This appliance is intended for household use only.
Revlon®styling irons are designed for safety and performance. This appliance has a polarized
plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature.
CERAMIC COATING
Ceramic Coating helps reduce damage from over-styling with even heat distribution that
penetrates hair quickly and styles from the inside out.
AUTOMATIC WORLDWIDE DUAL VOLTAGE
This appliance will automatically adjust to the proper voltage, In North America, connect the plug
into any outlet. Outside North America, use a plug adapter of the proper configuration with the
plug before connecting to any outlet.
OPERATING THE STYLING IRON
OPERATING UNIT IMPORTANT: When using the styling iron for the first time, select the
LOWEST heat setting and test in one small section of hair for 5 to 8 seconds. If you want to use
a higher setting, be sure to GRADUALLY increase the temperature. Never style hair for the first
time on a high setting as this may damage your hair. Use only as much heat as you need for
effective curling. Over time, using more heat than is necessary can result in hair damage. For best
results, follow the guidelines below:
STYLING TIPS
• Your Revlon®styling tool is ideal for creating gorgeous curls or smooth straight styles in all
hair types.
• Hair should be clean and dried completely before using any styling tool.
• Plug your styling iron into an electrical outlet. Push the “On” Button, select the arrow button
temperature control that is best suited for your hair type. (See guidelines under “Heat
Control.”) Unlock the locking switch to begin.
• Separate a 2-inch section of hair and clamp ends to styling iron barrel to curl or glide down
through hair to straighten.
• Using one hand to hold the Cool Tip and the other to hold the handle, roll hair under for a
curl, over for a flip or glide straight down for smooth straight hair.
• Leave in hair for an average of 5 to 8 seconds, then slowly unroll for curls.
• For straight hair gently place hair between the hot smoothing plates and clamp down firmly
on the handles. You will achieve professional results if you work from the scalp to the ends of
your hair.
• Push the “OFF” Button and unplug the styling tool after styling is complete.
• Allow the hair to cool before combing or brushing.
Important: The high-performance heater in this unit contains an oil-based protective coating that
will burn off during the first few minutes of initial use and may emit smoke and/or an odor. You
may also hear a humming noise during use. This is normal and is not a cause for concern.
WARNING: Plates reach very high temperatures, and area surrounding plates may also be hot.
Do not touch hot surfaces of the appliance. Hold styling iron only by the handle and Cool Tip.
STYLING TIPS FOR REVLON®BRUSH IRONS
• Using one hand to hold the Cool Tip and the other to hold the handle, roll hair under for a
curl, over for a flip, or loosely for body.
• Leave in hair for an average of 5 to 8 seconds, or 10 to 15 seconds for thick or coarse hair.
Slowly unroll.
• Allow hair to cool before brushing or combing.
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Maintenance
Your appliance is virtually maintenance-free. No lubrication is needed. Keep heated surfaces clean
and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning becomes necessary, unplug the appliance from
the power source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist
prior to use.
WARNING: If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair it. This appliance has no user-
serviceable parts.
STORAGE
Unplug appliance when not in use.
Allow appliance to cool and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the
cord around the appliance since this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle
cord carefully for longer life and avoid jerking, bending sharply, twisting, or straining cord,
especially at plug connections.

CAUTION
NEVER wrap the power cord around the appliance.
Any pulling, twisting, severe folding or bending can
damage the cord, especially at the point of entry into
the unit, which may rupture the cord and can cause an electrical short or
other failure.
Regularly inspect the cord. DO NOT use an appliance with
a twisted, bent or otherwise damaged cord, or if the
appliance receives power irregularly. If cord is damaged,
or for irregular power issues, refer to instructions in the
WARNING section further below.
STORAGE
Appliance should be disconnected and allowed to cool before storage.
Do not apply stress or tension to the cord’s point of entry into the unit.
During storage, cord should remain loose with no tight bends or folds,
and appliance should be placed in a secure, dry location out of reach
of children. For further details, refer to the STORAGE section of the
Operating Instructions.
