Sensitivity
Mousesensitivity is an internal filter of the
driver.The maximum sensitivity setting of 10
isunfiltered. Each incremental stop or se tting
isa 10% decrease, i.e. Setting 1 will decrease
mousepoi nter input to 10% (i.e. a linear graph).
Acceleration
Acceleration is an internal filter of the driver,
andi s primarily a legacy option for low dpi
miceu sers. With acceleration enabled, how
fastyou s wipe the mouse will translate to a
corresponding increase in movement
onscreen. Windows® XP has acceleration
turned on by default as a convenience for
users. However, this is on the assumption that
everyone uses 400dpi mice, so this will likely
bea hi ndrance to most gamers and precision
userswho requ ireg reater accuracy.T he
‘acceleration off’ option (default) turns off
internal acceleration only and does not affect
Windows® XP acceleration, which can be
turned off via the Control Panel > Mouse >
Pointer Options, and unselecting the ‘Enhance
Pointer Precision’ option.
Windows®Pointer Speed
Pointerspee d refersto the Windows ®
implementationof sensitivity. In Windows® XP,
asettin g of ‘5’ means there is no filtering
(default).This section has been included for
userconvenience.
DPISwitcher – Resolution
Resolutionrefers to the number of countsper
inchof movement sent by the mouse hardwareto
theOS. E.g. 500dpi means that a movement of
oneinch will result in 500 counts of movement.
Withoutany of the above filters operating, this
willresult in 500 pixels of movement on the
screen.
IndependentX- and Y-Axis Settings
Youcan preset the X-axis (horizontal) and Y-ax is
(vertical)sensitivity levels independently. When
thisfeature is enabled, a new on-t he-fly
interfacebar will a ppear onscreen to allow
furthersensitivity adjustments.

adoptthe following guidelines:
1. Avoidlooking directly at the laser bea m of
yourRazer Lachesis™ or pointing the beam

andis set o n an Always-On™ mode.
2. Shouldyou h ave troubleoperatin g the mouse
andtroubleshooting doe s not work, unplug
thedevice and call t he Razer™ hotline or go

Donot attempt to service or fix the device
yourselfat any time.
3. Donot take mouse apa rt (doing so will void
yourwarrant y) and do not attempt to service
ityourself or o perate it under abnormal
currentloads.
4. Keepmous e away froml iquid, humidity or
moisture.Operate it only withi n the specified
temperaturerange of 0˚C(32˚F) to
40˚C(104˚F).Shoul d you operate it in a
temperaturethat is beyond th is range,
unplugan d switch off the device to let the
temperaturestabilize wit hin the optimal
temperaturerange.
COMFORT
Researchhas shown th at long periods of
repetitivemotion, improper positioning of your
computerperi pherals, incorrect body position,
andpoor ha bits may be associated with physical
discomfortand in jury to nerves, tendons, and
muscles.Below are some guidelin es to avoid
injurya nd ensureo ptimum comfort while using
yourRazer La chesis™ .
1. Positionyour keyboard and monitordirectly in
frontof you with your mouse next to it. Place
yourelbows next to your side, not too far away,
andwith your mouse within easy reach.
2. Adjustthe he ight of your chair and table so
thatyour keyboard and mouse are at or below
elbowheig ht.
3. Keepyour feet well su pported, posture
straightand you r shoulders relaxed.
4. Duringgameplay, relax your wrist and keep
itstraight. If you do the same tasks with
yourhands repeatedly, try not to bend,
extendor twist your hands for long periods.
5. Donot rest your wrists on hard surfaces for
longperiods. U se a wrist support such as
thegel-fil ledRaz er eXactRest™ to support

6. Customizeth e buttons on your Razer
Lachesis™ to suit your style of gaming in
orderto minimize repetitive or aw kward

1. Plugmouse into the USB port of your computer.
2. Insertthe Razer™ driver CD into your CD-ROM drive.
3. TheRazer Lachesis™ setup screen appears. Click NEXT.
4. Readthe license agreement. Click YES if youaccept all terms of the agreement.
5. Selectthe destination folder wherethe driver software will reside. Click NEXT.
6. Selectthe programfolder for the Razer™ menu. Click NEXT.
7. Reviewyour settings. Click NEXT and installation will begin.

Assignsvarious functions to buttons. If the
buttonfunction is not listed, or if you
wouldlike to assign a macro, select
ADVANCEDFUNCTIONS from the
dropdownmenu. Macros can be up to
eightcharacters in length, and other tasks
suchas media functions can be assigned.
PollingRate
Setsthe polling rate to: 125Hz (8ms),
500Hz(2ms) or 1000Hz (1ms). Note that
anychange to the polling rate will only
takeeffect after you reboot your computer.
AdjustableDPI Switcher
Comes with fivedefault DPI settings: 500,
1000,1500, 2000 or 4000dpi. Adjustment
can be made on the fiveDPI settings by
movingthe knob on the slider. Click on the
DPIvalue to set the current DPI of your
RazerLachesis™. You can also program
DPIswitching to any button on the Razer
Lachesis™(E.g. Program mouse button 4
to3000dpi, mouse button 5 to 2000dpi).
Notethat any adjustment of the DPI
settingson the slider is reflected across
allProfiles.

MAKINGMACROS
Am acro is a short sequence of ke ystrokes. You can make a macro by followi ng the
instructions below.
1. Load the Razer Configurator.
2. Choose a mouse button and select Advanced Functions from its d ropdown menu.
3. Click on the Macro button in the Advanced Functions panel.
4. Typein the de sired sequence of keystrokes. You can also include delays by clicking on
“INSERTDELAY (50ms)”
5. Click APPLYwhe n done.
SWITCHINGPROFILES
Youcan switch bet ween profiles in three ways:
a) By s electing the active profile in the Razer Lachesis™ softwaredriver.
b) By assi gning the function to a button via the Razer Co nfigurator in the main window.
c) Byu sing the Profile button located at the bottom of the mouse. Pressing t he Profileb utton
will advance one Profile.
Example1: Selecting Profile 5 to be activate d upon loading of Program A
1. Open up the Razer Lachesis™ Driver Control.
2. Click on the Profile Selection tab.
3. Select Profile5.
4. Under Profile Name, doub le-click the field to enter name for the profile.
5. Under Application, double-click to open up the d irectory browser to locate the executable file
forProgram A .
6. Check the auto-switching option for Profile 5 to activate auto- switching.
7. Click OK.
When the active profile is switched, the Razer Lachesis™ will flash the correspondingnumber
of times – For example, if Profile 3 is ac tivated, the mouse wi ll flash three times to indicate the
profile you have selected.
Itwill record the currently-active Profileev en if turned off and wil l boot up in the active Profile.
ON-THE-FLYSENSITIVITY™
If"On-The-Fly Sensitivity™" has been assigned to a button, pressingthat assigned button and
moving the scroll wheel wi ll produce a bar at the lower ri ght-hand corner of you r screen,
allowingyou to dynamically adjust your sensitivity settings. Thisfeature requires the driver to
be installed.
DRIVERAND FIRMWARE UPDATES
You’ll be able to update the Raze r™ driver software and firmw are by clicking UPDATE in the
upper right hand corne r of the panel. This wil l connect you to www.razerz one.com for the latest
driverand firmware downloads.
RESTORING FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS
Toreset t he Razer Lachesis™ to fa ctory default settin gs, press and hold the Profile Butt on for
10 seconds while the Raze r Lachesis™ is connec ted to a powered-on compute r.
