KOMPATIBILITÄTSLISTE
BITTE BEACHTEN:
-Der Einbau des Radical-Geräts sollte von einem autorisierten Fachhändler durchgeführt werden.
Zur Montage werden spezifische Kenntnisse und Werkzeuge benötigt. Unsachgemäßer Einbau
kann zu Schäden am Fahrzeug und am Radical-Gerät führen.
HINWEIS:
-Das Zielfahrzeug muss mit einem Radio- oder Navigationssystem ausgerüstet sein. Das Radical-
Gerät ist nicht mit Fahrzeugen kompatibel, welche ab Werk mit einem Hybrid- oder Elektroantrieb
ausgestattet sind.
-Diese Installationsanleitung gilt für die Fahrzeugplattformen, welche in der Kompatibilitätsliste
aufgeführt sind und den Zustand, wie er vom jeweiligen Fahrzeughersteller angeboten wird.
Davon abweichende Ausstattungen und Installationen können zu Komplikationen und
Fehlfunktionen führen.

EINBAUBEISPIEL GOLF VII
DEMONTAGE UND VORBEREITUNG:
1. Öffnen Sie den Aschenbecher bis zur Hälfte,
damit Sie die Blende der Klimabedieneinheit
von Hand entfernen können.
2. Ziehen Sie die Radioblende an der unteren
Seite leicht nach vorne, um sie von der
Multimediabedieneinheit zu lösen.
3. Als nächstes ziehen Sie die Schaltereinheit mit
der Taste für den Warnblinker nach vorne
heraus, um anschließend die
Anschlussstecker zu entriegeln.
4. Entnehmen Sie die Schaltereinheit, um dann
die Radioblende zu entfernen.
5. Greifen Sie dazu in die Öffnung der zuvor entfernten
Schaltereinheit, um die Radioblende mit einem
kräftigen Ruck nach vorne zu lösen. Bei der
Entfernung der Radioblende müssen Sie darauf
achten, dass die Steckverbindungen der
Radioblende am Übergang zum Kombiinstrument
vorsichtig entriegelt werden.

6. Verwenden Sie die im Lieferumfang des Radical-
Gerätes enthaltenen Entriegelungsbügel (No. 15),
um die Multimedia Bedieneinheit zu entfernen.
Entriegeln Sie anschließend alle Stecker an der
Rückseite und entfernen Sie die
Multimediabedieneinheit
7.Falls Ihr Fahrzeug im Handschuhfach mit einem
Steuergerät für die Informationselektronik
ausgestattet ist, müssen Sie dieses zuerst
entfernen. Verwenden Sie die Entriegelungsbügel
und ziehen Sie das Steuergerät soweit heraus,
um alle Stecker an der Rückseite zu entriegeln
und entfernen Sie das Steuergerät.

INSTALLATION:
8.Montieren Sie die GPS-Antenne (Nr. 2) an einer
geeigneten Stelle und achten Sie darauf, dass der
GPS-Empfang nicht durch die Abschattung von
metallischen Fahrzeugteilen negativ beeinflusst wird
(Wärmeschutzverglasung etc.). Verlegen Sie das
Anschlusskabel anschließend in den Radioschacht.
9.Verlegen Sie die USB-Verlängerungskabel (Nr. 5, 6)
vom Radioschacht an die von Ihnen gewünschte
Stelle.
10.Verbinden Sie das jeweilige Hauptanschlusskabel (Nr.
11) des Radical-Geräts (Nr. 1) mit dem Stecker des
Fahrzeugs und schliessen Sie den
Verriegelungsmechanismus des Steckers. Verbinden
Sie anschliessend das CAN-Bus Interface (Nr. 12) mit
dem Hauptanschlusskabel. Verbinden Sie alle zuvor in
den Radioschacht verlegten Kabel und die originalen
Antennenkabel mit dem Radical-Gerät (Nr. 1).
11.
Verlegen Sie die diversen Anschlusskabel des Radical-
Geräts sorgfältig im unteren Bereich der
Radioschachts. Schieben Sie anschliessend das
Radical-Gerät vorsichtig und mit dosierter
Kraftaufwendung zurück in den Radioschacht. Drücken
Sie den R-C11VW2 soweit nach innen, bis Sie hören
wie die Verriegelung einklickt.
Der Einbau des R-C11VW2 ist hiermit beendet.

DAB-Antenne
Verlegen Sie das Antennenkabel an der A-Säule herab im Armaturenbrett entlang in den
Radioschacht.

COMPATIBILITY LIST
PLEASE NOTE:
-The installation of the Radical device should be carried out by an authorized installer. Specific
knowledge and tools are required to do the installation. Incorrect installation can cause damage to
the vehicle and the Radical device.
CAUTION:
-The target vehicle must factory configured with an OE radio or navigation systems. The Radical
device is not compatible with vehicles, which are equipped with a hybrid or electro drive.
-This device installation manual applies to vehicle platforms appearing in the compatibility list on
the previous page, and in a condition as offered by the respective vehicle manufacturer. Other
differing configurations and installations may result in complications and malfunctions.

EXAMPLE OF INSTALLATION GOLF VII
REMOVAL WORK AND PREPARATION:
1. Open the lid of the ashtray approx. half to
access and manually remove the bezel of the
air-conditioning panel.
2. Pull the radio frame panel on the lower part
forward to unlock it from the multimedia
operating panel.
3. Next, pull out the switch panel with the button
for the hazard flasher to unlock the connecting
plug.
4. Take out the switch panel to remove the radio
front panel.
5. Reach into the opening of the removed head unit to
jerk the radio front panel forward. During removing
the radio front panel, please pay attention to release
the connection assemblies of the radio front panel at
the transition to the instrument cluster carefully.

6. Use the removal tools included in the package
(No.15), to remove the EO head unit. Once done,
unlock all connectors on the backside and remove
the OE radio completely.
7.If your vehicle is equipped with an external control
module for the infotainment system, you have to
remove it first. Use the removal tools to pull out
the module, unlock all connectors on the backside
and remove it completely.

INSTALLATION:
8.Install the GPS antenna (No. 2) in a suitable position,
making sure that the GPS reception is not adversely
affected by unwanted shielding of metallic vehicle
parts (thermal insulation glazing, etc.). Then route
the connection cable into the radio bay.
9.Route the USB extension cable´s (No. 5, 6) from the
radio bay to your preferred position.
10.Connect one of the main connection cables (No. 11) of
the Radical device (No. 1) to the Plug connector of the
car and close its locking mechanism. Following this,
connect the CAN bus interface (No. 12) to the main
connection cable. Connect all the cables inside the
radio bay and the original antenna cables.

Neatly arrange the wires to the side, making room for
the Radical device. Carefully slide it into the radio slot.
Push back the R-C11VW2 until you hear the clicking
sound of the latching mechanism.
The installation of your R-C11VW2 is now complete.

DAB antenna
Route the antenna cable downwards along the A-pillar, along the dashboard and into the
radio bay.
