1. Introduction
1.1. Preface

Read and observe the operating instructions carefully before use.

1.2. Obligations of the personnel
Before they start to work, all persons who are entrusted to work with the SPRAYFIxx-solvent PLUS are
obliged:
– to follow all applicable regulations on occupational safety and accident prevention.
– to read and to comply with all safety instructions and warning notes contained in these operating
instructions.
Please observe the following instructions in the interest of all concerned:
Refrain from any unsafe working methods!
Adhere to all hazard and warning notes contained in this manual!
In addition to this documentation, keep to all generally accepted safety rules, legal provisions as
well as all other binding rules regarding occupational safety, accident prevention and environmental
protection!
Wear appropriate protective clothing in accordance with the work to be done!
Perform only work for which you have been suciently trained and instructed!
Only genuine spare parts as well as original tools and auxiliaries of the manufacturer are allowed to be
used in order to ensure the functional safety and maintain the warranty coverage.

1.3.1. Structure of the safety notes
The warning notes have the following structure:

Depending on the danger level, dierent signal words are used:

2. Intended conditions of use
The SPRAYFIxx-solvent PLUS sprayer is an indispensable tool for workshop and painting applications in
industry and trade. Particularly suitable for spraying acetone-based solvents and hydrocarbon- or acetone-
based brake cleaners.
Applications:
Removal of grease, dirt, brake dust and oily deposits in dicult-to-access areas, for example for
cleaning and servicing drum or disc brakes.
Very suitable for the preparation of surfaces to be painted.
Applicable for a great variety of solvents.
For degreasing and cleaning, without harmful propellants, reusable.
Not allowed to be used in the food industry.
Only genuine replacement parts are to be used for any repairs, because otherwise the warranty will be
invalidated.
The user is liable for any damage resulting from non-intended use.
Tested media with ingredients:
Power Max brake cleaner (solvents, alcohols, ketones); Car1 cold cleaner (butyl glycol, EDTA, natrium
cumene sulfonate, potassium cumene sulfonate, non-ionic surfactants); Car1 brake cleaner (n-hexane,
benzene); Weicon brake cleaner (propane-2-ol, acetone, naphta); CRC Brakleen brake cleaner (naph-
ta, acetone, propane-2-ol); Hofer Chemie isopropyl (isopropyl, alcohol); Würth acetone cleaner
(acetone); Würth silicone remover (hydrocarbons, n-alcane, isoalcane); Würth brake cleaner (hydro-
carbons, n-alcane, isoalcane, n-hexane); Würth nitro thinner (methyl acetate, acetone, hydrocarbons,
xylene, ethyl benzene, 2-methyl-1propanol, methanol); E-Coll universal cold cleaner (white spirit);
E-Coll turpentine substitute (aliphatic hydrocarbons).
2.1. Reasonably foreseeable misuse
Do not use with acidic or alkaline uids.
3. Risks in handling acetone-based solvents
Acetone-based solvents are harmful to health and are only allowed to be used in well-ventilated spaces
or outdoors. They are partly highly ammable and dangerous to the environment. This must be also
taken into consideration regarding the storage.
CAUTION
Avoid skin and eye contact!
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean
water and seek medical advice!
When using the SPRAYFIxx-solvent PLUS, wear suitable protective
equipment such as safety gloves and eye guards!
Keep at hand and observe the material data safety sheet.

5. Assembly
The SPRAYFIxx-solvent PLUS is delivered fully assembled.
6. Commissioning
Prior to commissioning, check the SPRAYFIxx for proper assembly and ensure that there is no apparent
damage.
Take out the pump, pay attention to the maximum lling volume and ll the container.
Press the lever several times until the pump builds up pressure.
The SPRAYFIxx-solvent PLUS is now ready for use.
7. Care/maintenance
After use, empty the device. Never leave the spray uid in the device. Unscrew the pump and empty the
device. Use an appropriate agent to clean the device and rinse it with clean water.
NOTE
Do not use hot water for ushing the device (max. 30 °C).
Do not use hard objects to clean the nozzle and do not blow it through with your
mouth. It is better to use a hand brush or a tooth brush.
8. Troubleshooting
All position numbers indicated in the following table relate to gure 11.-1, refer to chapter 11.

9. Disposal
The operating company is responsible for the proper disposal of the SPRAYFIxx-solvent PLUS.
Dispose of the dierent materials in accordance with all industry-specic, local, regional and federal
regulations. Only qualied personnel is authorized to disassemble and dispose of the SPRAYFIxx-solvent PLUS.
10. Repair/service
The SPRAYFIxx-solvent PLUS was developed and produced according to the highest quality standards.
