VGA Auto-Switching Presentation Switcher
The PS110 Presentaon Switcher is an electronic device that allows up to 3 HDMI and 1 VGA
“source” devices, such as a laptop computer and Sony® BluRay™ player, to share user-supplied
content on a single HDMI display, such as a high resoluon LCD display panel or a LED projector
(e.g. “output”). In addion to simple HDMI source device selecon, the selected source device’s
audio is extracted and output on two (2) RCA connectors (le/right) designed for local sound
amplificaon. Finally, the system auto-switches to a new source when it is connected or pow-
ered on.

To display a new source, press the Source Selector buon on the Front of the PS110 repeatedly
unl the LED on the Acve Source Indicator corresponds to the desired Source Port Selecon.
That image should now be visible on the Display Output and can be heard on the Stereo Audio
Output connectors.
Note: Selecng an input for a source that is not physcially connected will cause the output
display to indicate that the signal has been lost or disconnected.

From the IR Remote controller, shown below, select the Right or Lebuons unl the desired
Source is selected. If the front panel is viewable, you will see the Acve Source Indicator change
when each buon is pressed.

Most source devices send an electronic inquiry to the display asking
for informaon about it’s capabilies. The display sends a table of
informaon called the Extended Display Idenficaon Data (EDID).
Using this informaon, the source device changes it’s resoluon to
match the nave resoluon of the display or some other resoluon
that is supported by both source and display.
The PS110 intercepts the display’s response to the EDID table request and sends its own EDID
informaon to “trick” the source into sending it’s content in a parcular resoluon and/or audio
format. This method allows us to change the resoluon of the source device without reprocess-
ing the video image and degrading the quality of the nave image.
The EDID Resoluon Select rotary dial can the modified using a standard screw driver to change
the EDID table informaon being sent to the source device.
Position EDID Format
0 Copies the EDID information from the display and makes it available for quick
access to all Source Devices. Information is extracted at the time the PS110
is powered up. The display must be powered but does not necessarily need to
be operating in order to obtain the display information. (DEFAULT)
1 Verify EDID Copy. Press and hold Source Selector button for 3 seconds. If
all four Active Source Indicators fl ash one time, EDID copy (option 0 above)
was successful and is present on all HDMI ports. If the indicators fl ash 3 times
then the PS110 failed to copy EDID information from the display.
