The PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2-HY allows you to Push-to-Talk wirelessly over your HYTERA
BT enabled two-way radio when using a wireless headset.

Quick Start
STEP ONE: Charging the PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2-HY
The PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2-HY has an internal Lithium Ion rechargeable battery pack which must be
charged prior to operation, and must be recharged regularly. A fully charged battery should provide
more than 12 hours of operation before needing to be recharged.
To charge the PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2-HY:
* Ensure the PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2-HY is turned off, using the button located on the side of the
device.
* Plug the USB charge port on the bottom of the BT-PTT2-HY into any powered USB connector.
You will rst need to remove the protective rubber dust cover. (To prevent dust and moisture from
damaging your BT-PTT2-HY, always ensure this cover is in place when you are not charging the
device.)
* When charging, the LED on the BT-PTT2-HY will show a solid blue light. When the device is
done charging, the LED light will turn off.
* The PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2-HY takes approximately 4.5 hours to charge. Actual charge time
will vary depending on several factors including the battery’s charge state, condition, and age.
Charging Cautions:
- Use only a POWERED USB port for charging. Non-powered ports (such as on a USB hub)
will NOT work.
- Do not use a wall charger that appears to be damaged. (Example: frayed wires,
melted plastic, etc.)
- Do not tamper with or modify the PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2-HY or charger.
- Always turn the power switch to the Off position when charging the PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2-HY.

Pairing With an Audio Accessory
STEP TWO: Pairing the Wireless headset with the HYTERA two-way radio
To pair the wireless Wireless headset and two-way radio:
* Place the Wireless headset into pairing mode by following the instructions in the user's manual for
the Wireless headset.
* Follow the procedure described in the HYTERA radio user's guide enable the BT function.
* Follow the procedure described in the HYTERA radio user's guide to scan for nearby Wireless
headsets and connect the radio and headset.
* For further assistance, contact your HYTERA support or your two-way radio dealer.
STEP THREE: Pairing the BT-PTT2-HY and HYTERA two-way radio
* Place the PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2-HY in pairing mode by holding down the Push-To-Talk button
while turning the power on using the Power Button on the side of the device. Continue to hold
down the Push-To-Talk button until the LED indicator on the PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2 shows two blue
ashes every second. You can then release the Push-to-Talk button. The PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2 is
now in pairing mode.
* Follow the procedure described in the HYTERA radio user's guide enable the BT function.
* Follow the procedure described in the HYTERA radio user's guide to have the radio scan for
nearby BT PTT devices.
* On the radio, select the BT-PTT2-HY as the device to pair with. If the password is required,
enter"0000".
* Once the radio and PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2 are paired with each other, the status LED on the
PRYMEBLU Adapter will show a constant blue light for three seconds and the LED on the PTT
will show one blue ash every six seconds.
* If the PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2 does not detect a compatible wireless accessory within 60 seconds
of being put into pairing mode, the devices will exit the pairing mode and resume normal operation.

PRYME Radio Products warrants this product against defects in materials or workmanship for
a period of one year from the date of retail purchase. PRYME will repair or replace a defective
unit, at our option, without charge for parts or labor. The limited warranty is extended only to
the original purchaser and is valid only to consumers in the United States and Canada. It does
not cover damage or failure caused by or attributable to Acts of God, abuse, misuse, improper
or abnormal usage, faulty installation, improper maintenance, lightning, or other incidences of
excessive voltage, or any tampering or repairs by other than a PRYME authorized repair
facility. It does not cover replacement of consumable parts, transportation costs, or damage in
transit.
Repair or replacement under the terms of this warranty does not extend the terms of this
warranty. This warranty can only be modied by an ofcer of PRYME Radio Products, and
then only in writing. Should this product prove defective in workmanship or material, the
consumer’s sole remedies shall be such repair or replacement as provided by the terms of this
warranty. Under no circumstances shall PRYME Radio Products be liable for any loss or
damage, direct, consequential, or incidental, arising out of the use of or inability to use this
product. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the
exclusions or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or
exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specic legal rights.

STEP FOUR: Testing and Using the PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2-HY
After the Wireless headset and BT-PTT2-HY have been paired to the Hytera two-way radio,
* Turn on the HYTERA two-way radio and make sure that the BT feature is enabled.
* Turn on the Wireless headset. Within a few seconds the HYTERA two-way radio and
Wireless headset should connect to each other.
* Turn on the PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2-HY. The LED indicator on the PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2-HY
will ash rapidly. Within a few seconds the LED indicator will show one blue ash per second,
indicating that it is connected wirelessly to the HYTERA two-way radio.
*You will now be able to operate using the wireless accessories. Pressing the Push-to-Talk
button on the PRYMEBLU BT-PTT2-HY will cause the two-way radio to transmit. Transmit
audio will be picked up by the Wireless headset. Received signals will also be heard through
the Wireless headset’s earphone.
