1. INTENDED USE AND MODE OF OPERATION
The DALItest device servers to verify proper operation of lamps adjusted to be controlled via the DALI
interface. Testing may be performed in two ways. The first - automatic. In this mode, the lamp’s power at
the test’s initial stage is smoothly adjusted from a minor value to the maximum value (ramping). At the
next stage, a lamp is turn on and off several times. The entire test takes 10 seconds.
The other mode is a non-automated manual mode. It comprises manual, 5-step adjustment of the lamp
power with “+” and “-” buttons.
The device has 4 buttons:
• ON/OFF
• AUTO
• +
• -
There is a light-emitting diode besides each button.

2. DEVICE LAUNCHING AND DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONS
Turning the device on or off, you need to press the ON/OFF button without holding. Turning on is confirmed
by activating the LED next to the ON/OFF button.
While launching the autotest mode, you need to make sure that the LED beside the ON/OFF button is on
as well as press and hold for about 2 second the AUTO button, until the LED beside the AUTO button turns
on. When the test is completed, the LED turns off.
The autotest mode may be canceled during its course by holding the AUTO button for about 2 seconds
or by pressing the “+” or “-” button. The tester may be switched off completely while operating by the
ON/OFF button.
Operating power of the luminaire may be adjusted manually by using “+” and “-” buttons.
There are 6 levels of power adjustment.
At the minimum level, the “-” LED is continuously on, however at the maximum level the “+” LED is
continuously on. At intermediate levels, single pressing of a button causes the LED to flash.
Additional protection:
Should the user not turn the device off having finished the test, the device shall turn off automatically
after 2 minutes of inactivity.

3. DEVICE POWER SUPPLY
The tester is supplied from a 9V battery. The manufacturer recommends the ER9V battery with 1200
mAh capacity.
4. TESTER CONNECTION
Connecting the tester to a lamp with power supply adapted to a DALI interface.
The device has two single-color wires with connectors adapted to be braced on DALI bus wires. It is
possible to connect wires to a single lamp without maintaining any polarity, in contrary to the 1-10
standard, where maintenance thereof has a significant influence on proper control of the lamp’s power.
WArrANTY CONDITIONs
1. The manufacturer assures the highest quality of products included in this Warranty Card.
2. The warranty period is 2 years from the sale date.
3. The warranty condition is to deliver the claimed product with intact seal to the service company
with the warranty card and purchase proof.
4. Defects or damages occurring during the warranty period will be removed free of charge during 14
days from delivering the device to the service company.
5. The warranty period is prolonged with time during which the device is unsuitable for use. When
user receives new product instead of the defective one, the warranty period starts from the
beginning. When the product part is replaced, the above principle is valid for that part.
6. The warranty does not include damages resulting from:
• incorrect connection,
• short-circuits in controlled circuits,
• lightning,
• mechanical damages and resulting defects,
• using the device in contrary to the operation manual
7. To all matters not settled herein provisions of the Civil Code shall apply.
