Quick Start Guide
Thank you for purchasing the RCA Digital Voice Recorder (VR5220).
In this Quick Start Guide, you will learn how to perform software
installation and to set up the date and time for your player.
Software installation
1. Extend the USB connector of the player and connect it to your
computer.
2. The first time you connect the player to your computer,
the Digital Voice Manager application will start installation
automatically. Follow the instructions on the screen for
installation.
• If the installation does not start automatically, open My
Computer and double-click the player’s drive icon. Then
double-click rcaDVM_setup to start the installation.
• If RCA Detective feature is selected during installation, the
Digital Voice Manager application will open automatically once
you connect the player to your computer.
3. After installation is completed, you can go to Start > All
Programs > RCA Digital Voice Recorder > RCA Digital
Voice Manager to start the program.
Date and time setup
1. Insert 2 AAA batteries in the player.
2. When YY shows, press /or VOL +/–to adjust the value
(default year: 2009) and then press info/menu to confirm.
3. Repeat step 2 to set the “Month”, “Date”, “12/24 hour time”,
“Hour” and “Minute”
4. After the date and time are set, press to turn on the player
and start using the player.
You can remove the rcaDVM_setup.exe file after installa-
tion to free up the space on your player. To download the
program, go to www.rcaaudiovideo.com.

esta Guía de Instalación Rápida, usted aprenderá cómo realizar la
instalación de software y configurar la fecha y hora para su unidad.
Instalación de Software
1. Conecte el reproductor a la computadora como se instruyó en la
sección anterior.
2. La primera vez que usted conecte el reproductor a su
computadora, la aplicación del Administrador de Voz Digital
comenzará la instalación automáticamente.
Siga las instrucciones en la pantalla para instalación.
• Si la instalación no comienza automáticamente, abra Mi PC
y haga doble click en el ícono de la unidad del reproductor.
Luego haga doble click en rcaDVM_setup para iniciar la
instalación.
• Si la característica RCA Detective es seleccionada durante la
instalación, la aplicación del Administrador de Voz Digital
se abrirá automáticamente una vez que usted conecte el
reproductor a su computadora.
3. Después de que la instalación esté terminada, usted puede ir a
Start > All Programs > RCA Digital Voice Recorder > RCA
Digital Voice Manager para iniciar el programa.
Ajuste de la fecha y la hora
1. Inserte 2 baterías AAA en el reproductor.
2. Cuando se muestre YY, presione / ó VOL +/– para ajustar
el valor (el año predeterminado es: 2009) y luego presione info/
menu para confirmar.
3. Repita el paso 2 para establecer “Month” (Mes), “Date” (Fecha),
“12/24 horas”, “Hour” (Hora) y “Minute” (Minuto).
4. Después de establecer la fecha y hora, presione para
encender el reproductor y comenzar a usarlo.
Usted puede remover el archivo rcaDVM_setup.exe después
de que la instalación libere el espacio en su dispositivo. Para
descargar el programa, vaya a www.rcaaudiovideo.com.
