TO ENSURE BETTER PERFORMANCE
▼Position microphone six inches from mouth.
▼Check battery condition indicator before using.
▼Fully extend softwire antenna.
▼Turn Transmitter off when not in use.
▼Keep the wireless Transmitter and Receiver within line of site if possible.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
▼Depressing any mute button on the SoundStation or the SoundStation EX (keypad or extended
microphone) will mute the wireless microphone as well.
▼Talking into the wireless microphone will be heard by the far end party but will not be heard
through SoundStation’s speaker.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
If the Wireless Microphone is not working, check the following:
▼Ensure that the Receiver is ON.
▼Ensure that the Transmitter is ON.
▼Check to see if the Low Battery LED (3) is illuminated on the Transmitter. If so, replace the
9 V battery.
▼Ensure that the Signal LED (4) on the Receiver is illuminated. If the Signal LED is OFF, move
the Transmitter closer to the Receiver. If the Signal LED still does not turn ON, the Mute
Adjustment must be modified. To adjust the Mute, simply insert a small flathead screwdriver
into the Mute Adjustment socket and turn until the signal light turns ON.

Transmitter
5. Open the Transmitter’s battery cover and place the included 9 V battery into the BATTERY
COMPARTMENT (4).
6. Turn on the Transmitter by pushing the TRANSMITTER ON/OFF Switch (2) to the ON
position. The Low Battery LED (3) will give a quick flash. In the case of a low or dead
battery, the LED will stay on continuously or will not go on at all indicating a battery voltage
below 7 V. If this occurs, replace the battery.
7. Clip the Transmitter to a belt or place in a pocket.
8. Attach the MICROPHONE (5) at chest level. (Do not place too close to mouth - a distance of six
inches is recommended).
9. When ready to speak, turn on the microphone by pushing the Transmitter’s AUDIO ON/OFF
Switch (1) to the ON position.
10. To mute the microphone, push the Transmitter’s AUDIO ON/OFF Switch (1) to the OFF
position.
