SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
CLIK uses a magnet placed in the upper part of the device which is useful for fixing it to the clip to the rail and it
is also used to make the recovery from the water easy, by means of the magnetic boat hook MHOOK e . Magnets
can affect the functioning of implanted pacemakers and defibrillators.
WARNING: KEEP CREDIT CARDS, DEBIT CARDS, IT DEVICES, MECHANICAL WATCHES, HEARING AIDS
AND OTHER SENSITIVE TO MAGNETIC FIELDS DEVICES AT A SAFE DISTANCE OF MORE THAN 30 CM
FROM THE MAGNET. EVEN PERSONS WITH PACEMAKER HAVE TO KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE OF MORE
THAN 30 CM FROM THE MAGNET.
During sailing, never leave CLIK hooked to the holder to the rail: excessive oscillations may cause the buoy to
uncouple, with its possible loss in the sea or damage. Remove the support from the rail and place it on the top of
the buoy (as supplied into the package) to neutralize most of the magnet's magnetic field. Then place the buoy in a
locker, always at a safe distance of at least 2 meters from the on board compass.

The autonomy varies according
to the time of immersion of the
buoy, refer to the table to get
an avarage indication of the
useful cycles with fully
charged battery.
(1) Consecutive maximum
cycles without solar recharge
considering an immersion time
of 2 hours;
(2) CLIK can only use
solar energy to recharge. When
it is exposed to sunlight it
recharges itself autonomously
thanks to its solar cells.
(3)
16 hours of sunshine are enough to recharge the battery if it is completely empty. Average charging time with completely
empty battery considering an average daily insolation of 1000W / Mq. When it is unused for more than 2 minutes, the buoy
enters the energy saving mode, emitting an acoustic signal and a blue flash one for 1 ".
When fully charged, CLIK can be stored in a locker and will retain its charge for a period of more than 6 months,
ready to be reused. CLIK uses a coded and univocal transmission system that allows the ascent when called up, has
a microprocessor that provides control of its peripherals, including:
Pressure sensor: detects the depth of seabed and self regulate according to that.
Motion sensor: detects motion, entering energy savings when CLIK is not used.
Water sensor: detects when it is submerged, turning on automatically.

WARNINGS
CAUTION: IN ABSENCE OF THE IDENTIFICATITY CARD, OF THE RECEIPT OR OF THE PURCHASE
INVOICE PME MARE WILL NOT PROCEED WITH THE DUPLICATION OF THE TRANSMISSION MODULE
HOLDED INTO MHOOK-E.
Clik is set up to be used at a depth between 2.5 and 8 meters; pressure sensor detects at which depth it is
immersed. In case of use on higher depths, extend the tape – mooring line joint with a rope. (page 3)
CAUTION: USING CLIK ON SHALLOW WATER, PAY ATTENTION TO THE DANGER THAT PROPELLERS,
STERN DRIVE AND DRIFTS DO NOT COLLIDE WITH THE BUOY, DAMAGING IT IRREMEDIABLY.
The manufacturer declines all responsibility and invalidates the warranty for damage to the device caused by
contact with propellers, stern drive and any other body. If the maximum depth of 10 meters is exceeded for more
than 30 seconds, the device goes into protection and its operation is deactivated. When it is switched on again, it
will emit a visual and acoustic signal indicating that it is deactivated: see the diagnostic chapter (page 6). In this
case the validity of the guarantee is automatically canceled. The device must be delivered to the service center for
verification and restoration of operation; in case of temporary exceeding of the maximum depth of 10 meters
CLIK will release its 8,5 m of tape partially surfacing, in order to protect itself from over pressure.
In the event of accidental falls or blows, check carefully that there are no cracks or fractures on the surface, in this
case request assistance from the service center and do not immerse the device in water for any reason in order not
to further compromise its operation. Do not force the self wrapping tape over the red limit switch, otherwise you
risk compromising the internal mechanisms. Any repair operation must be carried out at the Pme Mare service
center through your local dealer.
SETTING
CLIP TO THE RAIL
Install the magnetic clip on the rail, securing it with 2 of the 4 rubber
rings supplied. Choose the rings with a smaller diameter for a rail
diameter from 20 to 30mm, or the larger ones for rails with a tube
diameter of more than 30mm.
Approach the upper part of CLIK
to the clip, it will automatically
couple thanks to the magnet.
Further secure CLIK using the safety tape: first fix the safety tape on the
rail, then insert the ribbon into the eyelet and turn it round itself.

BALLAST FOR THE MOORING LINE
CLIK needs at least 1.5Kg of ballast to get to the seabed; it has to be applied on the mooring line and be positioned at
a distance from the catenary junction point with the rope equal to or greater than the depth of the seabed. In case of
use on seabed less than 2.5 meters it is advisable to increase the ballast to prevent excessive movement of the buoy
or an accidental contact with the propellers due to the currents caused by the boat, pay close attention in this regard
For example, if you have 4
meters of seabed, the buoy
has to be fastened to the
mooring line at a distance
of at least 4 meters from the
catenary junction point with
the rope. It is not advisable
to reduce this distance. NB
In case of use in depths of
more than 8 meters,
lengthen the tape mooring
line joint with a rope,
otherwise CLIK will not re
emerge from the seabed.
TYPE A: (2 parts + screws) Install the ballast by connecting
the two halves with the mooring line and the string in the
middle (1), using the screws provided. (see image).
TYPE B: (1 part + clamps) pass the mooring line and the
string through the groove, and block with the supplied
clamps.
Once the correct positioning has been verified, insert the
supplied heat shrink sheath on the lead, heating it with a
lighter to make it adhere, leaving part of the connecting
string to escape.
(1) The connecting string will be used to connect the end of the CLIK self wrapping tape to the mooring line
whenever you leave the moorings. In case of use in areas subject to subsea currents or in less than 2.5 meters
seabed it is advisable to double the weight of the ballast to prevent CLIK from moving from the bottom due to the
current caused by the propellers.
FIRST SWITHING ON
RECHARGE THE BATTERY BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE INITIAL SWITCH-ON OPERATION, PLACING
THE DEVICE AT SUNLIGHT FOR AT LEAST 8 HOURS.
FIRST SWITCHING ON OF CLIK
The first switch on takes place only by immersing CLIK in water:
CLIK is delivered with a protection that prevents false ignitions
during transport; Immerse the buoy in water, it will turn on; after
2 minutes of inactivity it will switch off, emitting a BLUE light
and acoustic signal for 2 ".
Subsequently, to check CLIK's level of battery charge, carry out
the following procedure (with the buoy off):
(1) Turn the buoy upside down for at least 2 "
(2) Return the buoy vertically
The device in this position will be activated within 2 "and will
emit acoustic and luminous signals (corresponding to the battery
charge level); A subsequent continuous WHITE flash will
highlight the ignition status. After 2 minutes of inactivity it will
switch off, emitting a BLUE light and acoustic signal for 2 ".

CONNECTING
STRING

FIRST SWITHING ON OF THE SMART BOATHOOK MHOOK-E
MHOOK e contains the coded call system that allows CLIK to surface: MHOOK e
turns on when the magnetic clip is fully opened: initially it emits acoustic signals
indicating the battery charge level, followed by an Intermittent BEEP, lasting 40
seconds, to indicate the transmission of the recall code. Close the magnetic hook
to switch MHOOK-e off. With battery <5%, the recall code is no longer
transmitted.
The signal is sent via the emitter placed on the tip of MHOOK e: in this phase, the
tip must always remain in contact with the water to allow transmission of the
code to the buoy. Close the magnetic clip at the end of use to switch MHOOK-e
off. Flush the device with fresh water.
CALL SYSTEM CHECK
Use the following procedure to test the buoy call system by means of MHOOK e:
Switch CLIK on, by performing the following procedure:
(1) turn the buoy upside down for at least 2 ";
(2) bring the buoy back upright
In this position the device will be activated within 2 "and
will emit acoustic and luminous signals (corresponding to
the battery charge level); A subsequent continuous WHITE
flash will highlight the ignition.
Switch MHOOK e on, opening the magnetic clip, and
after the battery test, during the intermittent beep, place
the tip of MHOOK e on the sensitive area.
CLIK will respond with a series of BEEPs every time the
coded call issued by MHOOK e is received, and the tape
release system will be reset.
Warning: placing MHOOK e exactly in the sensitive area
is essential for the success of the test.
REPLACING MHOOK-e BATTERIES
MHOOK e is designed to have a battery life of a few years before changing them, however when the battery level
is <25%, it is advisable to replace them.
WARNING: ALWAYS REPLACE THE BATTERIES WHEN LEVEL IS <5% (LONG BEEP) IN ORDER TO AVOID
POSSIBLE LOSS OF ACID WITH CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE TO THE INTERNAL CIRCUITS. BATTERIES TO BE
REPLACED ONLY BY EXPERT PERSONNEL, OR AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER, CONSULT YOUR DEALER.
Procedure for replacing batteries. In sequence perform the following steps:
(1) Unscrew the 2 screws: Use a screwdriver with Torx T15
insert
(2) Remove the rod: Pay attention to the electronic circuit. If it
is present, remove the heat shrink tube protecting the circuit.
(3)Replace the batteries: use high quality alkaline batteries.
Insert a new heat shrinker if it was present.
Proceed with reassembling the rod, taking care to insert the
control circuit inside it.
To facilitate the sliding of the bar, it is advisable to grease the
rubber gasket with silicone grease. Make the screw holes
coincide, and retighten. Tightening torque 1N.
CAUTION: DESPITE MHOOK-e IS COMPLETELY WATERPROOF IMMERSE ONLY ITS TIP TO ALLOW THE
SENDING OF CALL SIGNAL. DO NOT EXERCISE AN EXCESSIVE FORCE ON THE ARPION THAT COULD CAUSE
THE INPUT OF WATER INSIDE THE DEVICE WITH CONSEQUENT DAMAGE.

WAY OF USE
RELEASE OF THE MOORINGS
If the level of Clik's battery charge is
unknown, carry out the procedure
described on page 3 (Initial lighting of the clik buoy). CLIK has water
sensor that allows the ignition when the buoy comes on contact with
water even without performing the ignition procedure described above.
WARNING: IF THE BATTERY LEVEL IS TOO LOW (<5%) THE
BUOY WILL NOT TURN ON.
Connect the end of the CLIK self wrapping tape to the connecting string
(previously interposed between lead and mooring lin) using the carabiner.
mmerse the buoy in an upside down position always driving it into
the water through the mooring line (1), by grabbing it from the
connection between snap hook and ribbon (see photo on the side) to
avoid forcing the internal mechanisms. Complete the procedure
leaving the moorings.
(1) This operation prevents the mooring line from positioning above CLIK and hindering its ascent.
COMING BACK TO BERTH
When mooring, once fixed the ropes over the boat stern , call CLIK using MHOOK e:
To send the code open the magnetic clip
completely: MHOOK e will emit a series
of acoustic signals corresponding to the
battery charge level; then, it will start
transmitting the code, (intermittent
BEEP) for a duration of 40 seconds, then
it will switch off.
Within this period, dip the tip of MHOOK e into the water, and hold it
immersed until CLIK comes up. If you have a sounder, turn it off to
avoid possible interference.
INFO: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT MHOOK-e ARE
AVAILABLE IN THE FIRST IGNITION SECTION, PAGE 4
CLIK will come up to the surface near the bow of your boat emitting a
flashing WHITE/BLUE color light signal. Recover CLIK with the
magnetic clip of MHOOK e coupled to the special magnet placed on the
top of the buoy. Place CLIK on the magnetic clip to the rail, securing it
with the safety tape
Proceed with the recovery of the self
wrapping tape connected to the mooring
line. Once the rope has been recovered,
unfasten CL K from the rope through
the snap hook, and finish the mooring.
Recover the tape only by manual action:
the recovery through the use of the winch
may damage the tape and break the eyelet,
for exceeding its maximum capacity equal
to 120kg.
It is recommended to rinse CLIK with fresh water after each use; You can leave it temporarily attached to the clip
to the rail, allowing the battery to be recharged, or placed in a locker, ready for later use. After 2 minutes of
inactivity the buoy will turn off. Always wait until the buoy is off before using it again. In case you need to recover
the buoy manually when immersed (through the mooring line for example), it will automatically turn off emitting a
RED color light signal.
5
TEST CLIK AT FIRST USE TO CHECK THE PROPERNESS OF THE
INSTALLATION BEFORE RELEASING THE MOORINGS

DIAGNOSTICS
CLIK uses the following light and sound signals for diagnostics:
ERROR REPORT AND PROBLEM SOLVING
1=> Error indicating a temporary malfunction of the belt release system but the buoy continues to operate correctly.
If the signal persists over time, a revision is necessary, as problems may arise in the ascent. n the event that Clik
releases the tape when it is switched off, proceed with the reset operation: turn the buoy on and do not
submerge it, wait for it to turn off (about 2 minutes).
2=> Error indicating that the pressure sensor has not been calibrated (it comes on at power up after the indication
of the battery charge level) After this error the buoyer turns off. Repeat the power up operation, if the error persists,
contact the service center.
3=>Error indicating incompatible minimum depth of the seabed, less than 1.2 meters. Use the buoy at higher
depths.
4 => Error indicating the exceeding seabed maximum depth, greater than 10 meters. If the buoy exceeds this
depth it enters protection mode. Contact the service center. In case of temporary exceeding of the maximum depth
of 10 meters CLIK will release its 8,5 m of tape partially surfacing, in order to protect itself from over pressure.
5 => Error indicating the need to reset the belt release system or water inside the buoy (occurs at power on after the
indication of battery charge level). After this error, the buoy automatically attempts to reset the belt release system,
issuing at the end a WHITE color continuous flash. If the operation is not successful, the buoy turns off by emitting
a RED light signal. In this case do not use the buoy and contact the service center as soon as possible. This error
can also occur as a result of an accidental collision, which can cause water infiltration.
THE BUOY IS CALLED BUT IT DOES NOT RE-EMERGE: CAUSE AND RESOLUTION
Clik turned off => Recharge CLIK in the sun at least 8 hours before using again
MHOOK e batteries off => Replace MHOOK e battery
The echo sounder disturbs the recall code => Turn off your echo sounder
MHOOK e sends the call code last => Turn MHOOK e on and quickly immerse the tip
Mooring line positioned above the buoy => Remove the obstacle
CLIK does not completely re emerge => Seabed > 8,5m, extend the tape with a rope (page 3)
MAINTENANCE
CLIK is free of components subject to wear. Do not clean the device using aggressive chemicals and degreasers.
Rinse CLIK with fresh water after each use. Keep the solar cells clean for better battery charging efficiency. Dry
the buoy before storing it inside the boat. Contact your dealer in case of failure. Do not intervene on the device for
any reason.

USAGE RESTRICTIONS
Before use, make sure that you meet the requirements for the safe installation of CLIK :
SEABED DEPTH:
The depth of the seabed must be between 1.2 meters and 8 meters, at low tide. Lower depths will
prevent the use of CLIK buoy, higher depths require an extension to be placed between the self wrapping
tape and the mooring line.
IMPORTANT
FIRST USE
RECHARGE THE BUOY AND ONLY AFTER, MAKE THE FIRST IGNITION!
Expose the CLIK for at least 8 hours in direct sunlight for partial recharging of the battery.
BALLAST TO SINK THE BUOY:
Thanks to a 1.5kg ballast (supplied into the package) to be applied to the the mooring line, CLIK will lay
on the seabed (Setting page 2). In case of use on seabed less than 2.5 meters it is advisable to increase
the ballast to prevent excessive movement of the buoy or an accidental contact with the propellers due to
the currents caused by the boat, pay close attention in this regard.
