where it exit from the device.

11. Only qualified service personnel might service this device.
12. This product may contain lead and mercury. Discarding this kind of materials can be regulated
by environmental issues. To get information about discarding and recycling, contact the local

1 –WARRANTY POLICY:

2 –SECURITY PRECAUTIONS:
Make sure the bracket is fixed to the vehicle’s chassis and the monitor LCD is fitted and
screwed to it. An inappropriate tighten screw makes the device unsteady.
Never remove the monitor LCD when it is ON.
Do not touch, press or rub the LCD screen with sharp pointed objects.
When the LCD screen is dusty, wipe it carefully using a soft cloth or a dust cloth. DO NOT
USE acetone, toluene or alcohol to clean the display. Doing so may damage the screen.
Remove water splashes from the screen if necessary. They may damage the screen when
exposed for some periods of time.
Cares must be taken when temperature changes happen. Condensation may damage the
LCD screen and electrical components.
3 –RECYCLING PROCEDURE:
REI of Brazil, respecting the environment, uses materials that can be recycled. To minimize
the quantity of electronic waste, verify if there are in your region electronic recycling
collection companies or contact the monitor retailer to get recycling information.
Discard the box and packaging through the local waste material program in your region.

4 –INSTALLATION:
4.1
Caution:
Refer all installation and servicing of your rear-view camera system to authorized service
personnel.
The manufacturer does not take responsibility for installations made by unauthorized and
unqualified service personnel.
4.2 Warning:
Read all instructions carefully before mounting the system.
It is essential that your mount is properly grounded for user’s safety and preserving device
durability.
Use only parts, accessories and original cables supplied by REI of Brazil.
The 7” TFT LCD Monitor mounting brackets are suitable for panels and can be fitted or used
in pedestal.
The mounting level surface must be flat and bigger than the mounting brackets that will be
fixed in the vehicle.
The location where the pedestal will be placed must be clean.
Do not install this rear-view camera system where it may obstruct the driver’s vision.
For safe driving reasons, this system should never be used while the vehicle is being driven.
To avoid the risk of accident, do not use any entertainment features in this system that can
divert the driver’s attention.
4.3 Fastening:
The 7” TFT LCD Monitor mounting brackets are already included in the packaging.
There are two fastening methods for this monitor, choose the appropriated option to
guarantee stability and the system does not obstruct the driver’s vision.
Fitted
: This method allows the monitor to be fitted in the vehicle’s panel giving it a
perfect finish.
Stand
: This method allows a surface finish installation with height adjustable and
angle adjustable monitor. Within this installation, it is not necessary to drill a hole or
cutting the panel.

5 –MOUNTING:
5.1 Fixing the 7” TFT LCD Monitor (Fitted):
5.1.1 Unpacking:
Remove the system from its box carefully and its plastic protection.
Remove the plastic bag from the monitor and
place the monitor over a safe surface to avoid
falls.
Remove the screen protector film only when
the installation is finished.
5.1.2 Before Installing:
Separate the Base “01” and verify the best location where it may be installed allowing the
best driver’s vision.
Cut out the place where the base will be fitted. This cut must have

Fit the base into the cut and screw it to the vehicle’s chassis. (In some cases will be
necessary a fastening system for this base. It is a service personnel criteria where and how
the system will be used).
Pass the power cord through the hole and fit the monitor.
Connect the power cord, trigger, camera and 12Vdc output cameras. (See figure 8 –
Connection Diagram).
Remove the screen protector film.

5.2 Fixing the 7” TFT LCD Monitor (Stand):
5.2.1 Unpacking:
Remove the system from its box carefully and its plastic protection.
Remove the plastic bag from the monitor and
place the monitor over a safe surface to avoid
falls.
Remove the screen protector film only when
the installation is finished.
5.2.2 Before Installing:
Separate the mounting brackets “02” and verify the best location where it may be installed
allowing the best driver’s vision.
Clean the surface where the pedestal will be placed (Use isopropyl rubbing alcohol, wipe
gently and let dry).
Remove the double sided tape liner that comes glued with the pedestal. Fix the pedestal
over the surface that was previously cleaned. The drying time of the double sided tape is 24
hours. Never apply excessive force over the brackets; only 20% of adhesive capacity is
being used during the fixing process.
Fit the monitor to the brackets adjusting it to the bracket rail, adjust the height and tighten the
screws.
Connect the power cord, trigger, camera and 12Vdc output cameras. (See figure 8 –
Connection Diagram).
Remove the screen protector film.

7 –OPERATIONS:
7.1 Video Input:
VIDEO 01:
Special input for a rear-view camera. This input allows the “CAM-GUIDE”
function which modifies the image inserting four approaching levels, also allows the
“TRIGGER” function.
VIDEO 02:
Camera input.
VIDEO 03:
Camera input.
7.2 Trigger function:
Receives the trigger signal (24Vdc) when the car is put into reverse. When the
system is in Standby mode and the TRIGGER function is activated, the screen is ON
automatically showing the image sent to the input “VIDEO 01”. In case the screen is
already ON, the input “VIDEO 01” is also enabled automatically.
7.3 12Vdc Output:
This is a power output supply for the system cameras avoiding the use of a 24Vdc /
12Vdc external converter.

7.4 “CAM1-GUIDE” function:
This function allows a better visualization of the obstacle’s distance behind the
vehicle. This function inserts lines in the image helping the driver during maneuver the
car.
7.5 “SW TIMER” function:
Switch the images between “VIDEO 02” and “VIDEO 03” inputs. The switching
images speed between the inputs is configurable by the user.
Predefined values are “OFF” to “08”.
7.6 “MIRROR” function:
This function sets the image in “mirror view” mode. This mode allows the obstacles
that are located at the right vehicle side appear to the left monitor side. The camera
can be installed to get a front view and/or rear view. This function makes that the
image is always compatible with both sides where the obstacles are located.
7.7 “PICTURE”function:
Allows changing the picture adjustments:
- CONTRAST
- BRIGHTNESS
- TINT
- COLOR
- SHARPNESS
- COLOR TINE
- SCALE
7.8 OSD function:
Allows changing the OSD menu settings:
- DURATION:
Adjust the duration time of the OSD menu.
- HALFTONE:
Adjust the transparency of the OSD menu.
- INFORMATION:
Used to verify
the image information.
- MEMORY RECALL:
Used to set the default factory values

9 –TROUBLESHOOTING:
9.1
No power ON
:
Verify if the power cord is connected to the monitor.
Make sure that power cord is getting 24Vdc. Verify if the system fuse or the monitor fuse is
blown.

9.2 No Image:
Verify the video inputs cables are connected correctly.
Verify the cameras are installed correctly and the power cord is getting 12Vdc
10 –GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS:
10.1 Application:
This product was developed using Embedded Technology principles, guaranteeing all its
components can work in environments with constant vibrations without affect the image
quality or causing damage the device.
This system is projected to be used as a rear-view camera system and cabin monitoring
system. This guarantees better safe maneuvers and allows the driver to visualize what is
happening into the vehicle’s cabin.
10.2 Technology:
The monitors manufactured by REI of Brazil use TFT technology, allowing best image
quality of the LCD monitors.
Backlight LED technology guarantees less power consumption, high contrast, more
brightness, and thin screens reducing the weight and improving the heat dissipation.
10.3 Identification:
All the devices have an identification label with: Product code, serial number, manufacturing
lot, week and manufacturing year. This information is useful to track the device, the year and
manufacturing model and identify the components in case of requiring replacement parts.
