NOTE: Avoid places subject to rapid changes in temperature and
humidity. Also keep the printer away from direct sunlight and heat
sources. Ideal operating conditions are 20oC temperature and
55% humidity.

First remove the top carton cover of the carton box. Then remove the
cardboard honeycomb sheets. Continue with the side carton cover.

Remove the wooden protective
structure, using a standard
screwdriver.

Shortee2is compatible with
Polyprint's Uni Stand. If the stand
is not available, prepare a at,
stable surface with dimensions of
at least 700x700 mm. The surface
should be capable of supporting
more than 95kg.

To lift the printer you will need four people. Lift the printer and position it
carefully on the suitable chosen surface.

Remove the yellow safety bar and store it at a safe place.

Remove the blue security tapes from the TexJet®shortee² covers.

NOTE:Do not throw it away, you will need it when transporting
the printer.
NOTE:Do not move the table tray fast.

Attach Snap On Platen on the TexJet® shortee² Tower.
Printer Setup
Connect the Emergency Stop
Button On the left side of the printer.

NOTE: Check that the source voltage is the same as the rated
voltage, listed on the SN – Rating plate. If the availabel power
source is different from the TexJet®shortee² AC rating, do not
connect it to the power source.

Connect the power cord. Turn on the blue switch on the left side of the
printer.

Shake the ink bottles for 1 minute each.

Remove the rubber seal from each cartridge and use the funnel provided
to ll it with its respective ink

NOTE:
Level must not exceed the max indication on the cartridge side.

CAUTION:
Fill them slowly as each cartridge has many chambers.

Put back only the rubber seal that holds the ink. Make sure air supply is
not sealed.
| 04_STEP
Use a syringe to remove air from the cartridge. Hold it as shown in the
picture at next page and pull ink until cartridge lter is full of ink.

When printer is on Ready Status,
connect Texjet®shortee2 from the
USB labeled port of the printer, to
the PC. Open the Digital Factory
Apparel Polyprint Edition and select
Printer Status and Settings from
the top bar.

Press the power button and select the desired language.

Install cartridges in the correct
socket and close the cover.

NOTE: Follow DFA v10 installation guide for proper installation
of the software.

Press AUTO on the lower panel to set the platen at optimum distance
from the head. When nished, press Start Position Button or Blue
Button to send table inside.

Press the power button and select the desired language.

Click on the Initial Charge to start
the Ink charge procedure.
Perform Nozzle Test
Insert one of the transparent sheets
that come with the printer on the left
corner of the 27x40cm platen.

NOTE:
If Limit light turns red, lower the table by pressing the DOWN
button, until it turns off and press Start Position Button. When the
platen is inside, a READY TO PRINT indication should be displayed
on the Platen Control panel.
NOTE:If the Blue Led Button is on, the tray is not in printing position.

NOTE: If there are still gaps or missing lines in the pattern, please
refer to the Quick User Guide for instructions on cleaning the Print
Head.
Tap on the Settings button on the
top panel. Tap Maintenance, Print
Head Nozzle Check and Print.

Check the pattern. If there are no gaps nozzles are clean.

If there are gaps in the pattern, perform a Head Cleaning.

Select the Settings Menu, tap Maintenance and Head Cleaning option.

Ink & Pretreatment Storage
White, CMYK inks, Cleaning solutions and Pretreatments should be
stored at a dry place with room temperature ranging between 10-40oC.
Recommended temperature: 20oC.
Before moving the TexJet®shortee² to other position, empty the
maintenance tank from the remaining waste and lock the platen tower,
by using the yellow safety bar.
