Deploy
Ruskin software
Ruskin (for Mac and PC) may be found on the USB stick or the RBR website.
Ruskin mobile can be downloaded for IOS and Andriod from the Apple App
Store or from Google Play respectively.
Download
USB: (Desktop only)
1. Connect the USB-C desktop cable to the instrument. The instrument will
appear in Ruskin.
2. Select the “Download...” button and choose a location to store the
dataset.
Wi-Fi: (Mobile or Desktop)
1. Enable Wi-Fi by twisting the battery end-cap from RUN to PAUSE or
from PAUSE to RUN. The instrument’s Wi-Fi will timeout after one
minute without a connection.
2. Connect your computer or mobile to the instrument Wi-Fi network via
your device settings.
3. Data will download automatically from the instrument when connected
to Ruskin mobile.
1. Turn the battery end-cap clockwise to the RUN position to start logging.
The instrument will vibrate with one long pulse to indicate it has
started logging.
2. Deploy the instrument. If the unit has a conductivity sensor, ensure no
objects are placed within a 15cm radius of the cell, as this may influence
the measurement. The instrument is calibrated with all sensors, guards,
and cages in place to compensate for their effect on the conductivity
sensor.
3. Turn the battery end-cap counterclockwise to the PAUSE position to
stop logging. The instrument will vibrate with three short pulses to
indicate it has stopped logging.
