GENERAL POWER TOOLS
SAFETY WARNINGS
Safety instructions
WARNING!!
Read all safety warnings and all in-
structions. Failure to follow all instruc-
tions listed below may result in electric
shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future
reference.
The term ”power tool” in the warnings refers
to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or
battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
1)WORK AREA SAFETY
a) Keep your work area clean and well lit.
Cluttered benches and dark areas invite acci-
dents.
b)Do not operate power tools in explosive
atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Power
tools create sparks which may ignite the dust
or fumes.
c) Keep bystanders, children, and visitors

tractions can cause you to lose control.
2)ELECTRICAL SAFETY
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet.
Never modify the plug in any way. Do
not use any adapter plugs with earthed
(grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs
and matching outlets will reduce risk of elec-
tric shock.
b)Avoid body contact with grounded surfac-
es such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of
electric shock if your body is grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet
conditions. Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.
d)Do not abuse the cord. Never use the
cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging
the power tool. Keep cord away from
heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase the
risk of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors,
use an extension cord suitable for out-
door use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor
use reduces the risk of electric shock.

f) If operating a power tool in a damp loca-
tion is unavoidable, use a residual current
device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an
RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
3)PERSONAL SAFETY
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and
use common sense when operating a
power tool. Do not use a power tool while
you are tired or under the influence of
drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of
inattention while operating power tools may
result in serious personal injury.
b)Use personal protective equipment.
Always wear eye protection. Protective
equipment such as dust mask, non-skid
safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection
used for appropriate conditions will reduce
personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the
switch is in the off-position before con-
necting to power source and/or battery
pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
Carrying power tools with your finger on the
switch or energizing power tools that have
the switch on invites accidents.
d)Remove any adjusting key or wrench be-

fore turning the power tool on. A wrench
or a key left attached to a rotating part of the
power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing
and balance at all times. This enables bet-
ter control of the power tool in unexpected
situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose cloth-
ing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing
and gloves away from moving parts.
Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection
of dust extraction and collection facilities,
ensure these are connected and proper-
ly used. Use of dust collection can reduce
dust-related hazards.
h) Do not let familiarity gained from frequent
use of tools allow you to become compla-
cent and ignore tool safety principles. A
careless action can cause severe injury within
a fraction of a second.
4)POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the cor-
rect power tool for your application. The
correct power tool will do the job better and

safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b)Do not use the power tool if the switch
does not turn it on and off. Any power tool
that cannot be controlled with the switch is
dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power
source and/or the battery pack from the
power tool before making any adjust-
ments, changing accessories, or storing
power tools. Such preventive safety meas-
ures reduce the risk of starting the power tool
accidentally.
d)Store idle power tools out of the reach
of children and do not allow persons
unfamiliar with the power tool or these
instructions to operate the power tool.
Power tools are dangerous in the hands of
untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools and accessories.
Check for misalignment or binding of
moving parts, breakage of parts and any
other condition that may affect the pow-
er tool’s operation. If damaged, have the
power tool repaired before use. Many
accidents are caused by poorly maintained
power tools.

f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp
cutting edges are less likely to bind and are
easier to control.
g)Use the power tool, accessories and tool
bits etc. in accordance with these instruc-
tions, taking into account the working
conditions and the work to be performed.
Use of the power tool for operations different
from those intended could result in a hazard-
ous situation.
h) Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry,
clean and free from oil and grease. Slip-
pery handles and grasping surfaces do not
allow for safe handling and control of the tool
in unexpected situations.
5)SERVICE
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qual-
ified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the
safety of the power tool is maintained.

1. This appliance can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory and mental capa-
bilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruc-
tion concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children without supervision.
2. Never insert objects other than Ø7mm Rapid
glue sticks into the machine.
3. Never remove a glue stick that has already
been inserted.
4. It is normal for this tool to become quite
warm during use. This is normal and does not
indicate a problem.
5. Hot Surfaces: the nozzle of the appli-
ance and the glue can reach a temper-
ature of approx. 170°C. Do not touch
the heated nozzle or the hot adhesive. Avoid
any contact with the skin. If you burn yourself,
put the burn in cold water immediately. Never
try to remove a large quantity of glue without
medical help.
6. Some materials are heat-sensitive and can

be damaged by the hot nozzle or even the
hot glue. Whenever possible, test a piece
of scrap material or a hidden portion of the
object being repaired.
7. When you have finished using the machine,
unplug it and wait until it has cooled. Never
immerse glue gun in water or other liquids
to speed cooling process. Allow it to air cool
only. The glue gun should be stored in a
closed dry and secure place (tool box,
drawer, cupboard, etc.).

Instructions for use
Plug the glue pen cable into a suitable socket, red light on the tool
means that the power is on and it is or will get hot.
1. Always try to hold the glue pen on the indicated grip areas.
2. Allow the tool to heat for approximately 1 minute before use. Insert a
glue stick in the back of the tool.
3. When the glue pen is fully heated, squeeze the trigger slowly, until
the melted material begins to flow from the nozzle. Release the
trigger to stop the glue flow.
4. Work with the glue pen trigger to adjust the output and speed of the

melted glue.
5. To prevent clogging of this glue pen, keep feeding mechanism and
melt chamber free from dirt and other foreign debris.
6. Make sure the stand is placed in safe position on the work area, not
close to temperature sensitive materials or close to the edge of the
work area to avoid incidents. (Figure 2)
7. Store unused glue sticks in a clean environment.
8. Do not pull glue stick from the back of the glue gun. The feed
mechanism may be damaged or impaired. If you need to change
glue type, cut off the protruding end and feed the remainder through
with the new glue stick.
9. Do not place the heated glue pen on its side on any heat sensitive
material, place the glue pen in a designated stand or on a work-
bench.
10. If melted glue has escaped from the melt chamber entrance and is
interfering with the feed mechanism; allow gun to cool, and gently
remove the obstructing glue.
11.Do not use glues other than those recommended by Rapid.
12.Leaving the tool on for too long without use can lead to risks. Un-
necessary overheating over a long period of inactivity, without use,
depending on the length of time and type of glue used, can have
adverse effects.
13.Once finished, disconnect the cord from the socket.
In any case, you should never:
1. Force the trigger before the tool has heated up to its wor-
king temperature
2. Push hard on the glue stick, never attempt to remove it from the
back.
3. Repair the glue pen, any repair work on the glue pen should be
carried out by manufacturer or other by Rapid appointed staff.
4. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manu-
facturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to
avoid a hazard.
Maintenance

1. Unplug the tool before any maintenance.
2. Keep the tool, especially the glue outlet free from dust and dirt.
3. Clean the tool by a dry or damp cloth. NEVER use any solvent.
4. DO NOT oil or grease any parts.
5. Be sure the tool is not damaged.

ENVIRONMENT
Separate Collection. Do not dispose power tools into house-
hold waste! According to the European Directive 2012/19/EC
on waste of electrical and electronic equipment. When the tool
needs to be replaced, or if it is of no further use it should be
brought to a separate collection center for recycling.
WARRANTY
Warranty and repairs under warranty
Warranty period: This product is guaranteed for 2 years from the date
of purchase (original sales receipt acting as proof).
Warranty conditions: All points mentioned in this document must have
been fully adhered to. Warranty repairs: The Rapid After-Sales Service
is the only approved service to carry out warranty repairs on this tool. In
the event of a claim under the warranty:

1 Return the product in its original packaging to the shop or outlet that
supplied you with this product,
2 Accompany the returned product with the original dated receipt.
Any breach of one of these points would prevent consideration by
RAPID under the manufacturer’s warranty.

Der in den Sicherheitshinweisen verwende-
te Begriff „Elektrowerkzeug“ bezieht sich auf
netzbetriebene Elektrowerkzeuge (mit Netzka-
bel) und auf akkubetriebene Elektrowerkzeuge

1)ARBEITSPLATZSICHERHEIT
a) Halten Sie Ihren Arbeitsbereich sauber und
gut beleuchtet. Unaufgeräumte Werkbänke
oder dunkle Bereiche sind unfallträchtig.
b)Arbeiten Sie mit dem Gerät nicht in ex-
plosionsgefährdeter Umgebung, in der
sich brennbare Flüssigkeiten, Gase oder
Stäube befi nden. Elektrowerkzeuge erzeu-
gen Funken, die den Staub oder die Dämpfe
entzünden können.
c) Halten Sie Kinder, Besucher und andere
Personen während der Benutzung des
Elektrowerkzeugs fern. Bei Ablenkung
können Sie die Kontrolle über das Gerät
verlieren.
2)ELEKTRISCHE SICHERHEIT
a) Der Netzstecker des Gerätes muss in die
Netzsteckdose passen. Der Netzstecker
darf in keiner Weise verändert werden.
Verwenden Sie keine Adapterstecker
gemeinsam mit schutzgeerdeten Geräten.
Unveränderte Netzstecker und passende
Netzsteckdosen erringern das Risiko eines
elektrischen Schlages.
b)Vermeiden Sie Körperkontakt mit ge-

erdeten Oberfl ächen, wie von Rohren,
Heizungen, Herden und Kühlschränken.
Es besteht ein erhöhtes Risiko durch elektri-
schen Schlag, wenn Ihr Körper geerdet ist.
c) Halten Sie Elektrogeräte von Regen oder
Nässe fern. Das Eindringen von Wasser
in ein Elektrogerät erhöht das Risiko eines
elektrischen Schlages.
d)Zweckentfremden Sie das Kabel nicht.
Verwenden Sie das Kabel niemals, um das
Gerät zu tragen, zu ziehen oder um den
Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose zu
ziehen. Halten Sie das Kabel fern von Hitze,
Öl, scharfen Kanten oder sich bewegenden
Geräteteilen. Beschädigte oder verwickelte
Kabel erhöhen das Risiko eines elektrischen
Schlages.
e) Wenn Sie mit einem Elektrowerkzeug im
Freien arbeiten, verwenden Sie nur Ver-
längerungskabel, die auch für den Außen-
bereich zugelassen sind. Die Anwendung
eines für den Außenbereich geeigneten
Verlängerungskabels verringert das Risiko
eines lektrischen Schlages.
f) Wenn der Betrieb eines Elektrowerkzeugs
an einem feuchten Ort unvermeidbar ist,

verwenden Sie eine Fehlerstromschut-
zeinrichtung (RCD). Die Verwendung eines
FI-Schutzschalters verringert das Risiko eines
Stromschlags.
3)SICHERHEIT VON PERSONEN
a) Seien Sie aufmerksam, achten Sie dar-
auf, was Sie tun, und verwenden Sie ein
Elektrowerkzeug mit Vernunft. Benutzen
Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn Sie müde sind
oder unter dem Einfl uss von Drogen, Alkohol
oder Medikamenten stehen. Ein Moment der
Unachtsamkeit beim Gebrauch des Gerätes
kann zu ernsthaften Verletzungen führen.
b)Verwenden Sie persönliche Schutzaus-
rüstun-gen. Tragen Sie immer einen
Augenschutz. Das Tragen persönlicher
Schutzausrüstung, wie Staubmaske, rutsch-
fester Sicherheitsschuhe, Schutzhelm oder
Gehörschutz, je nach Art und Einsatz des
Elektrowerkzeuges, verringert das Risiko von
Verletzungen.
c) Vermeiden Sie eine unbeabsichtigte In-
betriebnahme. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das
Gerät ausgeschaltet ist, bevor Sie es an eine
Stromquelle und/oder einen Batteriepack-
anschließen, es aufheben oder herumtragen.

Wenn Sie beim Tragen des Elektrowerkzeu-
ges den Finger am Schalter haben oder das
Gerät eingeschaltet an die Stromversorgung
anschließen, kann dies zu Unfällen führen.
d)Entfernen Sie Einstellwerkzeuge oder
Schraubenschlüssel, bevor Sie das Gerät
einschalten. Ein Werkzeug oder Schlüssel,
der sich in einem drehenden Geräteteil befi
ndet, kann zu Verletzungen führen.
e) Das Gerät nicht zu weit vorstrecken.
Sorgen Sie für einen sicheren Stand und
halten Sie jederzeit das Gleichgewicht.
Dadurch können Sie das Gerät in unerwarte-
ten Situationen besser kontrollieren.
f) Geeignete Kleidung tragen. Tragen Sie
keine weite Kleidung oder Schmuck.
Halten Sie Haare, Kleidung und Handschuhe
fern von sich bewegenden Teilen. Lockere
Kleidung, Schmuck oder lange Haare können
von sich bewegenden Teilen erfasst werden.
g)Wenn Staubabsaug- und –auffangeinrich-
tungen montiert werden können, verge-
wissern Sie sich, dass diese angeschlos-
sen sind und richtig verwendet werden.
Die Verwendung einer Staub-absaugung
verringert Gefährdungen durch Staub.

h) Auch wenn Sie ein Werkzeug schon
oft verwendet haben, sollten Sie nicht
unachtsam werden und unbedingt die
Prinzipien der Werkzeugsicherheit ein-
halten. Eine unachtsame Handlung kann
innerhalb von Sekundenbruchteilen schwere
Verletzungen verursachen.
4)SORGFÄLTIGER UMGANG BEIM GE-
BRAUCH VON ELEKTROWERKZEUGEN
a) Überlasten Sie das Gerät nicht. Verwen-
den Sie für Ihre Arbeit das dafür be-
stimmte Elektrowerkzeug. Mit dem pas-
senden Elektrowerkzeug arbeiten Sie besser
und sicherer im angegebenen Leistungsbe-
reich.
b)Benutzen Sie kein Elektrowerkzeug, des-
sen Schalter defekt ist. Ein Elektrowerk-
zeug, das sich nicht mehr ein- oder ausschal-
ten lässt, ist gefährlich und muss repariert
werden.
c) Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der
Netzsteckdose und/ oder nehmen Sie
den Batteriepack aus dem Gerät, bevor
Sie Geräteeinstellungen vornehmen,
Zubehörteile wechseln oder das Gerät
