1 YEAR WARRANTY
PERFORMANCE TOOL® extends only the following warranties, and only to original retail purchasers. These
warranties give specific legal rights. Except where prohibited by local law, the law of the State of Washington
governs all warranties and all exclusions and limitations of warranties and remedies. There may be other rights
which vary from state to state.
PERFORMANCE TOOL® warrants the product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal
use and service. A defective product may be returned for a free replacement within 90 days from the date of
purchase, provided that product is returned to place of purchase immediately after discovery of defect. After 90
days and up to one year from date of purchase, PERFORMANCE TOOL® will replace at no charge any parts which
our examination shall disclose to be defective and under warranty. These warranties shall be valid only when a sales
receipt showing the date of purchase accompanies the defective product or defective part (s) being returned. For
part (s) after 90 days, please remit your request, postage prepaid to:

These warranties exclude blades, bits, punches, dies, bulbs, fuses, hoses, and other consumables which must be
replaced under normal use and service. These warranties shall not apply to any product or part which is used for a
purpose for which it is not designed, or which has been repaired or altered in any way so as to affect adversely its
performance or reliability, nor shall these warranties apply to any product or part which has been subject to misuse,
neglect, accident or wear and tear incident to normal use and service.
PERFORMANCE TOOL® does not authorize any other person to make any warranty or to assume any liability in
connection with its products.
Except for warranties of title and the limited express warranties set forth above, PERFORMANCE TOOL® makes no
express or implied warranties of any kind with respect to its products. In particular, PERFORMANCE TOOL® makes
no implied warranty of merchantability and no implied warranty of fitness for any particular purpose, except that for
goods purchased primarily for personal, family or household use and not for commercial or business use,
PERFORMANCE TOOL® makes an implied warranty of merchantability (and, if otherwise applicable, an implied
warranty of fitness for a particular purpose), but only for the particular qualities or characteristics, and for the
duration, expressly warranted above.
The laws on limitation of implied warranties may differ from state to state, so the above limitations may not apply in
all cases.
PERFORMANCE TOOL® shall not be liable for consequential, incidental or special damages resulting from or in any
manner related to any product, or to the design, use, or any inability to use the product. The sole and exclusive
remedy for a defective product or part shall be the repair, or replacement thereof as provided above. The laws on
limitation of remedies or on consequential, incidental or special damages may vary from state to state, so the above
limitations may not apply in all cases.

UNPACKING AND INSPECTION
After opening the carton, unpack your new product and related parts and accessories. Please
inspect it carefully for any damage that may have occurred during transit. Please check it against
the photograph on carton. If any parts are missing, please call customer service at 1-800-426-1262
between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Pacific time.
WARNING: DO NOT operate this product if damaged during shipment, handling or misuse.
Do not operate the product until the parts have been replaced or the fault rectified. Failure to do
so may result in serious personal injury or property damage. All damaged parts must be repaired
or replaced as needed prior to operating this product. Check to see that all nuts, bolts and fittings
are secure before putting this product into service.
If you have any questions, or require assistance with damaged or missing parts, please contact
our customer service department at 1-800-426-1262. Please have the serial number, model
number, and date of purchase available for reference when calling.

the press immediately and inspect it thoroughly
2. Use this press for the purpose for which it is intended. Do not use it for any
other purpose it is not designed to perform.
3. DO NOT allow untrained persons to operate the press.
4. Removeillttingclothing.Removeties,watches,ringsandotherloose
jewelry, and contain long hair.
5. Wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles, full-face impact safety shield
and heavy-duty work gloves when operating the press.

Keep proper balance and footing, do not overreach and wear nonskid footwear.

7. Only use this Hydraulic press on a surface that is stable, level, dry and not
slippery, and capable of sustaining the load. Keep the surface clean, tidy and
free from unrelated materials and ensure that there is adequate lighting.
8. Inspect the press before each use. DO NOT use if bent, broken, cracked,
leaking or otherwise damaged, any suspect parts are noted or it has been
subjected to a shock load.
9. Checktoensurethatallapplicableboltsandnutsarermlytightened.
10. Ensure that workpiece is center-loaded and secure.
11. Keep hands and feet away from bed area at all times.
12. DO NOT use the press to compress springs or any other items that could
disengage and cause a potential hazard. Never stand directly in front of
loaded press and never leave loaded press unattended.
13. DO NOT operate the hydraulic press when you are tired or under the
inuenceofalcohol,drugsoranyintoxicatingmedication.
14. When work is done, stop pumping the handle, slowly and carefully remove
load from work piece by turning the release valve counter clockwise in small
increments.
15. The hydraulic press will not operate safely without proper lubrication. Using
the press without proper lubrication will result in poor performance and
damage to the press.

17. DONOTusebrakeuidoranyotherimproperuidandavoidmixing
different types of oil when adding hydraulic oil. Only good quality hydraulic
jack oil should be used.
18. DONOTexposethehydraulicpresstorainoranyotheroutdoorweather
or elements. Lubricate all parts before and after use to ensure the hydraulic
press stays in good working condition from rust or corrosion.
19. If the press needs repairing and/or there is any part that needs to be
replaced, have it repaired by authorized technicians and only use the
replacement parts supplied by the manufacturer.

PRODUCT, BUT MUST BE SUPPLIED BY THE OPERATOR.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place the heel block on press bed frame, then insert workpiece onto the heel block.
2. Close the release valve by turning it clockwise until it is rmly closed.
3. Pump the handle until serrated saddle nears workpiece.
4. Align workpiece and ram to ensure center-loading.
5. Pump the handle to apply load onto workpiece.
6. When work is done, stop pumping the handle, slowly and carefully remove load
from workpiece by turning the release valve counterclockwise in small increments.
7. Once ram has fully retracted, remove workpiece from bed frame.
1. Clean the outside of the press with dry, clean and soft cloth and periodically
lubricate the joints and all moving parts with a light oil as needed.
2. When not in use, store the press in a dry location with ram and piston fully
retracted.
3. Whenpressefciencydrops,purgethehydraulicsystemtoeliminateanyair
in the system.
4. Checkthehydraulicoil:Removetheoilllernutonthepump,ifitisnot
adequate,llwithhighqualityhydraulicjackoilasnecessary,thenreplacethe
oilllernut,purgeawayairfromthehydraulicsystem.

1. Use a qualied person to maintain the press in good condition. Keep it clean
for best and safest performance.
2. The maximum load is 12 tons. DO NOT exceed this rated capacity. Never
apply excessive force to a workpiece and always use the pressure gauge to
accurately determine the applied load.
3. Use this press for the purpose for which it is intended. DO NOT use it for any
other purpose it is not designed to perform.
4. Keep children and unauthorized persons away from the work area.

1. Purge away air from the hydraulic system: open the release valve by turning it
counterclockwise. Pump several full strokes to eliminate any air in the system.
2. Check all parts and conditions, if there is any part broken, stop using it and
contact your supplier immediately.
BEFORE FIRST USE
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Attach one base section to left post, add the support straps to the base and post
Do this using the bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts. Attach the other base
section and straps to the right post.
2. Put the press frame in an upright position, attach the two upper cross beams to
left and right posts using bolts washers, lock washers and nuts.
3. Put the upper plate onto the upper crossbeam, insert the bolt into the hole in the
upper plate, insert the ram into the hole in the upper plate.
4. Screw the upper round nut onto the ram until snug, put the under plate onto the ram
and secure the upper plate and under plate by tightening washers and nuts to bolts.
Screw the under round nut onto the ram and secure with a punch and soft face mallet.
5. Insert bed frame pin into the holes in the posts, then insert the press bed frame
into press frame and onto bed frame pin.
6. Attach the setting plate to the right post using bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts,
then secure the pump assemblies using the bolt and washers, and then insert the
handle to the handle bracket.
7. Connect the hydraulic hose fitting to the connection nut and assemble the
pressure connection nut and assemble the pressure gauge on the pressure
gauge connection nut which is on the top of ram.
8. Tighten all bolts and screws.
Use the exploded drawing as your guide to assemble. Lay all parts and
assemblies out in front of you before beginning. The following procedure
