OWNER’S MANUAL — Please read before using this equipment.
Your RadioShack 4-In-1 A/V Selector with S-
Video Conversion lets you connect up to four
audio/video devices (such as direct-to-home
satellite systems, VCRs, DVD players,
laserdisc players, cable boxes, or video
game systems) to a single TV and sound
system. You can connect S-Video cables
directly to the selector for optimum picture
quality.
Four Audio/Video Inputs — let you connect
up to four audio/video devices.
One Audio/Video Output — connects the
devices to a TV.
Built-in Composite/S-Video Composite
Circuit — lets you convert composite video
(RCA) to S-Video, or S-Video to composite
video.
Easy Push-Button Selector Switch — lets
you quickly select the input source.

Use stereo audio/videocables with RCA-type
plugs (available at your local RadioShack
store, or on the web at RadioShack.com) to
make all connections. For the best
performance, use high-quality audio/video
cables. Do not use audio cables for video.
The selector’s color-coded jacks make it easy
to connect devices to the selector. Yellow
jacks are for video, red jacks are for right
audio, and white jacks are for left audio.#
Connect the sound outputs for each device to
a set of INPUT R/L (1–4) jacks on the back of
the selector.
If a device does not have an S-Video cable
,
connect its video output to INPUT V (1–4) for
that device on the back of the selector.
If the device has an S-Video cable
, connect it
to the S-Video S-VIDEO INPUT (1–4) jack for
that device on the back of the selector..
..
.
If the TV or monitor does not have an S-
Video cable
, connect its video input to
OUTPUT V on the back of the selector.
If it has an S-Video cable
, connect it to the
selector’s OUTPUT S-VIDEO.
Connect theTV or monitor audio inputs to the
selector’s OUTPUT R/L.

You can set the selector on almost any flat
surface. For the best results, do not place it on
top of a TV or other electrical appliance.
If you place the selector on top of your TV,
electromagnetic interference from the TV might
distort the sound from any devices connected to
the selector. If this happens, move the selector
away from the TV.

• Do not connect the device’s video output to
both INPUT V (1–4) and S-VIDEO INPUT (1–
4).)
• Do not connect the TV or monitor’s video
input to both OUTPUT V and OUTPUT S-
VIDEO.
