1. LEGAL TERMS
1.1. Intended use
Das Rückenliegebrett Liegebär„Lasse“ ist zur physiologischen Stabilisierung des Anwenders kon-
zipiert. Liegebär „Lasse“ ist in unterschiedlichen Größen erhältlich. Diese Bedienungsanleitung
beschreibt:
• Typ 167 - für Kinder und Jugendliche
mit einer maximalen Benutzerlast von 70 kg
• Typ 164 - für Jugendliche und Erwachsene
mit einer maximalen Benutzerlast von 70 kg
All safety precautions, advices and information in this manual have to be considered by the user/
operator, to insure safe and successful use of the device.
This product is made strictly for professional use by trained and professionally instructed persons.
Areas of use are: physiotherapy, rehab, physical therapy and medical therapy.
Rehatec®Dieter Frank GmbH gives no guarantee concerning suitability of this product for a parti-
cular therapeutic and diagnostic purpose. The user/operator determines the purposeful use.
This medical product is intended for indoor use at room temperatures from 15°C to 35°C. Ein Ein-
satz im Nassbereich ist unzulässig. Ebenso ist das Gerät von Wärmequellen sowie starker Sonnen-
einstrahlung fernzuhalten - Verbrennungsgefahr! Use in wet rooms is not permitted. If disregar-
ded it can cause severe damage and be dangerous for the user as well as the operator.
Zum Gebrauch ist das Gerät an eine geeignete Stromquelle anzuschließen. Im Notfall erfolgt das
Stillsetzen durch ziehen des Netzsteckers.
Risks
Depending on the medical condition and the therapeutic goal, it is important to clarify with the
physician or therapist, for how long the patient is able to stay in the standing system. The fol-
lowing symptoms might occur:
• Problems with circulation
• Pain in leg and/or back area
• Increase of spasticity
• Seizures
Many users have to initially stand in a exed position and only later can be fully extended. Never
correct the position with force or hard pressure.
1.2. Application
The Supine-Bear „Lasse“ is designed to support the therapeutic process, and can be applied in
cases with follow indications:
Muscular dystrophy, Cerebral movement disorders, Myelodysplasia, Diplegien, Tetraparesen, Spi-
na-Bida, Querschnittslähmung, Multiple sclerosis, Paraplegie.
Verschiedene Krankheitsbilder mit Lähmungen oder erheblicher Kraftminderung der Rumpfmus-
kulatur, sodass ein aufrechtes Stehen ohne umfassende Unterstützung nicht möglich oder zu
Fehlhaltung, Deformierung und Schmerzen führt.

1.3. Liability
The operator of the device is responsible for proper usage, care and maintenance of the product.
Alterations, repairs, maintenance work and upgrades of the therapy chair may only be carried
out by authorized persons, and only with original spare parts and accessories. Rehatec’s warranty
applies only when the product is used according to the specied conditions and for the intended
purposes (see also„Warranty and Service“).

2. SAFETY
2.1. Signs and Symbols
Attention!
This note indicates information that is particularly relevant to safety.

2.2. Safety Precautions
Please follow all instructions mentioned in current manual. Important functions can be aected
by incorrect operation. All safety instructions and other regulations must be observed by the user,
as well as the assisting person.
Ensure that prior to the rst use of the therapy chair all the settings are correct.
Check whether all accessories are securely mounted before initial use.
Check all settings in regular intervals. Prüfen Sie die Festigkeit von Schraubverbin-
dungen aller verstellbaren Teile. Achten Sie besonders auf Verstellmöglichkeiten
mit zwei Klemmverbindungen, ziehen Sie ggf. Schrauben nach.
Combinations of Supine-Bear with third party products can be dangerous. The ma-
nufacturer assumes no liability for damage and complications due to such combi-
nations.
Do not leave the user unattended. Make sure the person is constantly supervised
by an adult assisting person.
The therapy chair is approved for use by one person only.
Please pay attention that the user is properly secured against falling out without
restricting comfort.
Operators should be properly trained in the safe handling of the chair.The handling
of the device has to be practiced.
The therapy chair may be operated only by authorized and respectively instructed
personnel.
The maximum allowable weight must never be exceeded. (See chapter ‘’ Technical Data’’).
Keep the device from access by unauthorized persons.

In case of defects of the Supine-Bear, it may not be used.
All repair works may only be carried out by Rehatec® Dieter Frank GmbH or by au-

Do not apply force during setup the device (e.g. height adjustment), otherwise may
occur damage of the device due to improper handling. If necessary, read the manual.
Die Schraubenverbindungen der Fußplatten sind im Auslieferungszustand hand-
fest angezogen! Erst nach dem Anpassen der Fußplatten an den Fuß des Patienten
werden die Schrauben fest angezogen.
Verstellbereiche dürfen nicht überschritten werden. Eine sichere Klemmung der
Verstellungen muss gewährleistet sein.

The therapy chair may only be used on rm, at and horizontal ground.
Zur Vermeidung von Brandgefahr achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät nie in der Nähe
von oder in Verbindung mit feuergefährlichen Stoen genutzt wird! Holz, Polster
und Kunststoteile sind z.B. durch Raucherutensilien, Öfen, Herde, Kamine und
sonstige Raumheizgeräte entammbar und nicht verlässlich ammhemmend.
Oberächen können sich durch Wärmezufuhr aufheizen – Verbrennungsgefahr!
Um den Patienten vor Verbrennungen zu schützen, achten Sie darauf, dass das
Gerät von Wärmequellen (z.B. Kaminöfen) sowie starker Sonneneinstrahlung fern-
gehalten wird und sich nie höher als 41° C erwärmen kann.
Das Gerät darf nicht im Freien, im Nassbereich oder Umgebung mit hoher Luft-
feuchtigkeit verwendet werden. Auf den Oberächen darf sich kein Kondensat bil-
den.

Alle Reparatur- und Einstellarbeiten im spannungsfreien Zustand durchführen.

Kabel und Zuleitungen, des Gerätes sind nicht überfahrfest! Eine mechanische
Belastung ist zu vermeiden.
Bei beschädigtem Netzkabel und / oder Zuleitung ist der Elektrozylinder sofort
außer Betrieb zu nehmen und von der Stromquelle zu trennen.
Vorsicht bei beschädigtem Akku! Bei Kontakt mit auslaufender Flüssigkeit betrof-
fene Stellen sofort mit viel Wasser reinigen und einen Arzt aufsuchen!
Das Gerät darf nicht in einer Umgebung eingesetzt werden, in der mit dem Auftre-
ten von entzündlichen oder explosiven Gasen oder Dämpfen zu rechnen ist.
Der Antrieb, Steuerung und Akku dürfen nicht im Hausmüll entsorgt werden!

4. PREPARING THE DEVICE
Please follow the below listed steps before transferring the child onto the Supine-Bear “Lasse”!
• Locking the caster wheels (Chapter 5.2)
• Releasing the lateral trunk supports (Chapter .5)
• Releasing the Pelvic supports (Chapter 5.6)
• Opening the Buttery chest harness (Chapter 5.11)
• Swinging the Knee blocks outwards (Chapter 5.8)
• Hydraulic tilt of the entire Supine-Bear “Lasse”(Chapter 5.12 )

5.1. Transport casters
The four casters are equipped with parking brakes.
The Spine-Bear must stand on rm, at and horizontal ground.
In order to avoid accidental rolling way, always apply all parking brakes.
1To block casters, press down on brake locks.
2To release, press the parking brake lock upwards.
5. PREPARING THE DEVICE
Before using the Supine-Bear “Lasse” you have to adjust it to the body measurements of the child!
Variable positioning through multi-functional adjustment of height, depth and tilt angle, provides safe
supine positioning as well as interactive, supported vertical standing. Flexible leg rests, divided in three
interconnected parts, allow easy individual adjustment to accommodate possible contractures of the

The headrest is adjustable in height, depth and tilt.
Pay attention to hazards of jamming and crushing.
The maximum adjustment is achieved when the pipe end is ush with the guide.

Kopfauage 2in gewünschte Position bringen.

5.3. Armrest
Die Armauagen lassen sich nach Bedarf einstellen sowie abnehmen.

Die maximale Verstellung ist erreicht, wenn die Unterlegscheibe der Flügel-
schraube 1bündig mit der Kante des Bleches abschließt.
Loosen up the wing screw 1at the back of the armrest.
to adjust, put the armrest 2in desired position.
to remove, pull out the entire armrest 2.
Fasten wing screw 1again.
Bei Nutzung ohne Armauage, sollte die Flügelschraube 1festgestellt werden,
um diese nicht zu verlieren.
Repeat the steps for width adjustment of the second armrest.
5.4. Backrest
Die Rückenpelotte lässt sich nach Lösen der rückseitigen Klemmhebel individuell und stufenlos an
die Körpermaße des Kindes anpassen.

Height adjustment
Loosen both locking lever 1at the back.
Den kompletten Rückenbereich 2in gewünschte Position schieben.
Fasten both locking lever 1again.

Desweiteren besteht die Möglichkeit die Position der Rückenpelotte über deren Verschraubung
um ein Raster zu versetzen.
Die Schrauben 1lösen. Für den notwendigen Freiraum ggf. die zwei Klemmhebel 2lösen und
die Rückenaufnahme in der Höhe verschieben, Klemmhebel 2wieder festdrehen.
Rückenauage 3in der Höhe versetzen.
Fasten screws 1again.
Mit dieser Verstellung wird auch der Abstand vom Tisch zum Brustkorb verändert.
5.5. Lateral trunk supports (optional)

Aufklappen
Pull the locking pin 1down.
Die Thoraxpelotte 2lässt sich nun nach außen klappen.

Fitting to the ribcage
Pull the locking pin 1down.
Swing trunk support 2towards the ribcage.
The locking pin 1locks automatically.

Fasten both locking lever 1again.
Width adjustment
Loosen screws 1and locking lever 2with key (size M4).
Adjust trunk support 3as close as desired to the ribcage of the child.
Fasten screws 1and locking lever 2again.
Repeat the steps for adjustment of the second trunk support
5.6. Pelvic supports
Die Beckenpelotten führen die Position des Beckenbereichs und lassen sich in Höhe, Breite und
Neigung an die Lage des Beckens anpassen.

The leg supports of the Supine-Bear “Lasse” can be adjusted in various ways such as in general
height, general angle and knee angle.
Pay attention to hazards of jamming and crushing.
General Height adjustment
Loosen wing screw 1and locking lever 2at the back.
Adjust the general height of the leg support 3to the position of the leg.
Fasten screw 1and locking lever 2again.
Knee angle adjustment
Loosen wing screw 1and both locking lever 2.
Adjust the leg support 3to the desired position.
Fasten screw 1and both locking lever 2again.
Repeat the steps for adjustment of the other leg support

5.8. Anatomic Knee blocks
The optionally available knee blocks control the position of the knees. Höhe, Winkel, Neigung und
Spreizung sind individuell anpassbar.

The maximum adjustment is achieved when the pipe end is ush with the guide.
Loosen the Knee block mounting
Loosen the wing screw 1at the mounting of the knee block.
Rotate the Knee block 2 outwards.
Fasten wing screw 1again.
Knee block mounting adjustment
Loosen the wing screw 1at the mounting of the knee block.
Kniepelottenhalter 2im Führungsrohr über das Knie des Patienten drehen und locker auf das
Knie legen.
Fasten wing screw 1again.
Knee block adjustment
Loosen the locking lever 1at the mounting of the knee block.
Adjust the knee block 2to the knee.
Fasten locking lever 1again.
Repeat the steps for adjustment of the other Knee block

5.9. Individual footplates
Two footplates belong with the Supine-Bear“Lasse”.They should be adjusted to the needed height
of the user‘s feet. The various adjustment options allow for adjustment of foot length and ankle
position as well as for consideration of therapeutic goals (e.g. correction of pes equinus where
accessories available).
Pay attention to hazards of jamming and crushing.
The maximum adjustment is achieved when the pipe end is ush with the guide.
Height and Angle adjustment
Die maximale Verstellung ist erreicht, wenn die Markierung ersichtlich ist.
Loosen Stiftschraube 1with key (size M4).
Adjust height and angle of the footplate 2to the foot.
Fasten Stiftschraube 1again.
Lenght adjustment
Loosen Stiftschraube 1with key (size M4).
Slide footplate 2on the tube to adjust.
Fasten Stiftschraube 1again.
Repeat the steps for adjustment of the other footplate
