Operating Procedure
Having inserted the battery, you can check to see the unit is functioning correctly by pressing the mute/reset
button once within 4 seconds of tting the battery. The unit will give two beeps in succession with a red-then-
green light ash. If not, check for correct battery polarity.
Normal Operation
The unit operating is indicated by a single green light ash every 8 seconds.
Auto Mute/Reset Function
The unit, once activated (alarm mode), will sound for 12 hours (warning beep every 20 seconds). After this, if not
manually muted or reset, the unit will auto-mute for 24 hours. After this period, if the sensor is still wet, the alarm
will sound for a further 12 hours before auto-muting again.
If after 24 hours the sensor detects no water, the unit will then auto-reset.
Manual Mute/Manual Reset - Override
If the unit is activated, (alarm mode) it can be manually muted and/or reset as follows:
1. Mute (for 12 hours)
Press and hold the mute symbol for 2-3 seconds. (The unit will ash amber - no sound)
When muted the unit will still be in alarm mode and the red light will ash every 20 seconds.
Mute Cancel: Press Mute button once, conrmation is a single beep with green ash.
2. Reset
Note: The alarm can only be reset from “mute”
a) Press and hold to mute as above then release button.
b) Press (the unit will give a single beep and green light ash) and hold the mute button for 7-8 seconds.
When you hear a single long tone with a ashing green light the unit has been successfully reset.
c) Release the button.
Note: If the unit is reset and there is any water on the sensor board the alarm will immediately activate.
To avoid false alarms, the sensor tip must be thoroughly dried (e.g. with Kitchen Roll)
