Assemble and Connect
1. Open cover and remove all packing material. Close the cover until you
hear it click into place.
2. Connect the scanner to the computer by using the bundled USB
cable and AC adapter.
Install Software
1. Insert the product DVD or download and run your product’s software
package.

2. Execute DocAction II and check scanner connection. You can start
scanning now.

Scan a Document
1. Fan the stack of paper well to avoid paper jams and misfeeds.

2. Load your original facedown, top edge rst.
3. Double-click the Quick Scan button to quickly scan
through the simplify settings dialog.
Adjust Source, DPI, Color Mode and Save Path, then click Scan button.
The application starts automatically and your document is scanned.
Customizing your scan prole
1. Double-click New button. Set Prole Name and Filename Format.
2. Congure saving destination, scan settings, and choose your le
format. Click OK to complete the settings.
3. Double-click the job button you created to start scanning, or you can
drag the buttons to the left for shortcut.

Software tutorials

Add index to lename
Adding Index/Tags can help you locate les quickly. Simply congure it
under ‘Filename’ and select ‘Add Index to Filename’ to setup.
After scanning, you’ll be able to crop or manually type the words as your
index. Note: maximum 12 characters allowed per index eld.
The lename will be saved as the Example shown.
Click to open FTS Manager.
Full Text Search
Full Text Search ensures that you can search not only the keyword and
lename, but also the document content.
Click to open FTS Manager.
* Search by lename or index
Select File Name as the search format, enter the keyword in the
blank space to search, double-click the highlighted le to open.
* Search by keyword or full text content
Select Full Text to search, enter keyword to locate les and access.
If ‘le not exist’ message box pops-up, the le may have been changed
or removed from the folder.
Change OCR language
or stop FTS
Right-click DocAction II icon under system tray and select FTS service.
Note: Modication applies from the next scan batch.

Troubleshooting
FAQ 1: The colors of the scanned images are strange.
Solutions:
Calibrate and clean the scanner if colors of the scanned image vary a lot.

FAQ 2: Resolving paper jam.
Solution:
Open the ADF cover, gently but rmly pull the jammed documents out
of the ADF.
