:Th�s un�t �s not a l�fe-support dev�ce , and �n certa�n c�rcumstances oxygen therapy can
be hazardous, �t �s suggested that �f any pat�ent who needs oxygen treatment, please follow
doctor’s adv�ce to choose the r�ght flow and per�od for oxygen before us�ng the oxygen
concentrator.

:In the event of an alarm, you observe your oxygen concentrator not work�ng properly,

:Th�s dev�ce manufactures h�gh concentrat�on oxygen, wh�ch promotes rap�d burn�ng.
Keep oxygen concentrator far away from open flames and no smok�ng around the pat�ent.
:Do not leave a nasal oxygen cannula under bed cover�ngs or cha�r cush�ons. If the un�t
�s turned on w�thout use, the oxygen w�ll help the flammable mater�al get f�re .

:Use no lubr�cants, grease, or petroleum-based products on or near your oxygen
concentrator.
:Electr�cal shock hazard. Do not remove covers wh�le the un�t �s plugged �n. Only your
Equ�pment Prov�der or a qual�f�ed serv�ce techn�c�an should remove the covers or serv�ce
the un�t.
:Care should be taken to prevent the un�t from gett�ng wet or allow�ng water to enter
the un�t.
:Use of th�s equ�pment adjacent to or stacked w�th other equ�pment should be avo�ded
because �t could result �n �mproper operat�on. If such use �s necessary, th�s equ�pment and
the other equ�pment should be observed to ver�fy that they are operat�ng normally.
: Portable RF commun�cat�ons equ�pment (�nclud�ng per�pherals such as antenna
cables and external antennas) should be used no closer than 30 cm (12 �nches) to any part
of the PM-KN10 med�cal oxygen concentrator, �nclud�ng cables spec�f�ed by the
manufacturer. Otherw�se, degradat�on of the performance of th�s equ�pment could result.
:The oxygen concentrator should be set to use �n an env�ronment w�thout dust,
corrupt�on or tox�colog�cal harm gas.
:Do not place the oxygen concentrator �n surround�ngs where �ts a�rflow �s obstructed.
:Do not place �tems on top of the concentrator.
:Always place the concentrator on a hard surface. Never place the concentrator on a
surface such as bed or couch, where the concentrator may t�p or fall.
:NEVER leave the concentrator unattended when plugged �n.

:Ensure the bottom smooth exhaust�on dur�ng operat�ng, or else the oxygen
concentrator w�ll be over-heated.
:5 m�nutes are needed from oxygen concentrator from warm�ng up to reach regular
funct�on and nom�nal performance.
NOTE: If oxygen does not seem to flow, f�rst ver�fy that the flowmeter ball �s reg�ster�ng a flow.
Then, place the t�p of the cannula �nto a glass of water; �f bubbles come out of the cannula,
oxygen �s flow�ng. If bubbles do not appear, turn off the oxygen concentrator �mmed�ately
and refer to Troubleshoot�ng.
NOTE: There �s never a danger of deplet�ng the oxygen �n a room when you use your
oxygen concentrator.
Rad�o Frequency Interference
Most electron�c equ�pment �s �nfluenced by Rad�o Frequency Interference (RFI). When
there �s strong electromagnet�c �nterference, maybe the LCD w�ll be sl�ghtly affected, but
the oxygen concentrator �s st�ll runn�ng. ALWAYS exerc�se CAUTION w�th regard to the use
of portable commun�cat�ons equ�pment �n the area around such equ�pment.
Requ�rement of env�ronment protect�on
The mater�als used �n the system won’t create env�ronment hazard. The pack�ng mater�als
of the system are recyclable, and they must be collected and d�sposed accord�ng to the
related regulat�on �n the country or reg�on where the package of the system or �ts
accessor�es �s opened. The nasal oxygen tube �s made of med�cal PVC, and �f �t �s thrown
away, �t could not be b�o-degradable, so �t w�ll cause the pollut�on. Any mater�al of the
system, that may cause pollut�on �n the env�ronment, must be collected d�sposed str�ctly
compl�ed w�th the local rules and requ�rements.

4 Product �ntroduct�on
PM-KN10 med�cal oxygen concentrator �s a dev�ce that extracts oxygen from atmospher�c
a�r. It w�ll typ�cally be an electr�cally-powered molecular s�eve (art�f�c�al zeol�te) used to
separate n�trogen from amb�ent a�r. It could be appl�ed w�dely �n the hosp�tals at all d�fferent
level, cl�n�cs, health centers and health care for the old person, mental workers and
students, etc.. Whether the user �s profess�onal or not, the users could operate the oxygen
concentrator by themselves after read�ng th�s user’s manual.The oxygen concentrator can
supply 1-2 pat�ents s�multaneously, w�th steady oxygen flow�ng out, safe and rel�able, low
cost, adjustable flow. The key parts of the concentrator adopt ant�-t�r�ng and ant�-ag�ng
des�gn, and the planned l�fe of the whole concentrator reaches up to 20,000 hours or 5
years, wh�chever comes f�rst.

8.2 Power sw�tch
8.3 Oxygen flow meter
The locat�on of float �n the oxygen flow meter shows the outlet oxygen flow (L/m�n.).
8.4 Knob of oxygen flow meter sw�tch
It adjusts and controls the outlet oxygen flow.
Do not Sw�tch �t over-forced, or else �t �s easy to damage the valve core. Sw�tch �t
counterclockw�se to turn on, clockw�se to turn off.
8.5 Outlet for Atom�zat�on (opt�onal)

b. When start�ng the oxygen concentrator, the LCD screen �s l�ghted, and �t w�ll return to
screen saver mode �n 15 m�nutes. But �f you press the r�ght key dur�ng work�ng, the screen
w�ll be l�ghted aga�n.

The two buttons are used for t�m�ng adjustment, and each press of the left button(△) w�ll
�ncrease t�m�ng by 10m�n, the max t�m�ng �s 40 hours. And each press of the r�ght button(▽)
w�ll decrease t�m�ng by 10m�n. When the r�ght button(▽) �s pressed to reduce t�m�ng t�ll “0”,
the oxygen concentrator w�ll turn off automat�cally.
8.10 Hum�d�f�er(as shown �n F�gure 1 ○,10)
Hum�d�f�er wh�ch �s used for hum�d�fy�ng oxygen and prevent�ng throat and nasal mucosa
st�mulated by dry oxygen and dry hard sputum d�ff�cult to sp�t out.

9 Operat�on �nstruct�ons
:The plug �s the d�sconnect�on dev�ce of the oxygen concentrator, when the plug �s
pulled, there �s no power supply. In order to pull the plug eas�ly , be certa�n to place the un�t
where all s�des are at least 30 cm away from walls, draper�es, furn�ture, or other
obstruct�ons. Do not place the un�t �n a conf�ned area.
:Do not turn on or off frequently. To restart the oxygen concentrator after turn�ng off, no
less than 5 m�nutes are necessary (namely, exhaust �nternal gas of the oxygen
concentrator completely, for �f a�r compressor turns on w�th pressure, �ts l�fe w�ll be
shortened)
9.1 If used w�th a hum�d�f�er, unscrew the flask from the hum�d�f�er �n clockw�se d�rect�on,
pour �n proper d�st�lled water or cold bo�led water w�th�n the scale between the max l�ne and

the m�n l�ne(see 11.4), then re-connect the top cover to the hum�d�f�er bottle, as shown �n
F�gure 7. The hum�d�f�er used w�th PM-KN10 must comply w�th the general requ�rement of
the 93/42/EEC European D�rect�ve as appropr�ate.
9.2. connect the nasal oxygen canula to the hum�d�f�er outlet nozzle or to the concentrator
outlet �f a hum�d�f�er has not been prescr�bed. Then set the nasal oxygen cannula over
pat�ent’s ears, �nsert the nasal oxygen cannula �nto pat�ent’s nostr�ls to absorb oxygen; The
nasal oxygen canula should be l�m�ted to 20 meters long, �n order to ensure that the oxygen
flow rate rema�ns w�th�n spec�f�cat�on values. The best absorb�ng t�me for health care keeps
40-50 m�nutes per t�me, absorb�ng t�me for med�cal treatment shall be followed doctor’s
adv�ce, as shown �n F�gure 4.

9.3. Insert the power plug plug �nto the electr�cal outlet of the correct voltage and frequency
as def�ned �n 7(Techn�cal Parameters), and the power connector connected w�th the

appl�ance �nlet of the oxygen concentrator, then set the I/O power sw�tch to the “I” pos�t�on to
turn the un�t on, at the same t�me the O.P. lamp w�ll l�ght(8.1a).

9.4. To set the flow of supplemental oxygen, turn the knob of oxygen flow meter sw�tch left or
r�ght unt�l the ball �ns�de the flowmeter centers on the flow l�ne number recommended

:It �s very �mportant to select only the prescr�bed level of oxygen. Change the flow
select�on only under the gu�dance of your phys�c�an.
9.5. When f�n�shed the absorb�ng, set the I/O power sw�tch to the “O” pos�t�on to turn off the
un�t, �f there �s d�scont�nuous use, please unplug the power plug, as shown �n F�gure 7.

9.6. If the pat�ent needs t�m�ng oxygen absorb�ng, please refer to 8.9
Atom�zat�on operat�on methods(for opt�onal)
The atom�zat�on funct�on of the concentrator �s appl�cable to help to cure the sufferers of
chron�c pulmonary tuberculos�s and resp�ratory system, etc.
:Atom�zat�on treatment must be under adv�ce and suggest�on of your phys�c�an.
:Us�ng d�st�lled water to do the atom�zat�on for several seconds after each operat�on
may l�ghten the crystall�zat�on caused by med�cal solut�on.
:If atom�z�ng cannot work then open the cover of the bottle and add clean water �n
small amount. Rotate the wh�te ball wh�ch l�es �n the bottle w�th the gas resource connected
and select the proper angle to ga�n a better atom�zat�on.
a. Open the cover of med�cal cup, and add atom�zat�on remedy that needed, then close the
cover.
b. Connect the jo�nt of atom�zat�on nozzle (or mask) w�th the cover of med�cal cup, and then

connect the other end of atom�zer connect�on tube w�th the atom�zat�on outlet and turn on
atom�zer.
c. Turn on the power of oxygen concentrator, and shut up flow meter, then �t �s ready for
atom�zat�on treatment.
d. Do clean the atom�zat�on dev�ces followed by the �nstruct�ons of the atom�zat�on dev�ces.
10 Alarms-Safety dev�ces
10.1 Alarms
a. Power fa�lure alarm: In case of a loss of ma�ns power or when the power cord �s not
plugged �nto the wall outlet, an aud�ble alarm �s act�vated w�th red �nd�cator on(8.1.1b ). The
troubleshoot�ng �s referred to 12 .
b. low&h�gh pressure alarm: There �s a pressure sensor on the ma�n board to check the
system pressure, when the pressure �s lower than 0.1Mpa,there �s an aud�ble alarm w�th
yellow �nd�cator on(8.1.1d ) and the oxygen concentrator �s st�ll work�ng; When the pressure
�s h�gher than 0.23Mpa,there �s an aud�ble alarm w�th red �nd�cator on(8.1.1c ) and the
oxygen concentrator �s stopped. The troubleshoot�ng �s referred to 12 .
c. Low oxygen concentrat�on alarm(OCSI): The oxygen concentrat�on w�ll r�se to the
normal level �n f�ve m�nutes of operat�on. When oxygen pur�ty �s
85%, the blue lamp
(8.1.1f ) �s on, when oxygen pur�ty �s <85%, red lamp �s on for aud�ble alarm, �nd�cat�ng low
pur�ty(8.1.1h). Refer to the troubleshoot�ng . Or call your suppl�er to serv�ce the dev�ce.
d. Temperature alarm: There �s a temperature sensor on the ma�n board to check the
�nternal temperature, when the temperature �s h�gher than 50°C �n the oxygen concentrator,
there �s an aud�ble alarm w�th red �nd�cator on(see H.T. on the lamp) and the oxygen
concentrator w�ll be stopped. The troubleshoot�ng �s referred to 12 .
10.2 Safety dev�ces
a. Compressor motor:
Thermal safety �s ensured by a thermal sw�tch s�tuated �n the motor w�nd�ng(145±5℃).
b. Safety valve:
Th�s �s f�tted on the compressor outlet and �s cal�brated to 2.5 bar(250kPa).

11 Ma�ntenance
:D�sconnect the power cord from the electr�cal outlet before you clean the cab�net.
:Do not operate the concentrator w�thout the f�lters �nstalled, or wh�le f�lters are wet.
These act�ons could permanently damage the concentrator.
NOTE: If legally b�nd�ng regulat�ons govern the �nstallat�on, serv�ce and/or the operat�on of
the product, �t �s the respons�b�l�ty for the operator to observe and follow these regulat�ons.
NOTE: Mod�fy�ng the product �s not perm�tted.
11.1. Clean the whole body: In the cond�t�on of power off, make a clean for the outs�de
body by soft towel w�th l�ttle m�ld household cleaner, and then w�pe �t up w�th dry towel,
once or tw�ce per month.

11.2. Clean a�r f�lter: It �s a cr�t�cal step for da�ly ma�ntenance to clean �ntake a�r f�lter an
�nterval about 300 hours.
Deta�l steps: remove the two �ntake a�r f�lters on both s�des of the body, clean them w�th m�ld
household cleaner and clean �t w�th clean water completely, get r�de of extra water and dry
up naturally, f�nally set back after dry up, as shown �n F�gure 9.

11.3. Clean secondary f�lter
Clean secondary f�lter an �nterval about 800 hours, open the top cover and take out storage
case,Rotate the a�r f�lter w�th counterclockw�se d�rect�on as F�gure 10,take down the f�lter
cloth, then clean �t w�th detergent, and then clean �t out w�th clean water completely, get r�d
of the extra water, and dry �t naturally, f�nally set back after dry up.

11.4. Clean the hum�d�f�er (�f the hum�d�f�er �s prescr�bed by a phys�c�an)
Da�ly:
- Empty the water from the hum�d�f�er.
- R�nse the hum�d�f�er flask under runn�ng water.
- F�ll hum�d�f�er up to the mask w�th d�st�lled water.
Regularly:
- D�s�nfect the hum�d�f�er parts by �mmers�ng them �n a d�s�nfectant solut�on(�n general, we
recommend us�ng water conta�n�ng a small amount of chlor�ne bleach).
- R�nse and dry.
- Check that the hum�d�f�er l�d seal �s �n good cond�t�on.
11.5. Clean Oxygen tub�ng and nasal cannula
Follow the manufacturer’s �nstruct�ons
11.6. Replacement of fuse tube
Remove the cover of fuse, wh�ch �s �n the appl�ance �nlet, d�smantle the fuse tube off by
small screwdr�ver. Close the cover of fuse after fuse tube �s replaced.
The other fuse tube �s located at the �ntake of �nternal power l�ne; the method of
replacement �s the same w�th that above.

12 Troubleshoot�ng
If your concentrator fa�ls to operate properly, please refer to the troubleshoot�ng chart on the
follow�ng pages for probable causes and solut�ons. If problems w�th the equ�pment cont�nue,

NOTE: If the un�t has not been used for an extended t�me per�od, �t needs to operate for
