INSTRUCTION MANUAL
INTRODUCTION
This Non-Contact Thermometer is provided to by
Remote Care Partners (RCP), for use exclusively
with the health monitoring program from your
provider.
Please read this manual carefully and keep it
handy for future reference.

NOTES ON SAFETY
Please read this section carefully to familiarize
yourself with the features and operations before
using the unit.
1. Do not drop the unit.
2. Do not immerse the unit in water.
3. Keep the unit out of reach of children.
4. Avoid touching the lens with your fingers.
5. Do not use in areas with strong
electromagnetic interference.
6. Consult your physician if the reading is out
of the normal body temperature range.
7. Remove the batteries from the
thermometer if the unit will not be used for an
extended period. This will prevent battery
leakage causing damage to the thermometer.
8. If the unit is not working properly, please
contact customer service.
9. Do not disassemble the unit, Open the
battery cover only when replacing batteries.
Handling batteries properly
As soon as old batteries run out, replace them
with new batteries.
•Do not use old and new batteries together.
•Align the polarities of batteries correctly.
•When the unit will not be used for more than 3
months, remove the batteries. Otherwise,
batteries may leak and cause damage to the
unit.

NOTES FOR USING THIS THERMOMETER
•Always make sure the thermometer is in BODY
mode before taking a measurement. The light
next to the word BODY should be lit to indicate
it is in BODY MODE. If the light next to the word
SURFACE is lit, press the "MODE" button to
select BODY MODE.
•Store the thermometer in the room where you
take your measurements. If you move the
thermometer to a new room to take a
measurement and the temperature in the new
room is very different from where the
thermometer was stored, the reading may not
be accurate. Bring the patient to the
thermometer, don’t bring the thermometer to
the patient.
•Do not allow other people to use your
thermometer. The thermometer is
specifically assigned to you and you only.
Allowing other people to use your
thermometer can mislead your provider.

QUICK START
1. Press and hold "Power/Measure” trigger to turn
on the thermometer.
2. The light next to the word BODY should be lit to
indicate it is in BODY MODE. If the light next to
the word SURFACE is lit, press the "MODE"
button to select BODY MODE
3. Point the head of the thermometer .5 inches to
approximately 2 inches from the forehead
4. Pull the “Power/Measure” trigger and release.
The temperature will display in the LCD Viewing
window.
5. The thermometer will turn off automatically in 1
minute.
6. The reading will automatically be transferred to
the RCP SmartHub and then sent to your
provider.

SETTINGS
1. Turn on the thermometer by pressing the
“SET” Key for 4 seconds to enter the set-up
mode. The LCD viewing window will display:
F-00 and alarm temperature value. Modify
the alarm temperature by pressing the
“MODE” or “MEM” keys.
2. Press the “SET” key again and the LCD
viewing window will display F-01. Modify the
alarm parameters by using the "MODE" or
"MEM" keys.
3. Press the “SET” key again and the LCD
viewing window will display F-02. Modify the
Temperature Unit (C/F) by pressing the
“MODE” key.
4. Press the “SET” key again and the LCD
viewing window will display F-03. Modify the
temperature reading saved (Yes/No) by
pressing the “MODE” key.
5. To exit the set-up mode, press and hold the
“SET” key for 4 seconds.

Do not allow other people to use your thermometer.
The thermometer is specifically assigned to you and
you only. Allowing other people to use your
thermometer can mislead your provider.
TAKING A MEASUREMENT
1. Press and hold "Power/Measure” trigger to turn
on the thermometer.
2. The light next to the word BODY should be lit to
indicate it is in BODY MODE. If the light next to
the word SURFACE is lit, press the "MODE"
button to select BODY MODE
3. Point the head of the thermometer .5 inches to

Notes on Taking A Measurement
To avoid inaccurate readings, please follow these
instructions.
•Only use this device in temperature ranges of
50°F-104°F.
•Do not use in bright, sunny environments.
•Take 3 measurements to confirm the results.
•Always make sure the thermometer is in BODY
mode before taking a measurement. The light next
to the word BODY should be lit to indicate it is in
BODY MODE. If the light next to the word SURFACE
is lit, press the "MODE" button to select BODY
MODE.
•Store the thermometer in the room where you take
your measurements. If you move the thermometer
to a new room to take a measurement and the
temperature in the new room is very different from
where the thermometer was stored, the reading
may not be accurate. Bring the patient to the
thermometer, don’t bring the thermometer to the
patient.
MEMORY FUNCTION
1. Pressing "Power/Measure" and the last
reading can be viewed in the display
window.
2. Pressing repeatedly the “MEM” to
toggle between saved readings.
3. Press “MODE once to switch from the
Body and Surface readings.

REPLACING THE BATTERIES
New batteries were installed in your device before
shipping. Unless instructed by a support person, skip
this section
This product uses 2 AA batteries. When the
battery symbol flashes in the display window,
replace both batteries.
1. Remove the battery cover and replace
the batteries according to the polarity
diagram in the battery compartment.
2. If you do not intend to use the
instrument for 3 months or more,
remove the batteries to protect the
instrument.

CLEANING
Power off the instrument and remove the
batteries before cleaning. Ensure that the
appearance of the instrument is neat, dust-free,
and dirt-free. Clean the outer surface of the
instrument (including the LED screen) with
rubbing alcohol and a dry soft cloth.
1. Keep the thermometer away from direct
sunlight, dust, and any contaminated
environments.
2. Store the thermometer at normal room
temperature, or within 50°F-104°F.
3. Don't touch the lens with the fingers. Clean
the lens with rubbing alcohol as needed.
