LOCATION OF CONTROLS
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. POWER ON/OFF CONTROL
Press the button to turn the power “ON” or “OFF”.
Note : The un t can be turn on by press ng any keys on the panel (except open/close button & d sc eject
button). It w ll help the user who cannot f nd the power button n dark.
2. BAND SELECTOR
Each t me th s button s pressed, the rad o band s changed. The nd cat on “FM1”, “FM2”, “FM3”, “MW1” or
“MW2” w ll appear on the d splay accord ng to your select on.
3. PRE-SCAN/AUTO-STORE BUTTON
Th s button allows you to enjoy “Preset Memory Scan” funct on by push ng t shortly, and “Auto-Store Memory”
funct on by push ng t more than 2 seconds.
• PS (PRESET MEMORY SCAN) - It calls the memor zed stat on frequenc es (from 1-6) automat cally every 5
seconds.
• AS (AUTO-STORE MEMORY) - It searches all stat on frequenc es upward and memor ze automat cally 6
stat ons by catch ng the frequency wh ch has scan-stop level, the memor zed stat on s shown on LCD as
“1” to “6”. After memor z ng, auto-store memory funct on w ll be changed to “Preset Memory Scan”
funct on automat cally.
4. DISC SLOT
Hold ng the d sc and nsert nto the d sc slot. The d sc mechan sm w ll automat cally engage nto CD/MP3 play
mode.
5. LCD DIGITAL DISPLAY
The un t ut l zes a d g tal type d splay wh ch shows numer cal nd cat on of stat on FREQUENCY and other
FUNCTIONS.
6. DISPLAY CONTROL
Th s button serves to show ava lable nformat on as follow ng:

- Track No. / Play ng T me (dur ng CD and MP3 mode)
REMARK :
AT ANY TIME, IF THE WIRE IS DISCONNECTED, THE RESET SWITCH MUST BE PRESSED AGAIN BEFORE OPERATE THE
RADIO (REFER TO PAGE 5 FOR DETAIL). OTHERWISE, THE RADIO MAY NOT WORK PROPERLY.

SETTING CLOCK TIME MANUALLY
Br efly press “DISP” button unt l clock t me appear on the d splay.
Press and hold the button unt l the clock flash and release “DISP” button.
Wh le clock s flash ng, rotate “VOL/SEL” control clockw se to set HOUR and ant -clockw se to set MINUTE.
7. MUTE CONTROL
Press the button to mute volume control and “MUTE ON” w ll appear on the d splay.
. EJECT BUTTON
Press the button to eject the d sc ns de d sc slot.
9. OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON / DETACHING PANEL BUTTON (FIGURE A)
* Press th s button to show the d sc slot n the ma n panel. Then, press once to close the d sc slot.
* To detach the front panel, press th s button so that the panel sl de down from vert cal to hor zontal pos t on.
Use thumb hold near the preset button between 3 and 4, and use other f nger to hold the corrugated release
button at the back of the front panel wh le pull ng. After the panel s released, the sl de down metal frame
w ll automat cally move backward unt l t locks to the or g nal pos t on.
* To re-attach the panel, put the front panel to the sl de down metal frame by cl pp ng t nto place.
10. MODE SELECTION
Press th s button to select Rad o (TUNER), CD/MP3 (S-CDP), USB Input For MP3 (USB--DRIV), CD Changer
Control (CD-C), Aux ll ary Input (AUX) mode.
11. STEREO/MONO CONTROL
Press th s button to select “STEREO” or “MONO” recept on.
12. LOUD CONTROL
Press th s button to act vate the loudness c rcu try wh ch compensates for loss of h gh and low frequenc es
dur ng low volume levels.
13. LOCAL/DISTANT SELECTOR
Press th s button to prevent strong local stat ons from overlapp ng weaker stat ons. For normal operat on, press
th s button aga n for d stance “DX”.
14. VOLUME/SELECTION CONTROL
Rotate the button ant -clockw se to decrease, or clockw se to ncrease volume level.
AUDIO LEVEL CONTROL (WHEN PUSHING ONE AFTER ANOTHER)
Press th s button shortly one after another to show VOL/BAS/TRE/BAL/FAD control.
VOLUME - Press th s button once, then rotate ant clockw se to decrease, or clockw se to ncrease volume level.
BASS - Press th s button once, then rotate ant clockw se to decrease, or clockw se to ncrease bass level.
TREBLE - Press th s button once, then rotate ant clockw se to decrease, or clockw se to ncrease treble level.
BALANCE - Press th s button once, then rotate ant clockw se or clockw se to level balance of speaker r ght and
left.
FADER - Press th s button once, then rotate ant clockw se or clockw se to level fader of speaker front and rear.
AUDIO / SETTING SELECT (WHEN PUSHING 2 SECONDS)
When press ng the button for more than 2 seconds, t act vates as un t sett ng select on n cycl cal mode as
follow ng. The un t sett ng can be changed by rotat ng the button clockw se or ant -clockw se.
DSP OFF / POP M / ROCK M / CLASS M / FLAT M
ESP 12 / ESP 45 (sett ng 12 seconds or 45 seconds of electron c ant -shock t me for Aud o CD)
MULT ON / MULT OFF (not ava lable for th s model)

On rad o mode, press the button w ll tune one frequency step h gher or lower. Press ng the button more than 1
second can performs fast tun ng funct on or auto tun ng funct on.
On CD/MP3/CDC/USB DRIV mode, press th s button w ll locate the beg nn ng of the track be ng played or w ll
locate the beg nn ng of the next track. When press ng more than 2 seconds, t w ll move fast forward or fast
backward to a spec f c pos t on.
17. STATION PRESET BUTTON (1-6)
The PRESET BUTTONS on the un t are used to store stat on frequenc es wh ch you may w sh to recall. Each

IMPORTANT NOTES
• The MP3 f le record ng med a acceptable to th s un t are CD-R, CD-RW or USB flash memory.
• The MP3 formats acceptable are l m ted.
• Do not attempt to play a med a conta n ng non-MP3 f les or non-MP3 f les w th MP3 extens on. O th erw s e, t he CD
Mechan sm and USB DRIV w ll not be work ng properly. If “ERROR” s shown, t s suggested to reset the rad o by
presss ng the reset button.
PLAY ON MP3 SONG
• Insert the med a w th MP3 song n the d sc slot or nsert the USB flash memory on the panel w th adaptor prov ded.
The un t w ll start play ng and checks all the f les and folder on the med a.
• If MP3 f les and d rector es are recogn zed, the med a w ll start play ng.
• The MP3 f les and d rector es are accessed accord ng to the order wr tten by the CD / flash memory wr ter.
TRACK SEARCH
• Press “AMS” button once and “TRK SCH” w ll be shown on the d splay.
• Press “VOL/SEL” control to enter track search mode and “TRK 001” w ll appear on the d splay for you to enter track
number.
• Rotate “VOL/SEL” control clockw se or ant -clockw se to sh ft number 0 – 9 n loop rotat on.
• Press “VOL/SEL” control shortly to select the f rst d g t.
• Repeat the same procedure to enter the other d g ts f requ red.
• After the track number s selected, press “VOL/SEL” control more than 2 seconds to start play ng the selected track.
• If track number s not entered w th n 10 seconds, the un t w ll cont nue play ng the current f le.
FILES SEARCH
• Press “AMS” button tw ce and “FILE SCH” w ll be shown on the d splay.
• Press “VOL/SEL” control to enter f le search mode.
• Rotate “VOL/SEL” control clockw se or ant -clockw se to v ew the d rector es.
• After the selected d rectory s selected, rotate “VOL/SEL” control e ther clockw se or ant -clockw se to v ew the f les.
• Press “VOL/SEL” control to play the selected f le.
• If d rector es or f les name s not entered w th n 10 seconds, the un t w ll cont nue play ng the current f le.
preset button can store FM1, FM2, FM3, MW1, MW2 band stat on frequency. Press ng the button momentar ly
recalls the stat on frequency wh ch was memor zed. There are 6 preset buttons, g v ng you capab l ty of stor ng
18FM / 12MW.
NOTE: When the preset button to be memor zed s kept pressed for more than 2 seconds, the rece v ng stat on
frequency w ll be stored n the button pressed. After th s, the memor zed stat on can be recalled by press ng the
button once.
On CD / MP3 / CDC / USB DRIV Mode
Preset 1 - press th s button to pause the d sc / f le played.
Preset 2 - press th s button to scan the f rst 10 seconds of all the tracks on the selected d sc / USB dr ve.
Preset 3 - press th s button to repeat the current track of the d sc / USB dr ve.
Preset 4 - press th s button to play d sc / USB dr ve at random order - D sc shuffle play.
Preset 5 - press th s button to search prev ous d sc numbers (for CDC Mode only).
- press th s button to search -10 track (for MP3/USB DRIV Mode only).
Preset 6 - press th s button to search the d sc numbers ahead (for CDC Mode only).
- press th s button to search +10 track (for MP3/USB DRIV Mode only).
1 . USB HOST
The un t can be connected to a USB flash memory (B) for play ng MP3 songs through the spec al USB adaptor
(A) (prov ded together w th rad o) from m n s ze to the normal standard USB s ze.

CHARACTER SEARCH (OPTIONAL)
• Press “AMS” button 3 t mes and “CHAR SCH” w ll be shown on the d splay.
• Press “VOL/SEL” control to enter nto character search mode and “A” w ll appear on the d splay for you to enter f rst
character.
• Enter whole name of f les (max mum 8 characters) by rotat ng “VOL/SEL” control clockw se or ant -clockw se to sh ft
“A-Z”, “0-9” & “ ” (space) n loop rotat on.
• Press “VOL/SEL” control shortly to select the f rst character.
• Repeat the same procedure to enter the other characters f requ red.
• After the whole name of f le s entered, press “VOL/SEL” control more than 2 seconds to start play ng the selected track.
Remark :
1) The med a must conta n d rector es or f les name wr tten by the CD / USB flash memory wr ter n order to use n
search ng.
2) If only part al letters are entered for search ng e ther n d rector es or f les name, you may not get t correctly.
WIRE CONNECTION
CAUTION :
Do not connect the speaker wires to chassis or car body Each speaker wire cannot be soldered together with
other wires Otherwise, the unit will be damaged and no sound will come out anymore
RESET FUNCTION The RESET button is located in front of
the panel. It is recessed in order to
prevent accidental engagement, and can
be activated with the tip of a ball-point pen
or any similar pointed object. This reset
circuitry is provided in order to protect the
unit s microprocessor, and should only be
activated under the following conditions :
a) Initial installation after all wiring is
completed.
b) Abnormal operation is encountered such
as numerical indication on display is
erratic.
c) Whenever the reset button is activated,
all preset memory content will be erased
and must be reprogrammed.

UNIT REMOVAL
1. Remove Front Control Panel.
2. Slightly insert the key into the slot and
gently to release.
3. Separate the sleeve from the nit. Keep
release key in a safe place as yo may
need for f t re removal of nit.
WARNING!!
Due to protection of CD Mechanism, two small
screws on the top of the unit must be released
before operate the unit. Otherwise, the CD
Mechanism can not be working properly.
INSTALLATION
CAUTION : DO NOT PLACE
THE UNIT OVER THE
MAXIMUM INSTALLATION
ANGLE OF 30°. OTHERWISE,
THE UNIT MAY NOT WORK
