•The bes screening loca ion will have a mos ly dark indigo color in he background of he
hermal image. If he background has a s rong hea signa ure source, consider facing he
ThermaCheck camera in ano her direc ion.
