INTRODUCTION
The Radial Clamp is designed to fasten accessories with round post, 20 mm, to an accessory rail of an
operating table. Also posts with diameter 18 and 16 mm can be used in this clamp. The clamp is of
“hook on” model with eccentric quick lock. This clamp shall not be used in applications, where a high
bending torque can appear in the accessory, directed towards and across the operating table. For
example leg holders, knee supports and other equal accessories. In those cases shall the clamp 10-304 or
10-305 be used.

This user manual is for clinical personnel, service personnel and others who need the knowledge about
and understanding of how the radial clamp works and how it can be used.
Read user manual carefully before using the equipment.

INSTALLATION
At the unpacking, check for any kind of damage and that all parts are received according to the delivery
note. Also check for loose parts in the box. The packing material consists of cardboard and plastic,
which all can be recycled.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Radial Clamp fits on an

IMPORTANT SECURITY INSTRUCTIONS
A control of the locking function must be done before every application with patient.
Service and preventing maintenance shall be done by authorized personnel and
according to issued interval!
CAUTION! When the lever that locks the accessory in the clamp is released, the
accessory must be supported with the other hand or by some other person.
Uncontrolled folding down or lowering can cause injuries to the patient, to the
personnel or damage to the equipment.
CAUTION! To avoid damage to equipment or building parts, all movements with
mobile operating tables must be done very carefully.
The radial clamp is designed for a maximum working torque of 150Nm along the
operating table and across and from the operating table. For torques directed across
and towards the operating table the maximum torque is 75Nm. To keep the safety
factor according to the European standards EN 60601-1 and EN606001-2-46, this
torques shall not be exceeded. Overload can cause injuries to the patient, the
personnel or other equipment.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTION
Be aware that service, preventing maintenance and all repairs only can be done by authorized,
educated personnel. Changing of the construction without a written permission from the
manufacturer is strictly forbidden. Transgression will be prohibited.
Cleaning.
Clean with antiseptic soap detergent with PH 6-8 and warm water. Dry with soft cloth. Alcohol may
be used on metal parts. Don´t use detergents containing strong acids or bases.
Control.
Check for any kind of damage on the radial clamp. Check the locking function by mounting the
clamp on an accessory rail with a short shaft of 20 mm in the clamp. Lock it against the rail and then
try to lose it without opening the locking handle.
Annual service.
Once a year the radial clamp shall be carefully cleaned. Moving parts and threads shall be lubricated
with water resistant grease. All parts are to be checked in a function control. The locking systems
shall be checked and if necessary adjusted.
