INTRODUCTION
The 7 in. Portable Tile Saw is as easy to carry as a suitcase. Quick to set up on any flat surface, the saw is ready in
minutes for use to make 90°rip cuts, 0 to 45° angle cuts and 22-1/2°, 30° and 45° mitre cuts on both the right
and left.
FUNCTIONS
Detachable blade guard is designed for quick blade installation. The right cutting table has a built-in water reservoir
for cooling the blade. The water reservoir contains a side overflow hole to ensure the proper water level. The power
cord and rip guide can be stored in bottom storage to prevent loss or damage to the accessories.

PERSONAL SAFETY
CAUTION! Wear protective equipment approved by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) or American
National Standards Institute (ANSI) when using the tool.
1. Head Protection
a. Always wear impact safety goggles that provide front and side protection for the eyes.
b. Wear the appropriate rated dust mask or respirator.
c. Wear earplugs if the power tool or work environment is noisy.
d. Wear a full-face shield if your work creates metal filings or wood chips.
e. Wear a hard hat to protect your head from falling objects.
2. Gloves
a. The gloves should provide protection based on the work materials.
b. Wear suitable gloves to reduce the effects of vibration.
3. Protective Clothing
a. Wear protective clothing designed for the work environment and tool. Examples are electrical non-
conductive clothes or clothes treated to resist corrosive liquids or materials.
4. Foot Protection
a. Steel toe footwear or steel toe caps to prevent injury from falling objects.
b. Non-skid footwear is recommended to maintain footing and balance.
5. Control the tool, personal movement and the work environment to avoid personal injury or damage to tool. Stay
alert, watch what you are doing and use your common sense.
a. Keep articles of clothing, jewelry, hair, etc., away from moving parts to avoid entanglement with a tool.
b. Do not operate any machine/tool when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications.
c. Do not overreach when operating a tool. Proper footing and balance enables better control of a tool in
unexpected situations.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
WARNING! To reduce risk of electric shock, be certain that it is connected to a properly grounded receptacle.
1. Disconnect tool from power source before cleaning, servicing, changing parts/ accessories or when not in use.
2. Protect yourself against electric shocks when working on electrical equipment. Avoid body contact with
grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cooking stoves and refrigerators. There is an increased chance of
electrical shock if your body is grounded.
3. Do not disconnect the power cord in place of using the ON/OFF switch on the tool. This will prevent an
accidental startup when the power cord is plugged into the power supply.
4 Make certain that power source conforms to requirements of your equipment (see Specifications).
5. DO NOT use this device with a 2-prong wall receptacle.
a. Choose an available 3-prong power outlet.
b. Replace 2 prong outlet with a grounded 3-prong receptacle, installed in accordance with the CE Code
and local codes and ordinances.
CAUTION! All wiring should be performed by a qualified electrician.

ELECTRIC POWER TOOL PRECAUTIONS
Warning! Immediately switch off the power tool if any of the following occurs:
• Malfunction of the plug, receptacle or damage to the power supply cord.
• The switch or trigger is broken.
• User sees or smells smoke.
• The user smells the odor of scorched insulation.
• A safety guard moves stiffly and/or doesn’t return to the safe position.
• The cutting wheel wobbles.
1. Make sure the power switch is in the OFF position before connecting the tool to the power supply.
2. Never use a tool with a cracked or worn cutting wheel. Replace the cutting wheel.
3. Do not start the tool if the cutting wheel is touching the workpiece.
4. Before using the tool on a workpiece, test the tool by running it at the highest no-load speed for at least 30
seconds in a safe position. Stop immediately if there is any abnormal vibration or wobbling that could indicate
poor installation of the cutting wheel. Check the tool to determine the cause.
5. Prevent the tool’s motor from overloading or overheating by taking breaks to allow the heat to dissipate.
6. When the tool is in operation, keep hands away from the cutting.
7. Do not use the tool on any material containing asbestos.
8. Do not touch the cutting wheel or the surface that has been cut with this tool immediately after use. The surface
will be hot and may cause an injury.
9. Do not allow persons who are not familiar with the tool or have not read these instructions to use the tool.
POWER CORD
1. Insert the power cord plug directly to the power supply whenever possible.
a. Use extension cords only when the tool’s power cord cannot reach a power supply from the work area
(see Extension Cord).
2. Do not operate this tool if the power cord is frayed or damaged as an electric shock may occur, resulting in
personal injury/death or damage to the tool.
a. Inspect the tool’s power cord for cracks, fraying or other faults in the insulation or plug before each use.
b. Discontinue use if a power cord feels more than comfortably warm while operating the tool. Contact an
electrician or qualified person to replace the power cord.
3. Prevent damage to the power cord by observing the following:
a. Never use the cord to carry the tool.
b. Do not pull the plug from an outlet by the cord.
c. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
d. Do not allow people, mobile equipment or vehicles to pass over unprotected power cords.
i. Position power cords away from traffic areas.
ii. Place cords in reinforced conduits.
iii. Place planks on either side of the power cord to create a protective trench.
e. Do not wrap cord around tool as sharp edges may cut insulation or cause cracks if wound too tight.
Gently coil cord and either hang on a hook or fasten with a device to keep cord together when storing.

EXTENSION CORD
1. Use a single extension cord that is the correct length and gauge that matches or exceeds the amperage rating
of the tool. Using multiple extension cords, a cord that is too long or an insufficient gauge can cause the
following hazards:
a. Fire from overheating. Unroll the cord completely to prevent it from overheating and damaging
the insulation.
b. Electric shock from melting or damaging the cord’s insulation.
c. Underpowering the tool causing a functional failure, resulting in personal injury or damage the tool.
d. A cord that is too long may create a tripping hazard to others moving within the work area.
2. Use the tool without an extension cord whenever possible. Only use an extension cord as a temporary means
of reaching the power supply.
3. When operating a power tool outside, use an outdoor extension cord marked ‘W-A’ or ‘W’. These cords are
rated for outdoor use. Constructed of more durable materials, they can withstand temperature changes, UV light
(sunlight) and moisture, reducing the risk of electric shock.
4. Use in conjunction with a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI). If operating a power tool in a damp location
is unavoidable, the use of a GFCI reduces the risk of electric shock. It is recommended that the GFCI should
have a rated residual current of 30 mA or less.
LOW VOLTAGE
Low voltage may cause overheating due to higher power current being drawn to the tool that will shorten the
motor life.
An extension cord may cause a drop in power to the tool if too long or the amperage rating is not correct. This may
result in the following:
• The tool will not activate when switched on.
• The tool may switch on, but fails to maintain power when applied to a workpiece.
• The tool may overheat, possibly starting a fire.
Test the tool by plugging it directly to the power supply. If it powers on, change the extension cord with the correct
rating and as short as needed. The workpiece may also need to be relocated closer to the power supply.
KICKBACK PRECAUTIONS
Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched or snagged rotating wheel, backing pad, brush or other accessory. The
edge of the wheel enters the pinch point and digs into the material, kicking the workpiece out in the direction of the
accessory’s rotation.
Maintaining a firm grip on the workpiece and positioning your body and arms to resist the kickback.

SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. The 7 in. Portable Tile Saw contains a water basin to cool the cutting wheel. Several precautions are needed
to prevent the water from creating an electrical hazard. Water does collect on the cutting wheel and the tile-
cutting table as part of normal tool operation.
a. Do not fill water bath above the fill line (inside basin). Excess water may splash out as the cutting wheel
rotates through the bath, causing an electrical hazard.
b. To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or receptacle getting wet,
position the tile saw off to one side of a wall-mounted receptacle to prevent
water from dripping onto the receptacle or plug. The user should arrange
a ‘drip loop’ is that part of the cord below the level of the receptacle, or
connector if an extension cord is used, to prevent water traveling along the
cord and coming in contact with the receptacle.
c. DO NOT unplug the power supply cord if the plug or receptacle does get
wet. Disconnect the fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to the tool. Then, unplug the tool and
examine for presence of water in the receptacle.
2. Always keep the blade guard in the down position while operating the tile saw. If the blade guard does not
move freely or remains stuck in the open position, discontinue use until the guard is fixed.
3. Feed the workpiece into the cutting wheel against the direction of rotation. Keep hands away from the cutting
wheel. Brace the workpiece to prevent kickback.
4. Never leave the tool running unattended. Turn the power off and don’t leave the tool until it comes to a
complete stop.
TOOL USE AND CARE
CAUTION! Only use cutting wheels with a smooth edge free of openings and grooves.
1. Use the correct tool for the job. Do not force a tool or attachment to do the work of a larger industrial tool.
Maximize tool performance and safety by using the tool for its intended task.
2. This tool was designed for a specific function. Do not modify or alter this tool or use it for an
unintended purpose.
3. Securely hold this tool using both hands, unless it is designed for single hand use. Using a tool with only one
hand can result in loss of control.
4. Maintain tools with care (see Maintenance).
5. Remove adjusting keys and wrenches from the tool before operation or connecting it to a power source. A
wrench or key that is left attached to a rotating part of the tool increases the risk of personal injury.
6. Avoid unintentional starts. Be sure that the ignition switch is in the neutral or OFF position when not in use or
before connecting it to any power source.

UNPACKING
1. Carefully remove the parts and accessories from the box. Retain packaging material until you have carefully
inspected and satisfactorily installed or operated the tool.
2. Make sure that all items in the parts list are included.
3. Inspect the parts carefully to make sure the tools and accessories were not damaged while shipping.
WARNING! Do not operate the tool if any part is missing. Replace the missing part before operating. Failure to do
so could result in a malfunction and serious personal injury.
PARTS IDENTIFICATION

ASSEMBLY
NOTE: When this manual refers to a part number, it refers to the included parts list.
1. Placing The Blade
Place the blade (#11) onto the shaft, pushing it against the inner flange (#12). Make sure
the side of the blade with directional arrow is facing towards you. Next place the outer
flange (#10) and blade lock nut (#9) and tighten the nut with the enclosed wrench. Do
not over-tighten!
2. Placing The Blade Guard
Insert guard support into the socket. Make sure the support is parallel to the blade. Place
blade guards onto support and tighten wing nut (all components Part of Blade Guard
Set #1).
3. Place the Rip Guide (#3) on the top of the cutting table’s upper frame (#4) and clamp
both ends. Rip guide can be placed on both right and left side as desired.
4. Place the Mitre Guide (#2) onto the Rip Guide. The mitre guide is designed to attach to
the rip guide and can be used on the side the rip guide in installed on.

OPERATION
SETTING UP THE TILE SAW
1. Take out the rip guide and power supply cord from the bottom storage.
2. Detach the Blade guard, and then open the right cutting table to fill the reservoir with water
to the recommended level. Keep the water level with the basin lines.
3. Attach the blade guard above the blade and close the right cutting table. Now you are
ready to cut!
STEPS FOR RIP, ANGLE & MITRE CUTS
1. The edge of the cutting table (upper frame) is marked with rigid dimension in both
inches and centimeters for accurate cutting.
2. Align the tile with the proper guide. The cutting blade should be on the waste side of the
cutline to maintain the original measurement.
3. For 90° rip cuts, lean the material against the tile guide once it is in position, then push
the material forward to the blade.
4. For 0° to 45∘angle cuts, attach the mitre guide on the rip guide. Choose the degree you
want and tighten the adjustment knob. Then push the mitre guide and material together
forwards the blade to cut the material.
5. For bevel cuts raise the right cutting table to the desired angle, you can choose 22.5°, 30°,
and 45°. Put the two stands into the grooves to hold the cutting table in place. Place the
material face down onto the left cutting table and you are ready to cut.
OPERATION
CAUTION! Follow these steps before making the first cut:
• Check that the tile saw is unplugged from the power supply until ready to cut.
• Choose the correct cutting blade for the material to be cut. Check the specifications that come with the
cutting blade before selection.
• Always keep water level at the recommended level. Do not let the saw run dry!
1. Set the cutting blade depth to 1/8 in. beyond the material’s thickness.
2. Turn the tool on and check that the cutting blade isn’t wobbling and the water is contacting both sides of the
cutting blade.
3. Allow the cutting blade to achieve full speed before making the cut. Maintain a firm grip when the cutting blade
comes in contact with the workpiece to prevent kickback. Move the tile slowly in a straight line until the cut is
complete. Do not force the tile saw.

MAINTENANCE
WARNING! Do not service, clean, or maintain the tile saw without first turning off the motor and unplugging the tile saw
from its power source. Failure to do so may result in a serious injury to the operator.
1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient, easier to control and will prevent unnecessary
problems.
2. Always store the electrical cord underneath the saw after use.
3. Inspect the tool components periodically. Have damaged or worn components repaired or replaced by an
authorized technician.
4. Maintain the tool’s label and nameplate. These carry important information. If unreadable or missing, contact
Princess Auto Ltd. for replacements.
CAUTION! Only qualified service personnel should repair the tool.
LUBRICATION
Only use the lubricants supplied with the tool or specified by the manufacturer. Other lubricants may not be suitable
and may damage the tool or cause a malfunction during use.
STORAGE
When not in use for an extended period, apply a thin coat of lubricant to the steel parts to avoid rust. Remove the
lubricant before using the tool again.
DISPOSING OF TOOL
If your tool has become damaged beyond repair, do not throw it out. Bring it to the appropriate recycling facility.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
If the tool does not function properly or if it is missing parts, contact Princess Auto Ltd. for a solution. If unable to do so,
have a qualified technician service the tool.

INTRODUCTION
La scie à tuile portative de 7 po se transporte aussi facilement qu’une valise. Alors qu’elle s’installe rapidement sur
toute surface plane, la scie est prête en quelques minutes afin de procéder à des coupes de 90°, des coupes en angle
de 0 à 45° et des coupes à onglet de 22 1/2, 30 et 45° à droite et à gauche.
FONCTIONS
Le protecteur de lame amovible a été conçu afin qu’on puisse installer rapidement la lame. La table de coupe de
droite est munie d’un réservoir d’eau intégré afin de refroidir la lame. Le réservoir d’eau présente un orifice de trop-
plein pour assurer un niveau d’eau adéquat. Le cordon d’alimentation et le guide de refente peuvent être rangés dans
le compartiment de rangement inférieur afin d’empêcher la perte ou les dommages aux accessoires.

1. Protection de la tête

SÉCURITÉ EN ÉLECTRICITÉ

1. Déconnectez l’outil de la source d’alimentation avant le nettoyage, l’entretien, le remplacement de pièces ou

l’outil. Ceci permet d’éviter une mise en marche involontaire lorsque vous branchez le cordon d’alimentation
dans la prise électrique.
4. Assurez-vous que la source d’alimentation est conforme aux exigences de votre équipement
(consultez les spécifications).
5. N’utilisez PAS cet appareil avec une prise murale à 2 broches.
a. Choisissez une prise de courant libre à 3 broches.
b. Remplacez la prise à 2 broches par une prise à 3 broches mise à la masse, installée conformément au

PRÉCAUTIONS RELATIVES AUX OUTILS ÉLECTRIQUES
AVERTISSEMENT ! Arrêtez l’outil électrique immédiatement si une des conditions suivantes se produit :
• Dysfonctionnement de la fiche ou de la prise, ou cordon d’alimentation endommagé.
• L’interrupteur ou la gâchette est brisé.
• L’utilisateur voit ou sent de la fumée.
• L’utilisateur sent une odeur d’isolant qui roussit.
• Une protection de sécurité se déplace avec difficulté et/ou ne retourne pas en position sécuritaire.
• Le disque de coupe oscille.
1. Vérifiez que l’interrupteur d’alimentation soit sur « OFF » (arrêt) avant de brancher l’outil à la
source d’alimentation.
2. N’utilisez jamais un outil présentant un disque de coupe fissuré ou usé. Remplacez le disque de coupe.
3. Ne mettez jamais l’outil en marche si le disque de coupe est en contact avec la pièce de travail.
4. Avant d’utiliser l’outil sur une pièce, assurez-vous d’effectuer une vérification de fonctionnement de l’outil
au régime à vide le plus élevé pendant au moins 30 secondes dans une position sans danger. Arrêtez
immédiatement en présence d’une vibration anormale ou d’une oscillation quelconque qui pourraient indiquer
une mauvaise installation du disque de coupe. Examinez bien l’outil pour déterminer la cause du problème.
5. Évitez toute surcharge ou surchauffe du moteur en prenant des pauses afin de permettre à la chaleur
de se dissiper.
6. Lorsque l’outil est en cours de fonctionnement, n’approchez pas les mains de la zone de coupe.
7. Ne vous servez jamais de l’outil sur un matériau qui contient de l’amiante.
8. Ne touchez pas au disque de coupe ou à la surface coupée immédiatement après avoir achevé le travail. La
surface sera chaude et pourrait causer des blessures.
9. Ne permettez pas aux personnes ne connaissant pas l’outil ou n’ayant pas lu ces instructions d’utiliser l’outil.
CORDON D’ALIMENTATION
1. Autant que possible, insérez la fiche du cordon d’alimentation directement dans la prise électrique.
a. N’utilisez des rallonges que lorsque le cordon d’alimentation de l’outil est trop court pour atteindre la
source d’alimentation depuis l’aire de travail (consultez Rallonge).
2. N’utilisez pas cet outil si le cordon d’alimentation est effilé ou endommagé, car un choc électrique peut se
produire, ce qui pourrait causer des blessures, la mort ou des dommages à l’outil.
a. Avant chaque utilisation, inspectez le cordon d’alimentation de l’outil; vérifiez qu’il ne soit ni fissuré, ni
effiloché et que l’isolant et la fiche ne soient pas endommagés.
b. Arrêtez d’utiliser l’outil si le cordon d’alimentation est trop chaud au toucher. Contactez un électricien ou
une personne qualifiée pour faire remplacer le cordon d’alimentation.
3. Pour éviter tout dommage au cordon d’alimentation, observez les précautions suivantes :
a. N’utilisez jamais le cordon d’alimentation pour transporter l’outil.
b. Ne tirez jamais sur le cordon d’alimentation pour enlever la fiche de la prise.
c. Tenez le cordon à l’écart de la chaleur, de l’huile, des rebords coupants ou des pièces mobiles.
d. Veillez à ce que personne, ni aucun matériau mobile ou des véhicules n’écrasent les cordons
d’alimentation non protégés.
i. Disposez les cordons d’alimentation loin des zones de passage.
ii. Placez les cordons d’alimentation à l’intérieur de conduits renforcés.
iii. Placez des planches de chaque côté du cordon d’alimentation pour créer un couloir protecteur.
e. N’enroulez pas le cordon autour de l’outil car les bords tranchants risquent d’entailler l’isolant ou des
fissures peuvent se former sur le cordon s’il est enroulé trop serré. Enroulez délicatement le cordon et
suspendez-le à un crochet ou attachez-le sur un support pour qu’il reste enroulé pendant son rangement.
